1. Living in Essex right on the District line, I plan on going, depends on the price of the tickets tho, not gonna pay more than £45 for me and my son. When do they go on sale?
2. Couldn''t agree more with the OP, was at the game with my boy, and we were awful from kick off. No fight, no spirit, no passion. They were there for the taking the way the p1ss about at the back if Hooper had had help from the midfield in closing down we could have forced more errors. The thing that smacks me in the face is our tempo. We are sooooo slow in our play, Southampton attacked with pace and at down the wings and in numbers. Have we ever done that with Hughton in charge. Have been to 5 away games this season with my boy so probably spent with travel etc getting on for £300-400 and we see the same crap each time, I only do it for my son. The Southampton fans were quality and for me sang the chant of the season after we went 2 down "you''ve had a day out, ow f**k off home, you''ve had a day out now f**k off home" Did make me chuckle.
3. Tee one I remember and is on youtube i think, is when Jackson scored the winner against Derby ran over to the snake pit and the bloke lept from the crowd and landed on the advertising board and went base over apex.
4. The issue if we stay up is the utter rubbish, boring, negative football we have played for 80% of the season. it is mind numbing at times and some of the tactical decisions have been baffling. Yes great result yesterday and great second half performance, but the first half was crap. If spurs had played to their potential we would have been out of the game by half time. Even if we do stay up it''s still out for me.
5. 21 years ago today, Booby Moore, England''s greatest ever captain died of cancer. With the word legend being used all to easily in the current age, he really was a legend. Couldn''t pass, couldn''t head the ball, couldn''t tackle and had no pace, but still the best defender the world has ever seen. RIP Bobby
6. Quote from Mcnally yesterday "If results are not good enough, you have to be aware of who is out there to help. You look at the market and who might be right for Norwich City". My question is, how long do we wait to sack him? Results haven''t been good enough all season and only the odd win here and there have kept our heads above the bottom 3, we can''t string 3 results together for toffee. So should we bite the bullet now and get rid or wait til we are in the bottom 3, by which time it could be too later (especially with our last 4 games)
7. Don''t know if this stat has been mentioned but it''s staggering. Hughton has made 63 subs including tonight and not one has scored or made an assist. And that is why we are where we are. After tonight''s first on taking off hooper and bringing on elmander proves how clueless he is and needs to go. Also off topic but who is snodgrass blowing to get straight back in the team and not be substituted. He must be f***ing someone.
8. you took the words right out of my mouth, in-form my a**e
9. absolute joke that is, Flores should be the one banned for cheating, even the Swansea boards have condemned Flores. Would love to know who sits on these 3 man panels.
10. if it stop him sending in sh*t crosses play him in goal.
11. Stoke, Sunderland and West Brom at home. We always do well against Swansea and if Caroll is suspended for West Ham then we will get a point there. But I reckon that we will get maybe 9-10 more points.
12. I can''t BELIEVE the spelling to be honest
13. Why would we need to replace him, he has played 5 games all season.
14.
Lets be realistic, he''s 24 played for the biggest club in the world and one of Europes biggest clubs in the world. Being 24 he''s still yet to reach his full potential and to play for Man U there must of been something about him for him to get through the ranks. Maybe playing a quiet little club like Norwich could do him some good? I''m trying to put a positive spin on things. Can''t be any worse than Elmander and he plays as a AM as well as a wide player. If he was 28 years old I''d be more worried.
One of Europe''s biggest clubs in the World. Sorry that did make me laugh
15. no not politics, the fact that the clubs valuation hasn''t been met is the main reason. £750k is a derisory offer. He can throw his toys out of the pram all he likes but until a sensible offer is received then he goes no where. If he criticizes the club or manager etc then he should be fined accordingly, they are his employers. Why should we sell for anything less than the £2m quoted that we want for him??
16. Apparently it''s a done deal, on loan til end of season. Not so sure is 33. http://www.turkish-football.com/news_read.php?id=5596
17. West Ham won''t go down, now that Collins and Tomkins are back at centre back and still with Reid to come back, Carroll is back and once they start scoring goals they will be fine. The have kept the most clean sheets with Arsenal 10! if they could have scored in most of those games they would be where Newcastle are. The 3 for me are Cardiff, Fulham and one from Palace or Hull
18. None. Have been to 16 games home and away and seen 12 Norwich goals (2 in the first match v Everton) Missed the West Ham match. Probably the first half against Man Utd was the only time for the whole season I felt pleased with how we played and not bored
19. Ruddy, Bennett, Hooper without a doubt were the only 3 to come out with any credit. Hooper especially run his nuts off was the only one in the first half to show any fight. Russ was ok but didn''t get much defensive help same with Olsson. The rest were poor to awful. Subs wise, Elmander and Redmond changed the tempo of the game, Tettey wasn''t on long enough. To say Pilks was ok is a joke, yeah he got more match time but my god he was awful. Fer RVW Johnson, Snodgrass sorry would have scored 2-3 out of 10.
20. I didn''t boo the sub, thought it was totally right to protect the point after Johnson got sent off. Was also not singing Hoolahans name either. I support the team but we are so boring to watch. I have been to 16 games this season home and away (missed the West ham game as was on holiday) and have seen us score just 12 goals, two of the came in the first game against Everton and that is the only time I have seen us score more than 1 in a game!!
21. Well what can I say that was awful, got back to essex at half 1 this morning so had time to ponder our current situation. Those people last week who laughed at me wanting to snap celtic and swansea hands off and offering to drive them their, still after last night cannot be so blinkered as to thinking that these two are worth £8-10m as some people suggested. If anything these prices are way too high. Two "wingers" and i use that term very loosely that can''t control a ball, can''t beat a player for pace can''t cross a ball (for the love of god you get paid £30k a week and you can''t cross a dead ball!!!!) fall over for no apparent reason moan all the time at other players (snodgrass that is). Am sick and tired of watching the same sh**e week in week out. I would love to be in a Hughton press conference and ask him what do they do in training, because it''s definitely not the following: Defending Attacking Attacking with pace closing down CROSSING I think it must be a whole weak of passing sideways and backwards for 5 minutes then hoofing it down the channels. But alas I will never get to ask these and many other questions so called "proper journalists" are too scared to ask. I await your well thought out and measured responses ;)
22. £3m apparently. For a player that has more time on the physio table than on the pitch. Hold out for £4m and cash in I reckon
