  1. Forgot to ask over the phone how many are travelling to WBA, does anyone have any idea? 2,000+?
  2. Has this been reported to the club yet? I hope so because this is disgusting. Generally where I was sitting upper tier, Y2 I think to the left behind the goal we were very well behaved. I heard none of this but had I, as others did I think I''d have told them to quieten down. I commend you for that by the way, because it''s intimidating speaking to anyone at a football match about being quiet- but specially once under the influence of alcohol.
  3. Seriously enjoyed reading this back- so glad Hoolahan didn''t move and has changed everyone''s opinions. Magic now.
  4. I have to agree the lack of noise is disappointing because as Lambert and the players have said many times- the noise makes a difference. He said we were flat against Fulham first half and that affects the player. So More Noise=Better performances So therefore the more that sing make noise the better. But I''ve been told to be quiet when unfortunately I had to sit the Barclay and was dragged into my seat whilst I was on my feet as we attacked against Stoke after the penalty save. I must say I turned around and blew my lid- probably over reacted but it''s a football ground. Fortunately that was only for one game and I usually sit in the Barclay. But if people want to sit in silence, sit in the N&P. But Jarrold Lad- just sit in the Barclay next season it''s cheaper season ticket anyway and the atmosphere is much better.
  5. Does anyone know how many points we were on this time last time we were in the Prem? Not that it counts for much... but just be interesting to know?
  6. Agreed- not sympathy. I sat in the Villa end this season- due to a free season ticket. I sat their in silence, if I were to celebrate a goal I''d expect to be thrown out. Even with Pilkington''s freekick flew in. I just sat there. It is hard to show no emotion but if you''re stupid enough to celebrate. Expect to get thrown out. Regardless of age, he must of had a minder (a parent?) with him- it''s a tough lesson. But imagine if a Spurs fan was found in the snakepit- it would be carnage?
  7. If you''re disagreeing with my anger at the Adebayor chant being sung?! Then you''re condoning racism. I''m sticking by what I said, we have a family club image that some fans despise. I don''t, if you want to take kids- sit in the N&P there will always be swearing etc but racism? That''s completely different.
  8. Would LOVE Frimpong. But as he openly admitted on Soccer AM- he is an awful trainer- (worst at Arsenal). I have a feeling this just isn''t a Lambert signing? I like the looks of him, very good player. BUT maybe a bit too much socially to suit the ''Lambert Mould''? Thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hE_nCwCT3LM
  9. Barclay A-Block. Right on the wall- as far as I could tell it was snakepit- but I do apologies if it was Barclay A Block. I just heard what I thought was noise above me, but thinking about it, it could have been behind. It was only 3 or 4 voices, it was very faint. But still, it doesn''t take much for a song to be picked up. Whoever it was Barclay or Snakepit, I was just a bit disillusioned with it because generally I''d say our following has a very clean cut image- (which some will disagree with) but is a very positive thing. I''d rather that then be Leeds or Manchester United. I went to see Bradford- Sheff United JPT and I was with the Bradford fans in the away end, and I was intimidated standing with them- and I was supposed to be a Bradford fan- it was horrible. I''ve never felt that way with Norwich fans, it''s always a good atmosphere. Just disappointed that a handful could spoil a good reputation.
  10. Appreciate the feedback guys! Will definitely take it all on board. It''s not meant to be a match report- not really sure what it''s meant to be. Just something a little different I guess- I''m just writing up a few pieces to try and get myself a placement with a magazine or newspaper during the summer and I guess one way of setting myself apart is creating a portfolio of work that differs from your standard match report. 11. We are only commenting on his physical appearance- as said before. Same as ripping Crouch for his height, Holt for his weight, Gunn for having no hair. There is no denying he looks like a chimp, it''s either that or giving him stick about being Welsh- which probably would have ended even more racist. He knows he looks like a chimp but on 40k+ a week I really don''t think he cares. However I do agree with some of what has been said about the snakepit- there is an element that sometimes arises which are quite nasty- either racist/homophobic. Because I definitely heard a quiet rendition of ''Your dad washes elephants...'' Which has no place in modern society.
