1. Are you Gordon? I don''t mind if you are, in fact I''d be quite happy.
 2. Out of interest how did your interest in Lindum Colonia start, Camul? I grew up in Lincoln and used to go to Sincil Bank regularly back in the late 80s / early 90s (remember we had a pacy winger from Nottingham, wonder what happened to him?) We lived on the hill and when I didn''t go to a match I could see half of the pitch from our house using my dad''s telescope! In fact I remember doing this and listening to Radio Lincs the day the Imps regained their football league status after being the first team to be relegated to the Conference! I still go at Christmas but now live near Norwich and have supported the Canaries since 2002. I think Huckerby might be stalking me as he lives just down the road from here! (At least he''s apparently going to California now - but perhaps that''s because he thinks it''s near Yarmouth!)
 3. Perhaps it''s all a double bluff, they just don''t want all their transfer prices inflated. Maybe after we sign Ameobi for a cut price deal they''ll reveal they had millions all along - and build another restaurant!
 4.

Absolutely disgraceful, totally shocking.  I came on here this morning with my usual optimism ensuring I was expecting something exciting and interesting.  A raft of new signings, or that a deal had been struck, or even that someone else had beaten Cullum to it.  And this is what I find.  Delia has thrown the proverbial toys out of the pram once and for all and has decided that Cullum''s £20m for players isn''t in the best interest of the club or its shareholders.  Absolute bullsh*t.  How can it not be?  Unless Cullum was wanting to start up an arms dealership within the club, there''s no way this money wasn''t going to be a good thing for the club.  It was our chance, our lifeline, to ensure we don''t suffer another season of humiliation and abject performances. I still have faith in Roeder, but - like many of us - my faith in the board was already hanging by a shoe-string.  Now it is positively destroyed.  Delia''s position is now untenable.  There will be protests, and this time not only Smudger will arrive.  25000 people will be chanting for her to step down and Carrow Road will not be a fun place to visit for a while.  I''m actually considering not taking my girls to their first game on 2nd August anymore, because even though its a friendly I don''t really want them to be subjected to the vitriol and - no doubt - language that will be launched in Delia''s direction.   And that''s just from me... So what do we hope for now?  Well, firstly we have to hope that Roeder doesn''t see this as the sign of inambition that we now do and doesn''t walk.  I don''t think he will, he''s too strong a character for that and will see the job through.  Secondly, we have to hope that his "budget" is enough for us to compete and that he still has enough to bring in the quality signings we need to push for the play-offs, which are now our only hope.  Thirdly, and most importantly, Cullum should listen to what the fans want and push through a hostile takeover.  He''ll already have the backing of one-third of the shareholders and my understanding is that if he were to buy all the supporter shares then he will have his foot in the door enough to force the board to sell up.  These three options seem to be the only hope now. Unless, of course, the Turners have done something bloody spectacular........
now the board have shown there hand....they must invest in the squad(££££££s) or there will be total uproar at carrow road...25000+ chanting 4 their heads...and rightly so
Agreed, the only way for Delia and co to avoid a backlash is to make funds available and sign some decent strikers and a centre back now! The ball''s now in their court to show they can take the club forward not backwards.
 5.
No secret spy, just another site reporting a loan signing Friday. Initials JC. Name 4 and 4 letters Surname "Cork" mean anything to anyone.
What site is reporting this?
 6.
Another rumour will be started first thing Thursday morning, this rumour will cause some people to react in an angry fashion and some to react in a positive fashion. The rumour will be replaced with another rumour Friday morning and the endless cycle of rumours will continue, this is not 100% positively going to happen, it''s just a rumour i heard. Phatcanary, slightly inebriated, Norwich.
My neighbour''s gardener''s best friend''s dog heard exactly the same thing today, while pushing a trolley down the pet food aisle at asda. Oh yes, and don''t forget to set your alarm clocks as this will be exclusively revealed in tomorrow''s EDP in an interview with esteemed journalist ''the invisible canary''.
