  1. One thing is certain. At 1 goal down, it was NOT game over. .
  2. I read it twice to make sure before responding but it was clarified by the guy who posted after me. It''s 9:30 am so not too early as I usually wake at 6 on work days. :)
  3. Of course steroid use is common in pro wrestling. Nobody looks like John Cena or Dave Batista just by lifting weights and eating veggies. The WWE drug testing is done with plenty of warning, a wink and a nod, and plenty of second and third chances. Almost all the bad press about steroids is pop culture based pseudo-science. What wrestlers abuse that can cause real problems are pain killers. All that crashing and smashing night after night takes a lot out of you. If you wanna know what makes a great wrestler, watch the South Park episode about it. Hilarious but poignant. .
  4. The hate for Ipswich doesn''t likely affect many current players astthey''ve not been involved in a local derby. Derby is a funny sounding word. .
  5. Does having seventeen syllables make something deeper, more profound? The above query also has 17 syllables, almost one for each goal we''ve scored this season. .
  6. Aston Villa''s preseason campaign now includes a visit to the BBVA to take on the Dynamo. Last time a Norwich legend (Huckerby playing for San Jose) visited, we had our Norwich gear on and he gave my boys a wave when he spotted us during a throw-in. .
  7. There wasn''t much of any British accent, like it had faded significantly. As for those pointing out that it''s scripted, what''s the deal with Santa Claus? Wait, no don''t tell me! I''m covering my ears and singing la la la la la I can''t hear you la la la la
  8. I listened when they said she was from Norwich, but her accent was very mild. How long has she been away from the fine city?
  9. Finally the board read this thread title. Too bad they didn''t act on it months ago. Hopefully, the season is not too far gone for the players to respond positively. .
  10. I hope they are gone, based what I''ve seen on here. They were the ones who tried to force their round hole style around our square peg players. Other than a very few matches vs top teams, it just didn''t work. When it did work in terms of a result, the games were deathly boring. .
  11. It has been an unusually cold winter.
  12. I bow to your viewpoint as you were there. From tv land, and according to the guys calling the game, the Wes sub was about the only one that shouldn''t have been made, and as for us having taken control, we had something like 70% possession and some good opportunities including two framework hits. It''s hard to see if the overall picture seems ineffective from a tv screen, though, so maybe the possession was not as effective in real life as it seemed on tv. Becchio looked like he could have caused some damage if the crosses were a tiny bit lower, but I guess nobody making them has spent much game time with him. What say you to that, KO?
  13. Did you miss the first 20 or so minutes of the second d half? It was like the Cardiff home game except we were getting good shots on target. That''s when he decided to make substitutions? He should have done so at the half or let the game go as it was, but taking out Wes who was creating, and leaving in Tettey and Howson who did much of nothing up to that point was suicide. .
  14. There are few people that are bigger planks. - Seattle Canary ↑↑↑↑ HA HA HA HA! I love that! I''ve said this before; you are wise, Seattle.
  15. The final straw must have been the sabotage-like subs he made yesterday. We finally were taking over the game, getting real scoring opportunities, and he yanks Hoolahan. We never came close again. The subs after that stank of desperatdesperation. .
  16. Anyone who said Hughton is the man until season end and we should keep him for next season when he keeps us up. That''s my guess. The loser mentality of "we should never wish for anything impossible like being comfortably mid-table or better" is sickening. We were poised to achieve that when CH arrived and have gotten steadily worse since then. My God, we have so many clean sheets this season and yet a shockingly bad goal difference. All that means is we are so very inconsistent at best. .
  17. Now we have a chance to get something at Fulham. I imagine many of the players are relieved, and if Adams lets them play the way they can, there is no reason we can''t win there. The yoke has been lifted, a new attitude should permeate the clubhouse and players will respond. Set the team up the right way and watch the goal strikers'' droughts end. .
  18. He didnt want to be here because he hated the Houghton system.
  19. The manager was crap today. The substitutions, especially Hoolahan, killed the momentum and any chance of getting a decent shot. .
  20. They must be unhappy clappers? JohnnyH HAH! ↑↑↑↑ .
  21. No, it was after match violins playing sad sinking-ship type music. .
  22. If our home form is bad and our away form is worse, we are 100% reliant on other teams to falter. Fulham up 1 - 2. .