  12. Just wondering if you guys could give me a little feedback- want to become a journalist and what better critics then the guys who watched it unfold. Negative or positive, all helps.... 49 minutes 32 seconds into on a warm May Day Bank Holiday game a ball is hopefully pumped forward into the channel. Elliot Ward is clearing his lines, with little intention of finding a man. Under close attention from Herman Heridasson , Andrew Crofts’ awkwardly controls; it bobbles back down toward the onrushing out of position Grant Holt. Portsmouth’s 6 retreats to cover the run of Holt and Dickinson lumbers to pay closer attention to Crofts’. Looking for a pass, Hoolahan rushes closer screaming for a short. Crofts changes his mind twice as his foot twitches. The incoming Mullins causes the shift in Crofts’ intentions as space is created in the otherwise tight blue defence. The ball is squeezed past Mullins 20 yards into the path of Fox. Stationary 35 yards from goal, with two yellow shirts in front; the blue wall formed. Four men holding a tight line on the edge of the area leaves few options for Fox. His touch rolls the ball in front, but not far enough. His stride becomes small taking three shorts steps to steady himself. Jamie Ward is out of position and desperately sprints to cover his short fallings whilst earlier ball watching. In the other channel, looking hopefully to Fox waiting on the shoulder of De Laet is Simeon Jackson; in fine goal scoring form but looking off the pace this evening. It’s the opportunity Norwich have been waiting for- De Laet is watching Jackson so is unaware of the deep cross attacking the back post. Fox gently swings the ball toward Jackson’s run. As the ball leaves his foot, Mullins is 5 yards short of blocking the cross- he becomes a bystander watching the ball float dangerously into the box. By this point Jackson is spriting, De Laet’s run stutters misjudging the flight. Simeon’s eyes never leave the ball. The ball crosses 2 yards in front of De Laet’s path, ever dropping invitingly. Simeon throws himself into the path of the ball. Jamie Ashdown- Portsmouth’s number 1 repositions himself as the ball is rolled into Crofts feet- expecting the spectacular shot he braces himself, legs ever so slightly bent, hands wide and arms extended. As the ball is swung into his domain, he reads the cross but not the curl. He rushes out to claim, realizes his mistake as ball viciously bends into the path of Simeon and stops dead. Hands rise again to chest height. He takes a small step back and two to the side to narrow the angle at his near post, and once again braces himself for the incoming effort. Simeon’s dive means he connects slightly above the ball. The mitre is fired into the turf in front and just to the side of Ashdown’s right boot. His hands are obsolete raised and his feet as stuck to the ground. -GOAL- The ball ripples the net and the 3,000 Norwich faithful behind the goal explode into raptures. This could turn Norwich into a Premier League goal- the joy is indescribable. Jackson trotting back to the half way line to restart the game at 1-0 a minute has elapsed since Elliot Ward’s clearance. 50.32. The most important minute in the recent history of Norwich City Football Club- OTBC
  13. How old is your little brother? Don''t want to be the oldest there, haha!
  14. Just wondering if any of you were as lucky as me to win one of the training days next Friday afternoon and if so, how much Footballing experience do you actually have? I don''t want to be shown up, specially with Iwan Roberts about.
  15. The club wouldn''t be loyal to you in the reverse situation, if you were having a bad season but said you could improve next season just give me another year. You''d be out on your ear, so as much as I''d want to play for Norwich, if a chance to earn 5/6 times as much came along you''d have to take it for security once your playing days were over. That''s why I wouldn''t mind if any of our players were snapped up by a bigger club with European ambitions (UEFA Cup), but if anyone left for WBA, Wolves, Swansea etc, I''d be pretty p*ssed off.
  16. I spoke to the ticket office whilst purchasing my tickets, and they were clueless... "How many have we got going up...?" "Got 3 now with the tickets you''ve just brought..." I''d imagine it''ll be around 3,000/4,000 considering it''s only £22 a ticket, it offsets how far away it is, specially with a car full. We''ll definitely be louder than them.
  17. I wouldn''t imagine there is any truth in it? But, potentially? Spotted at Carrow Road, can anyone confirm/deny? Could be a good loan move.
  18. One of the most idiotic posts I''ve ever read. I really hope you''re kidding?
  19. I''m a pretty regular fan, and come back when I can from Uni share a season ticket, so not a bad fan, get to as many as I can really. So I decided to go with some casual fans, and a couple who support QPR last night but reside in Norfolk, all in all 7 of us. The casual who bought the tickets decide to put us in E Block, row L right against the wall. Not that I have a particular problem with sitting there, but we were sandwiched between two rows of reasonably loud fans, and I know all the chants I couldn''t really hear what they were like at the back, but some of these didn''t have a clue. I''m all for getting more money into the coffers, disregarding who turns up, and the more fans the better in my opinion. However, they were at Carra'' to cause problems more than just create an atmosphere, constantly looking over at the away fans trying to incite some trouble and as one Asian Man descended to speak to the stewards at the bottom I heard "Get back to your Corner Shop..." and "Where''s your elephant...." Which I think is ridiculous, in all the time I''ve been going to watch Norwich, I have never heard such blatant racism. I was shocked. As I said all for casual fans, but when they''re just trying to incite trouble....they can stay at home in their burberry caps. W**kers.
  20. What was said about Norwich in Rios Autobiography? I was quite surprised he knew so much about Norwich, but good on him. Holt will be one of the toughest strikers he''ll face this year.
  21. "#MOTD Holt is a quality player but the clips shown just then did nothing for him at all....who picked the clips an ipswich fan!?" Rates Holt, running scared for October 1st. Got injured on purpose I heard... Just the type of player that will cause United problems if he''s fully fit and never stops running.
  22. Certainly willing to put in money for this banner. Just produce a group with paypal methods but make sure we can actually put it up first.
  23. It''s definitely true. Lambert has decided he still has life on the football pitch has tripled his own wages and will be play the Lone Striker role as he was so disappointed and never being signed by a Premier League club in his playing days, he''s convinced he can take Norwich to the title by bagging the goals; hence selling Grant Holt