 7.
So I''ve got Wednesday''s EDP, I''ve read it. What page is the massive story on, please?
I''m sure that, as Gordon would say, predicting which day something will appear in the EDP isn''t an ''exact science''.
 8.
Dont get me wrong, Im not against investment of any nature, and i certainly have seen the decline of the club. My only point is, Cullum hasnt really done anything other than say he will give us loads of money, and he appears to have become the saviour. In previous years the current board have supported us in getting players like Huckerby, Marshall, Earnshaw, Ashton etc to come here and do a damn good job for the club, so why do you think they cant continue to do so? Granted we need more strengthening than 1 or 2 players but we''re coming off the back of 2 terrible years, so a climb back up will always take time. I just dont honestly believe that snapping up Mr Cullums money without a second thought is the greastest option going, Id much rather he came out with a bigger picture than a one dimensional ''Here''s loadsa money'' line.
The point is that without serious investment we''ll struggle to do better than the bottom half of the championship, which means we lose more matches than we win, (which makes everyone miserable and destabilises the club), and even flirt with the prospect of relegation to League One. As more and more Championship clubs are snapped up by rich investors, we risk falling down the pecking order further and further each season. Cullum''s money now in Roeder''s hands ought to make us serious promotion contenders, or at least a decent championship side that regularly makes a top ten finish, winning more games than it loses. I know which I''d rather see. The players you mention have been few and far between, not enough team building has been going on. Despite Marshall being heroic he can''t singlehandedly change our fortunes, Huckerby maybe did in our promotion year but the signings of Ashton and Earnshaw never amounted to much in terms of League position or success.
 9.

So then Ah Newton Mink or should I say ‘Man in the know’ that’s a bit Den Brown for the Pink Un on a wet Monday in July.  Now what about the rest of your posts Mr. Man In The Know I particularly like From whence they look when we make a noise, it gives us the chance to steal their toys  I’ll pick up on the first part of the sentence first, From whence they look when we make a noise, where whence I suspect means from what place? And we suggests a collective, namely us the supporters.  So put that bit together and it starts to add up to the place the supporters look at when there is something going on, namely the EDP and the Pink Un. The second part it gives us the chance to steal their toys suggests perhaps of some sort of diversionary tactic, namely the events of last Monday, the toy being Peter Cullum’s money.  So there you have it, Delia has used the events of last Monday to create a massive diversionary tactic and will shortly be announcing plans of her own to re-finance the club  TA DA Mr Mink
Well now then Bury Green, you are, I''m afraid a million miles away with your interpretation.  It will all filter out sooner or later, just like todays announcment.  I come in peace and I am not about to go anywhere yet. I know not of a ''Man in the know'', Newton''s the name, that''s all you need know[;)]
This may well prove once the news comes out, to be a reason to sing and shout. For we now all like Cullum, for that is true, he''s offered us millions, though before we never knew, who he was, or whether to support him, but now thanks to spin and some clever reporting, if Delia can agree to meet him halfway then she''ll be a hero again, hooray. So at the risk of sounding like a stupid old crunt, this must be an elaborate PR STUNT!
 10. Thought this would be another ''torn'' or ''ripped'' newspaper gag. Although maybe the news is that Carrow Road is ''breaking'' and someone with 1.7 billion needs to fix it!
 11.

YELLA FOREVER - are you a bad player if you are in a team who is relegated? so much for ashton green defoe carrick cole james they must be terrible additions if we were prem sides
Ok, come back and tell me what you think of Aaron McLean in 6 months....!! oh and stearman for that fact...!! because i also have a leicester fan in my football team and he says last season he just was not good enough!!!  5 million on these two
Do you think we8wba might get the picture if you post it 8 times?  A good tactic.
