  1.               Marshall Speedy Shackell Murray Drury                 Brellier                       Russel Croft                          Lappin     Strihavka  Nigel Worthington   I refuse to change my original formation, I still think this will work. However I was a bit unsure as to who we should have up front so I went for Dave and the dark horse Nigel Worthington! Any think that could work?
  2. 25k does sound like a rip off... I bet we can buy a whole host of class potted plants for that!
  3. Anyone can beat anyone in a derby, and the way the season looks maybe it''ll be the catalyst?
  4. Well hes injured now so it doesnt matter... however Im very glad that at least some people are warming to him
  5. Cureton scores two and doesnt pass it... I think yeah he should have passed it but the public hairdrier he got was uncalled for. When Huckerby was through against Scunthorpe last night, he went for it. However, if he had looked a bit to the right he would have seen Dion in acres of spaces and it would have been a tap-in. Does Grant dare slag Huckerby off in this situation? Apparently not.
  6. From my lofty position in the Barclay, it looked like Dion, Doc and Murray had plans that they were using. Did anyone else see Dion hiding behind Doherty for one of the first ones? Whatever the case, the corners were low, hard, and aimed for Dions head on the edge of the area to knock back in... however whoever it was that was meant to be getting the filcks was never actually there. BTW Lappin is our only set piece taker aside from Fotheringham maybe, but hes definately not available. however it also seems that Otsemobor has a cracking shot on him too.
  7. Heres a game plan:   Otsemobor             Drury   Croft                   Lappin    Strihavka Cureton   Cureton seems to work best off low crosses so put him farside of Croft and Jon who generally cross more directly, and then have Strihavka (Or another of the big ones I just think Striker is more effective) farside of Lappin and Drury, who Ive noticed put in higher crosses in general. Now thats tactics so wtf cant Grant work this out?
  8. Maybe because Dion has played with them he will know where to play them for their best effect
  9. Has Hucks scored this season? Has Hucks set up any this season? Can Hucks defend? Can Hucks play different positions in order to better the team? No No No No For our situation Lappin is a better option at the moment
  10. So that would be... about the equivalent of 2 full games? In what way do you think you can judge him on that?
  11. Totally agree with everything! The role I play is up front through most of the game, then I go to centre back for the last 20 because I can play both well. Surely this can be the role for Dion?
  12. Hold on just a sec! There was only one man out there deserving of ''worst player'' and that was.... Darren Huckerby! Somebody please highlight what it was he added to the team yesterday? Doesnt anybody else see that for some reason it just isnt working this season? From what I can see Grant is including him so the decision not to include him is not questioned. You''ll be glad we have Lappin (If he doesnt go somewhere better first!) when Huckerby retires because Lappin is an excellent left mid!! Leave Hucks out untill hes actually ready!
  13.               Marshall Otty Spillane Murray Lappin             Brellier             Russel Croft                Ro Jarvis     Strihavka Cureton   Presuming with the injuries as I last heard them (Huckerby Drury Doherty)
  14. If we had got him back when we his first trial ended he would more than likely be fit by now, just when we need a CB. Great plan. Isn''t it.
  15. I have to say that one I hadn''t thought of! Well done, well done indeed!
  16. Martin didnt get picked because he came back unfit and had an attitude about it. BTW Martin is not the Messiah, he is not any better than Striker, Cureton and Huckerby and he was only an emergency last year. It will be amusing to see how you people feel about him when he finally begins to lose his greenhorn luck and becomes Brown Mk.II. Am I the only one that sees this?
  17.                      Marshall Otsemobor Spillane Murray Lappin            Croft  Russel Jarvis         Striker Cureton Huckerby   Thats my one but I think itll actually think the Do''h has to play because thats what Grant thinks Surely he knows we cant win, so there is NO point in trying to spend the game defending. Fact. We really dont have a chance, do we? I was confident when we had players left, even playing Dublin would aggravate the ManC fans due to his United connection. If only...
  18. LOL isnt Bywater doing well... 21 goals in 8 games. Hes well good.
  19. The bottom line is Safri never did the holding job. I never saw Safri playing in the position as Brellier does, and this is because Safri pretty much did what he wanted. The reaso for that is that he scored a good goal against Newcastle and the fans loved him, which just inflated his ego and the idea got into his head that he was an attacking midfielder. Brellier tries to do his job properly where other players are failing (see Luke Chadwick, Brellier had to cover for him all day against Cardiff) and he  is being overwhelmed. If the rest of the team starts performing then he will too.
  20. Exactly, nothing in this league is for certain. We could theoretically be top by Christmas if results fall our way etc so keep the heads up!
  21. As much as I hate myself for it, I cant help but agree with ''its not that bad. Think of Sunderland last season, they were just about buried, and they finished first. In the immortal words of someone I cant remember, "It ain''t over till its over" Everything will come good in the end
  22. I think he''s just getting fed up being with negative team, he had success at Hearts!
  23. Brellier is fine! How do you reckon you would react to playing as a defensive midfielder, a very technical position, in a team lead by a technically deficient manager? Two words: Owen Hargreaves Bet you thought he was crap for England until last World Cup when the manager finally played him in the right place with the right system, and then he was great all of a sudden. He''s a great player, he just needs the right things around him. Just like Earnie didnt score as much because the service wasnt good enough.
