1. *waits for the self appointed forum police to jump on SC for starting a thread very similar to a number of others*
 2.
I don''t see why people are so obsessed about getting a right back. Spillane played very well there for Luton last year and I think with the options we have in midfield is the ideal candidate to make that position his own.
I wanted to quickly add, IMO I''d like to see another striker.

 4.
Gunn quoted as saying the Holt deal was funded by the rebate money and Foulger, and that all other signings were covered by the previously agreed transfer budget for the season. So as far as I can tell, that means the Clingan money should result in an all new transfer fitty, not to mention Russell''s expected sale. I wonder whether we will see any further spending, or if we will now bank the money.
With the exception of another striker, I think we''re largely good to go. I think it''s important that the money is given to Gunn to spend, but I personally would hope he keeps it banked for January.
 5. I would be surprised if Gunn isn''t asked about it after tomorrow''s game.
 6. Smudger is Smudger. He will never give any Norwich City team a fair chance to prove themselves and will jump to as hasty a conclusion as those he berates. He is a hypocrite of the highest order.
 7. It''s little wonder people like Wizard love it here when his attention seeking, unsubtantiated drivel is given 4 pages of replies.
 8.
You''re going to hinder Hoolahan''s performance if you play him at LM
Totally disagree. I think Hoolahan played very well on the left under Gunn last season, provided he was given the right to drift when he wanted to.
 9.
Still a distinct lack of pace in that squad, especially down the left. No pace, no goals. Suggestion - Albert Adomah.
Totally disagree with that. I don''t think that pace is the key ingredient for goals, I think creativity and an ability to take chances. Both Holt and Maric have excellent records, and Hoolahan, Whaley and Hughes will give us the creativity.
 10.

i''ll give 50/1
I''ll have a tenner please.
Although can we do it "under the table", Cardinals aren''t supposed to bet.

 12. Title says it all to be honest. Those signings will give us adequate depth in all positions GK. Theo, Rudd DR. Spillane, Semi DL Wiggins, Drury DC. Nelson, Doc, Stefanovic MR. Whaley, Smith, ML. Hoolahan, Lappin MC. Gill, Tudur Jones, Hughes, Pattison, Adeyemi ST. Holt, Maric, Cureton, Martin, Cody Arguably you could have another center back (Askou?) but I think that''s a great looking squad for this league. Good mix of youth and experience with plenty of options. For me, my first eleven would be: Theo Spillane  Doc  Nelson  Wiggins Whaley  Gill   Hughes   Hoolahan Holt      Maric I think that''s as good a first eleven as any in this division.
 13. I think you''ll find it isn''t actually Semi, for crying out loud.
 14.
The latest rumour is Derby County.
Can''t see that myself. Nigel Clough has said on a number of occasions he''s happy with the strikers he has.
 15. Not exactly over awed by the signing either, but I suppose he offers depth to the squad and won''t exactly be on extortionate wages.
 16.
Sorry, if I gave that out 1. I would probably be banned and 2. Bryan would probably not take too kindly to me giving it out.   I will pass the odd message on though
Then why set yourself up by answering the question? Some people!
 17.
Isn''t a right back more of a priority???
Not for me. Spillane attracted many compliments playing at right back for Luton. I personally think that''s where he should be played next season.
 18. The best thing about us signing Stephen Hughes is that we can resurrect the Andy Hughes song. And if WLY signs as well we might have some imaginative chants back at Carra!
 19. Yep, good luck to the lad. Always knuckled down and worked his socks off as I understood it.
 20. I''m neither positive or negative. How can we judge a squad we''ve not yet seen?
 21.
You guys are doing it again, nowhere official does it say £7k a week - it''s all speculation in the press and this message board -  but off we go berating the Club for this scandalous waste of money!!
Totally right [Y]
 22.

Have a read through this thread. http://www.pinkun.com/cs/forums/1766909/ShowPost.aspx
Not interested is debating the actually player.  I''m asking if 7k a week too much for ANY div 1 player and if it could have disruptive effect on balance of the side.
Yes, but if you read the thread you''ll see countless posts from Camul who clearly says that he''s spoken with Gunn and it''s not £7k a week. It''s clearly the agent trying to drum up the best deal for his client. Is it too much? Yes. Will it upset balance? Well, no - because he''s not on £7k.
Pretty sure i said allow 20% for inflated reporting, but then you can''t have read that yourself Big question is why are we offerign anythign over 2k to anyone when money is so tight?
I did read that. It doesn''t withstand that you are making assumptions regarding any figure. We don''t know what wage Stephen Hughes is being offered, nor anyone else. We knew that in the Championship we had a wage budget of £8mil and while I think that figure will/has been drastically reduced, I would hope that with all the loanees returning, the depatures of Marshall and seemingly impending departures of Clingan and Rusty, there is room to offer these sorts of wages - especially when it concerns a player available on a free transfer. Money is tight, yes that''s very true. But you have to remember that our budgets are still bigger than a great majority of others in this division.
