2.
Here you are: Feb 23 away to Barcelona, Champions League Feb 27 against Liverpool, Carling Cup Final Mar 5 late kick off, away to us Mar 8 home to Barcelona, Champions League I would say...
Somebody else, like Shropshire Canary in another post, who thinks Chelsea were playing tonight Glad to see this board is populated with so many people who know about football.
 3.
What was that all about? On TV yesterday we see our beloved Delia giving our football players families the low down on how important it is for our team players to stick to the correct diet when they ...
We''ll be getting bloody Jamie Oliver as Manager next
 4.
First things first. I AM NOT A BINNERS FAN!! Does anyone know what the title and artist of Ipswich''s goal music, because I want to put that with some top of the league at portman road mp3 to it. Plea...
After tonight they''re going to change it to a re-worked version of an Elton John number - "Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting but Tuesday Night there wasn''t a Watford Gap"
 5.
I''m sure we''ll all be looking for this result more than the Champions League ones tonight (although a narrow defeat/draw for chelsea wouldn''t go amiss). What do we want the result to be? A draw is o...
Shropshire Canary It was 0-0 How did Chelsea get on then ? Can''t seem to find the result anywhere - are you in a different time zone up there ?
 6.
IWAN AND MALKY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE PREMERSHIP IWAN AND MALKY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE PREMERSHIP IWAN AND MALKY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE PREMERSHIP IWAN AND MALKY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH ...
George Bush isn''t good enough to be The President of the United States, but he is. God bless America ! (and Malky & Ewan) Oh, and Norridge
 7. With the recent spate of coin throwing incidents, can someone explain how they always seem to hit the intended target. As a bit of an experienced and reasonably accurate chucker myself (darts, cricket ball, stones in the sea etc, I hasten to add) I know how difficult it is to hit an intended target. Given that the flight of a coin is much more difficult to predict than any of the aforementioned objects, and given the added degree of difficulty of throwing from the midst of a crowd of people, it strikes me (no pun intended) that either 1. These chuckers (yes, I could have used another similar word) are dead eye dicks who should be putting their skills to better use, or - 2. In addition to the ones that hit, there must be a lot of coins thrown that miss the target and are never seen or reported. Probably collected by the groundsmen who think they are tips - Everton groundsmen please note, this does not apply to you, or - 3. There''s a whole lotta fakin going on PS - last word on Malky Where Are You (seeing as I started it) - I only asked the question "where are you". I didn''t actually say that say we should have kept him. I did notice that he scored on Saturday though and W Ham won again tonight - Mmmmmmm, maybe it''s not the last word, maybe Malky will be in the Premiership next season.
 8.
I think with the Green and Ashton topics we have now managed to criticise every player in the squad. Some players before they even pulled on a shirt! I feel proud to be a City fan today! How fickle...
So what''s the point of having a discussion board at all if everyone is required to have the same view and only see things through rose tinted spectacles ?
 9.
Oh for christ sake!! How long are we going to have this debate? Whenever the defence has a bad day, Malky''s name gets mentioned. Greeno had a bad game today, how about we give Gunny a go in goal?? ...
For a while yet, I think Whilst I can see where you''re coming from DDIM, I''d like to throw the following FACTS into the debate - 1. Height - would Dickov have scored that goal yesterday ? Would we have conceeded as many goals from set pieces all season long ? 2. Organisation - who in the present team has taken over the job of actually organising the defence ? 3. Motivation - who in the present team has taken over the job of actually motivating the defence ? 4. Quality - Of our current collection of defenders, which players are actually better ? Painfully slow and not good enough ? Current defence - proven  Malky - not proven
 10.
Why do certain people seem to be obsessed with this disciplinary thing and getting into Europe. Our main concerns far outweigh getting into Europe and getting absolutely hammered in the first round t...
