Lose badly to Leeds, and he’s gone. Some of the away performances this season have been a shambles.

This is an utter disgrace! If we were going to play like this, then they should let everyone know in advance or let the fans in for free… as this isn’t a correct attitude for competitive sport. I’m embarrassed.

It really is, isn’t it? I’m glad I couldn’t go to this one, as the body language of our players is so lacklustre and casual. I feel for our fans who travelled there. If we should somehow go up, then the manager needs to spend this summer at the School of Tactics & Motivational Skills… or be replaced. Our approach away from home is just wrong. And if it doesn’t change in the second half, we’ll have to play Leeds. Not great.

I’m hoping West Brom drop points and we finish 5th (which sadly looks unlikely, against Shef Wed and Preston). We’ll happily take Southampton home and away, then look forward to the Binners having another mental collapse against us, at Wembley.

If we win today, we should hopefully keep 5th place until the end of the season. Will certainly help, not playing the team who finishes 3rd. I’m still hoping for a Wembley final against that other team down the road.

Why are we so cr** away from home, yet so solid at home?! Feels like the 2001-2002 season again. It has to be the manager’s tactics and motivational skills.

We did the classic thing teams do when they’re in awe or fear the other team… gave them far too much respect, changed how played and sat behind the ball hoping to contain and hit them on the break. Alas, it didn’t work. So, we move on. As for the Binners, they’re pretty much doing what we did under Lambert. They’ve found a system, are full of confidence and are playing well as a team. Sometimes it’s not all about star players, but an effective method that everyone plays to. Also, the Top of League 1 is not that far away in quality from that of mid-Championship level. So, if you have good momentum, you can make a good run the following season. This is very different comparing the jump to the Prem, as we know all too well. Hoping to extend that record to 14 games and 15 years, on Saturday.

Did I miss something? Hasn’t lost a game all season and gets sacked, now? What on earth is going on there? It seems Mr Knapper was quicker to act here, than in other business. Seems rather sad for Martin Herdman, anyhow.

Roeder was horrible. Person, manager and fit. If anything exemplified Doomcaster as a Chief Exec, it was this appointment. Hughton was a vacuum. He sucked any joy out the game and you feared going behind in any away game… as it tended to end up with us 3, 4 or 5+ down. A total waste of a talented team and way of playing, which he managed to inevitably destroy and get us relegated. The non-managers… Grant, Hamilton, Adams, Gunn. None of them were cut out for management and were bizarre decisions by the owners (to add to the list). Smith. Although half-decent at Villa, it was a panic appointment by a desperate Sporting Director. Somehow he was our “number 1 target” even before he was sacked. The lie was almost as bad as the fit with our club. Dire.

Can’t really take over Trafalgar with 20 fans and a bin lorry, though.

As amusing as that would be, it’ll be an absolute nightmare for getting there. Both teams going via Liverpool Street and on the Met Line. Logistical nightmare for the police. But let’s be realistic… they’ll never get to the final.

It will mean more friendlies abroad… as then, less fans will understand the other. Lowers the offence risk ratio.

Ben the kNapper, wake up and do your damn job! This is woeful. And if it wasn’t for a single piece of brilliance and Hull being dire, we’d be in trouble.

We truly look terrible. Other than Rowe’s individual piece of brilliance, we haven’t looked like threatening their half at all… let alone, their goal. it’s embarrassing, to be honest.

Literally, the only piece of quality all game. Jonathan Rowe, you are him. …And I dread where we’d be without him.

Probably not used to seeing a shot hit the target.

Don’t worry, it’s not usually like this. We usually have an attacking free-flowing style (if the manager is right and the Sporting Director isn’t a toxic, narcissistic charlatan). You’ve joined us as a fan at one of our low points… things can only get better! OTBC 🟡🟢

The amount of empty seats, although not surprising, is painfully sad to see.

I’m hoping we start trying Fisher, Warner and Hanley (once he’s up to speed). Thankfully, I very much doubt Wagner makes it past Monday.

Why is our defensive line so high?! We’re being undone by long balls and counters. A total flipping disaster.

Never say ‘never’! The prime example being Neil Doomcaster. He spearheaded the worst ever years of our club’s history… but resulted in him becoming chief of the SPL.

It sounds like a sort of ‘gardening leave’ to me. I’m guessing the club are trying to negotiate an amicable termination, rather than a forced one – which then triggers the need for termination pay (which we don’t have). But what a total mess and a catalogue of bad decisions and appointments. Good luck, Ben Knapper. If you’ve got what it takes, then this certainly is the environment to test it!

It was a good game tonight – very close in most parts, regardless of the possession stat. I sat with my mate who’s a Fulham fan, who was impressed at how we played the ball around. Our fans made it a great atmosphere (even over from the far side). Some of my thoughts: • Hwang’s miss in the first half was shockingly poor. At least hit the target! • Placheta caused a lot of problems for Fulham, so I was surprised he was subbed off. • Fisher had a great game. Solid, composed and had Willian in his pocket. • McCallum, on the other hand, just isn’t good enough and let far too many crosses and through runs passed him. • What a signing Sainz looks! Must start the next game. All in all, a good performance… especially following Saturday’s disaster.
