1.
Just signed for them apparently
Yep... http://www.shrewsburytown.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10443~1968621,00.html?
 2. Had a quiet lunchtime so thought I''d do a bit of research. In the last ten seasons the top three sides in League One (and it''s previous iterations) have finished with the following number of points: -----------------------Points Year-----1st---2nd--3rd 99-00 -- 91 -- 88 -- 85 00-01 -- 93 -- 84 -- 83 01-02 -- 90 -- 84 -- 83 02-03 - 100 - 86 -- 83 03-04 -- 90 -- 83 -- 82 04-05 -- 98 -- 86 -- 79 05-06 -- 82 -- 79 -- 76 06-07 -- 91 -- 85 -- 83 07-08 -- 92 -- 82 -- 80 08-09 -- 96 -- 89 -- 87 Which gives on average: ------Points 1st-----2nd----3rd 92.3 - 85.3 - 82.4 Given that we currently have 66 points from 31 games, we have 15 games left to score: 27 points to exceed an average 1st place finish - 1.80ppg 20 points for an average 2nd place finish - 1.33ppg and 17 points or more to exceed an average 3rd place finish - 1.13ppg The highest number of points required in the last ten years to acheive a top two finish is 89, so 24 points to exceed that would be 1.6ppg. Basically, we''re going up cos 8 of our last 15 games are against lower-half teams so that could equate 24 points there and then. Easy.
 3.

I agree GJL... McNamee in for Lappikn every time for me... [Y]
Would that be the same Lappin that heroically cleared a certain goal off the line?[;)]
Yes it certainly would... [Y] What else did Lappin manage to do in todays game???
I believe he set up the winner?
 4.

The only way he could is to just hang around Linekar-like on the 6 yard line! His pace would let him down up front as it does at the back otherwise! I''m still backing him to score mind you tomorrow night.
Interesting. I wouldn''t put him there, his best position is centre half so why compromise two positions. We had enough of that with Peter Grant continually playing Dublin at centre back and then sticking him up front after we went 0-2 down. I have no doubt he could do a job mind. But am I the only one who thinks The Doc has more pace than Grant Holt?
Doc is one of our quicker players... I think it''s because of his slight folical inadequacy that people think he''s slow.I remember him outpacing Sylvan Ebanks-Blake last season, and he''s no slouch.

 6. He was just about standing when I saw him, Luke Daley and Chris Martin in the Olive Tree at 4am last night.
 7. Lappin was immense today. The number of times he broke up the Oldham play was ridiculous, but he still gets a lower rating than everyone else? Shocking...Simon Lappin King of Spain...
 8.

What about... Tudur Jones my Lord, Tudur Jones Tudur Jones my Lord, Tudur Jones Tudur Jones my Lord, Tudur Jones Oh Lord Tudur Jones To the theme of ''Kumbaya'' - bit obvious but could be good I guess.
Could work well!
But instead of "Oh Lord" surely it has to be "Owain"?
 9. Holt your horses... Don''t take this for Granted.
 10. Rumour has it that he''s signed... Not sure that he''ll be announced today though (Pete?)
 11.
because if he doesn''t and signs, I fear this will be a real kop-out for Gunn. You can sign whoever you like but at the end of the day it''s how many goals you score that will determine how succesful a season will be - and invariably strikers cost the most money. Should we really settle for someone we stumbled upon in pre-season and scored a couple of goals against two Scottish teams.   I''d rather have a proven goalscorer in English football.
Recommended by Dejan apparently. And as for scoring goals, that''s basically what Maric has been doing since he''s been part of our squad.
 12. http://www.thisiscroydontoday.co.uk/latestsport/Breaking-news-Palace-accept-defender-offer/article-1186945-detail/article.html Would appear that the reports on Sky Sports earlier were spot on. Looking likely now that Wiggins and Whaley will be Norwich players in the near future.
 13.

Maybe the press conference has been delayed until the morning so that Gunn/Crook can have one last look at McVeigh before offereing him a contract?
Not a bad theory Holt, Hughes, Maric, Wiggins, Whaley, McVeigh Sextuple signing tommorow :D
Don''t forget Askou... Septuple!
 14. It was Claridge: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2009/feb/17/steve-claridge-albert-adomah-scouting-report Does sound like a very decent signing. If we could get him and Whaley that would give us strength in depth on the right side of midfield...
 15.
Foulger said all the rebate money plus what he matched would go into the transfer kitty. Not wages, signing on fees etc, the trnasfer kitty. We shall see..........
No offence, but which part of making a transfer doesn''t involve paying a player''s wages/signing on fee?
 16.
Has ColneySpy been right in the past?
He definitely goes down to Colney regularly, whether that means it is possible for him to know about iminent signings I don''t know... He has mentioned that we have a GK training with us, but he doesn''t recognise him... Could be that Theoklitos chap, possibly?
 17. Thanks Pete. Will you keep us in the loop if / as soon as you hear anything please? ;)
 18. Colneyspy (from Twitter) seems to think that there will be a "new signing soon... watch this space" Are the web team aware of any iminent announcements from the club?
 19.
sitting in the crowd yesterday i was absolutely amazed at what went on!! why the hell was McKenzie treated like a God? to sing songs for an opposition player was ludicrous and thought it would haunt the fans and sure enough he popped up and scored. he was my favourite player whilst here but hes moved on like Hux etc so as people say MOVE ON!!! i hope the fans who cheered him and sang about him are happy singing for an opposition player!!!
Most people I heard were singing:"McKenzie, Ohhh, McKenzie, Ohhh... He scored against the sc*m, that''s all he''s ever done..."
 20.
Glenn has signed some very, very good players. SuperWes took the piss out of our team at Carra Rd last season. When did an opponent last do this before signing for us subsequently? This is not a rhetorical question. My memory is not great. Please help me out on this one.
Probably Huckerby when he tore us to shreds playing for Forest in 2003, they beat us 4-0 and he scored. Brennan even put one past us that day!
 21.
Last season Glenn mentioned that we won''t recognise the squad by the time he''s finished his overhaul. I wonder how many from last season will be his first choice for the opening Championship game at Coventry
Marshall, perhaps Semi, one of Drury/Bertrand, one of Fozzy/Russell, perhaps Cureton until another striker comes in.Quite amazing really.
