1. Absolutely gutted, been a hero to me and my kids. However, have to concede, time is probably right and he leaves as a great . Best of luck Holt and lets hope McNally can work on getting some new heroes in OTBC
2. Suppose that appears a fair comment, but if you ask my wife what sort of mood ive been in for the last few weeks you would know how much Norwich means to me Anyhow call me a plastic as much as you like, i''m in too good a mood to argue :)
3. Just got tickets for me and two kids, bloody expensive but couldnt resist Didnt want to get before today as couldnt face us being a bad luck omen and the kids see us being relegated Now, its party time!!!!
4. To be fair villa are doing very well, but come on chelsea!! Draw here and no benteke for final game is bad news for us
5. I am not so sure Lambert would like to send us down. Been a lot of bad blood but we really gave him the reputation which he will now build his whole career on. Most importantly he is a stubborn winner and just doesnt like losing!
6. Please No!!! I remember when darel russel scored that one great goal and then for the rest of the season everytime he had the ball the crowd would shout shoot. Sadlly, he seemed to listen which left to numerous rubbish ''johnsonesque'' shots ;)
7. Like many on here, i have been frustrated by the constant references to what Lambert would have done better than hughton this year. However, there really would be an irony if we managed to stay up because of his Villa beating wigan. Whilst i was gutted when he left and like many thought he went about it totally the wrong way, i still regard him as a legend for taking us from league one to the premiership. Lets hope he can be a hero for us just one more time!!
8.
Don''t understand why Tettey not starting. Let''s hope Howson justifies his selection today.
Hasn''t this board been full of people moaning about two defensive midfielders. I am not the biggest Howson fan but he does have the capability to be more adventurous and a better passer
9. My only concern is that this is the team and players that Lambert knows best. Not sure what Becchio must be thinking other than might as well start packing his bags
10.
Sorry, but that''s rubbish. Anyone who thinks Holt doesn''t want to be scoring goals every week and earning himself an England call up should check themselves into Hellesdon immediately. I''d suggest his recent performances are down to frustration rather than him resting on his laurels.
I am sure he wants to, but In recent games he hasn''t shown the effort, motivation or skill to do so! The passion may be there but it is certainly not being channelled in the right direction!
11. Never thought I would say it, but it does look like it was a mistake not to cash in on him when he wanted to leave. I probably agree that some blame can be laid at the managers feet in terms of motivation and team formation. However, I can''t help thinking that after the contract saga there is a hint of holt feeling he proved he was bigger than the club and has sat back on his laurels a bit this year. Fact is once a player says he want to leave you should probably let him. the absence of any genuine competition for him has probably not helped either. Having said all that, in the ideal world he could still turn it around in the next few games to ensure our safety. He could then leave with his head held high and quite rightly leave as a legend.
12. Christ, shows how bad the situation is if Jackson might be the answer!! What''s worse is its probably worth a go!!!
13. This site is beginning to get ridiculous Cant believe so called fans are now taking the opportunity to just slag off a couple of young players. They both look like good prospects to me ,yes still plenty to learn, but they need encouragement and support. Hope the crowd on Saturday support the team as well as the crowd there tonight and certainly better than some of the people on here
14. Heart says survive Head says survive 😄
15.
In terms of football quality this is about the worst Norwich performance I have ever seen. They are totally devoid of confidence and nobody finds any space going forward it is simply a case of playing comfortable balls across the defence. Ball control and losing possession when under little pressure is grim. The odd cross in to the box is invariably poor and Kamara and Holt embarrassing. Holt loks unfit and uninterested. Only bright light is Whittaker who is having an excellent game. Would bring on Becchio and Pilkington to play up front. Amazingly we are still in the game against a very average and lacklustre Arsenal. BUT we are still in the game so lets keeping hoping for a miracle.
Presume this is the first Norwich game you have ever watched then!?!?
16. Everybody is being so negative, but half time 0-0 sounds pretty good to me. We have been determined and well organised if not threatening (guess that hughton all over!?!) We are in the game though and could see us threatening with some set pieces in second half Would also look at getting Bennett on later to use his pace All to play for!
17. As expected, majority on here seem to disagree. Whilst i wouldn''t go as far as calling any binners it does surprise me the glee some seem to take in our current predicament. As unlikely as a win will be, it is still possible and i still believe that the team and hughton can do it On the ball city !
18. I know I will get shot down for this and that there is a chance this post will get brought up again after the game (by many posters on here who seem to get more out of gloating over a loss than us actually winning!) But..... I just have a feeling that the Arsenal game could throw up a surprise results. Ironically, I think the players might benefit from being in a game where nothing is expected of them. Most will have us down to lose and therefore will be no pressure. Also, despite our lack of losses at home and failure to win away (other than Swansea) , i think with a vocal away support and no additional crowd tension it might work in our favour. Going for a 2-1 away victory with us getting the winner in 80th. Ok, I may be a dreamer, but I am not the only one (or am I??)
19. It is interesting how some still regard Lambert as the messiah whilst hughton is the devil. Don''t get me wrong, i loved Lambert whilst he was here but I do doubt why some people are so adamant we would be better off if he was still here. I am not sure if on paper our squad is any better than villas and for all the talk of Lamberts great motivating skills and great substitutions they are in the bottom 3 and have less points than us. Perhaps the grass isn''t always greener?!?
20. I really don''t want to be over negative but like most fans i am now genuinely worried about how this season will end. I am just wondering what people''s opinion is on how we were able to go on such a great run and what is missing now? Surely it can''t just be Ruddy?!? More importantly, what can we do to get that magic back for the remaining games??
21. It''s one of the downsides of our current position that i end up supporting the likes of Man U etc. Would always normally support the under dogs or smaller team. Oh well. Come on Man U!
22. Am I the only person who liked Cedric Anselin?!? Even I don''t really know why but just always seemed a whole hearted decent player, also use to enjoy singing his name. Funny how some players just appeal to certain fans
23. Have to say i don''t know a great deal about him as a player but goal scoring record is excellent. Most importantly, it is a statement of intent from the club that we are going to compete with other premier league clubs and not just settle for cheaper players who wil have to, in reality, play beyond their ability but instead make quality acquisitions. I know some are querying the fee but thats relatively cheap for a quality international striker. This is especially true if other articles are true that he was being monitored by spurs, Man U etc and that he apparently had an €18m release clause so that would have been minimum they would have expected if they weren''t in financial trouble. The fact we have done deal now so they can pay wages suggests McNally has been typically ruthless to secure the best deal for ncfc.
24. Know its wrong but i see it as good news, cant be injured this game and banned for next. V selfish but he is so important to us we need him fit for rest of season
25. Would presume if it is sorted now and we pay £3m up front the club will also take out an insurance policy in case anyhting happens before the summer