I agree - quite honestly i couldn''t give a fig about the discipline league I''m more interested in the only league that matters So what if we qualify for europe via the back door, who cares Qualification for anything should be awarded on ability only, not because you''re nice Pity we haven''t kicked a for more teams if it means getting points
 11. That''s assuming of course that someone still wants to buy him after recent performances. Maybe we should have got rid when we had the chance rather than see his reputation and value drop week after week
 12.
This is the discipline page on soccernet - we''re top, and that''s about the only positive thing I can say today... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/fairplay?league=ENG.1&cc=5739
quite honestly i couldn''t give a fig about the discipline league i''m more interested in the only league that matters so what if we qualify for europe via the back door qualification for anything should be awarded on ability only, not because you''re nice pity we haven''t kicked a for more teams if it means getting points
 13.
1-0 down already. So if we are going to do anything its from behind ...again......
i don''t know about you, but that''s the way i prefer it !!
 14.
Good post Making Plans. Lets just hope that all goes to plan and the other teams dont suddently hit majestic form. Must admit am a bit concerned to the way we were virtually outplayed yesterday and...
Thanks NavMan Agree to some extent with your comments but not about WBA - if they can''t beat Palace with 10 men for most of the game and us, when we didn''t play well, then I feel there is no hope of them making any sort of recovery - I think in their last 2 games they''ve blown any chance they had of escaping With regards Man U & Chelsea - both these are at home so they might be possible chances
 15. In the last few weeks, even allowing for the desperation felt after the Villa game, my confidence has grown that we will survive. Here''s my view of the situation. Please note that I have only considered things from a Norwich point of view and have ignored what other teams might or might not do as at this stage I think that is irrelevant. Goals - we are now scoring goals - 7 in the last 3 matches and even though we drew a blank at Everton we could have had 3 or 4. Furthermore, Dean Ashton is yet to get into gear, give him a couple more games and he will start performing to his true potential. Team Spirit - the last 3 games have highlighted the fact that we have a fantastic team spirit and this is getting stronger every week - we don''t give up impossible situations, everyone pulls together and we are fighting for everything. Luck - at last our luck is turning. Right from the start of the season we have not had our fair share of good fortune. Even going back to the Man U game, we hit the bar, the ball came out, they hit the bar, the ball went in. There have been numerous instances all season long - dodgy corner given to Spurs resulting in a goal, etc etc. I''m sure I don''t need to expand on this. Hucks - despite a recent lack of goals and a few missed sitters, Hucks remains our most important player. He is involved in almost every goal we score and in most of the chances we miss. The statistics shows he''s the most fouled player in the Premiership and this clearly demonstrates his class and how he worries the opposition. Remaining Games - of the 12 games left, we play only 5 against teams in the top 8. Of these, 3 are at home. The remaining 7 games are against opposition that are hardly much better than us - even Newcastle & Man City are not what you would call unbeatable. If you include Fulham, Blackburn and Birmingham as still being relegation candidates, and after yesterday I do, then 5 of the last 12 games are against teams in the bottom seven "mini league". Francis - undoubtably another key man who has the knack of scoring vital goals - he is only one behind the likes of Drogba, Ljunberg and Scholes in the leading goalscorers table. Greeno - we might have the worst defensive record in the league but it would be a lot worse if we didn''t have Greeno. Supporters - even allowing for those that have to leave early to "miss the traffic" - try the M25 every morning & night like I do and you might see how pathetic this "excuse" is - we are the best supporters in the league and we have a vital part to play. Problem Areas - so we still have a few problems to sort out - the defence, set pieces, away form. However, I don''t see these as being unsurmountable issues. After all, we''ve lived with these deficiencies all season long and we''re still in there fighting. A slight improvement in any of these areas would useful though and if achieved, would I believe ensure that our Premiership status is retained.
 16.
No way! BOREham just rambles on and on and on without letting Mr Adams get a word in edgeways. Waller and Adams are a good team, Waller talks rubbish and Neil''s always there to put him right. Whereas ...
agreed
 17. ok, i know we won (YES!) but to me, even though i was listening to the wba version which might have been slightly bias, we were lucky still about time we had a bit of luck maybe we''ll get a penalty next week
