Alan sugars programme on prem finance
dylanisabaddog replied to canariesaregods's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City

It was a great watch and quite staggering that 91% of west ham''s income was dished out on players wages! I think an obvious way to control this is to enforce a wage cap, Although as pointed out deciding the mechanics of a wage cap is not easy. Well worth a watch.
NCFC have just announced that all of the Sky money next season will go to the playing budget. Which means we will probably beat the 91%
I honestly cannot see this being true.
Announced by Bowkett at the club dinner last night - reported on Radio Norfolk this morning -

Are we nearly there yet?
No. 9 points will be needed to guarantee 2nd, but 7 will be enough if Cardiff fail to win one of their last 3 games against Preston (A), Middlesbrough (H) and Burnley (A). 6 points will guarantee us 3rd.
Cardiff don''t look good enough to win all 3 to me, based on today''s performance. In fact, how have either of those teams managed to get anywhere near us? -
Someone work it out for me please! I''m still slightly hungover after Thursday night. Will 7 points be enough?

Extract from a report in The Times today - "It was Ipswich''s second thrashing at the hands of their great rivals in the space of five months. Thousands of blue clad fans gawped, horror struck, like replica shirted versions of the subject in Munch''s The Scream". Links to ''The Scream'' are below. Is there anyone out there who has the ability to use Photoshop to put a blue and white scarf or Ipswich shirt on the subject in the picture. If so, post it on here. It would make a great T shirt. http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb452/dylanisabaddog/the-scream.jpg http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jHqLfRrT9e0/TQz-6bDtmkI/AAAAAAAACPI/OPqmhC-A820/s1600/the-scream-edvard-munch.jpg&imgrefurl=http://divine-crazenne.blogspot.com/2010/12/scream-etc.html&h=800&w=618&sz=82&tbnid=AAdbbFkMZShmTM:&tbnh=143&tbnw=110&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dthe%2Bscream%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=the+scream&hl=en&usg=__agFl4thW8BEkoHQZFFtfcK-F5ps=&sa=X&ei=pVaxTbm0C5HA8QPKuvSVDA&sqi=2&ved=0CE0Q9QEwBA

I was watching at Carrow Road. I didn''t think it was a penalty on first viewing but the replay suggested a penalty and red card. Perhaps it was for the best. At least they can''t whinge on and on about how they only lost because they had 10 men..... Overall, the worst refereeing performance I have seen in some time.

If we don't get 2nd, we must get 3rd
dylanisabaddog replied to TheGoogler's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''ve already mentioned this but coming third must be the aim if second is out of reach, mainly because QPR could be ejected from any top six spot because of the impending court case. Obviously, we cannot rely on that outcome but there must be a fair chance that third will get automatic promotion, just as seventh could get a team into the play-offs.
Absolutely no chance. The worst that will happen to them is a transfer embargo -

Ward scored 14 goals in around 100 games for Coventry, most of them penalties. A Coventry fan told me he had never missed......... -

The last time we won a league game by six, 8-1 win at Shrewsbury in Division 3 South. Today saw our biggest win EVER at this level. Correct me if I''m wrong!
Wrong by miles mate. I recall us beating Birmingham 6-0 on a mid week evening sometime in the 60''s. Ricardo never forgets. 69/70 I believe.
I remember it well! It was in April 1970 - Foggo and Silvester scored - I don''t recall the other scorers -
13 points enough for us?
dylanisabaddog replied to whoareyou?'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It''s excellent news that Brendan Rodgers is concerning himself with how few points his team might need to get by. That style of thinking means Swansea are almost certain to come up short. It''s the hurdle race scenario; focus on, and successfully clear each barrier and the finish takes care of itself. Focus on the finish line and you tend to clatter into an obstacle when you least expected to. The phrase ''taking one game at a time'' is SO relevant...
Spot on. Concentrate on the Swansea game and we may lose tomorrow. If we just concentrate on winning the next game we shouldn''t have to worry about the others