 12. This is the one thing that doesn''t add up with what Cullum''s been saying. He claims he expects nothing other than an ''emotional'' return on his investment - in which case why not just give us some money, be a folk hero, and leave the current set up in place? The fact he wants to take control and put in the money that may just get us back to the prem suggests in fact he wants  a financial return on his investment, as well as an emotional one. Don''t think however that I support this current board - I would rather see Cullum take over any day, it just seems we might have reached stalemate with neither side budging. I can''t see Cullum the ''deal maker'' pay anywhere near the price they''re entitled to ask for the club, although he could afford it - so go on Peter, splash out!  It''s only about 3% of your estimated wealth to buy the club - the equivalent of me nipping down Tesco''s and buying a can of value beans!
 13.
here''s my song i just mayed up.     Because obviously , he is in our team week in, week out without a doubt oh and its wesley Hooooolihan oh oh oh wesleeey hoooooolihan             what do you lot think
Can you fit in the word ''caravan'' anywhere?  It rhymes with Hoolahan.
 14.

Clinton seen in Morrisons?
Surely not!? He must have signed then!
Morrison seen in Clintons? A move must be on the cards.
 15.
My next door neighbour works in Yellows.  Today, in there he saw Andy Cole having a meal with Lee Clark.  Not the best place I could imagine for food, especially on the money they are on, and also as a place to wine and dine a possible target, but they were at least close enough for Clark to then take Cole on a stadium tour. Cole has been mentioned on here and in the papers before, but this time it seems a definate possibilty now.  I wouldn''t be surprised if he signs for us in the next few days, or at least has a medical.  I wonedr what sort of wages he is on nowadays?
Burnley could afford his wages, we have Dion off the wage bill now, (as well as Hucks obviously).  I''m sure something could be arranged wage wise similar to what Dion was on. I think he will prove to be a great signing - he won''t have lost his instinct for where the net is and I''m sure we''ll get another Prem wonderkid striker on loan too.
 16. Yes I agree, I think that this is a lot of speculation. GNG has said certain things which seem definite fact as if he has some inside knowledge, but also a lot of things that suggest he is no more than guessing. So even if he does have inside info, there''s still a certain amount of speculation going on because you inevitably start putting 2 and 2 together. It''s all good fun!
 17. I''m disappointed, he would have been much more likely to get a game with us. I think his judgment has been clouded not just by the size of the club but by the romance of going to Celtic (I guess they''re huge in Londonderry). Hucks less likely to go to Celtic if they keep signing wingers - I keep seeing his 4 x 4 anyway so he''s still here!
 18. I think the phrase ''broke the bank'' is just sour grapes from the poster/author, a forest fan, who doesn''t like the idea that we were able to offer Clingan more money (they like to think they are a club at least as big as us)! Glenn would probably have been prepared to pay up to 200k or more in a transfer fee for Clingan anyway so he can use that money to pay his wages for a year. We have to remember that the board guaranteed Roeder they would back him in the transfer market this summer. So no, it hasn''t broken the bank, but it''s proof of the clever ''we''re skint'' spin coming out of Carrow Road, in that everyone seems to believe it, even though money is obviously available.
 19. Doesn''t Camuldonum cover East Anglia for the Daily Star? Do you have any more info about Carroll, my fellow Roman town?
 20.
Plymouth Away A home draw would amaze me almost as much as being at home on the last day of the season, playing Ipswich on A Saturday, or signing a player for more than £500k.
Isn''t 800k our usual maximum? You''re right though you can guarantee we''ll be away 1st/last day of the season. What a surprise we draw an up and coming lower league team in the cup - MK Dons away, again! Wasn''t it 119 minutes of 0 - 0 before Leon scored last time? I''d get your bets on MK Dons now! First game of the season - QPR away most probably!
 21. Not sure about Hales'' value but on the subject of whether or not we''re re-signing Ched grave doubts have been raised near Loddon.
 22. I have heard that Roeder is considering Hales, Sutton, and Southgate........ as potential villages to visit in Norfolk. Hope we get some signings in soon, or we''ll be up South Creake without a paddle!
