1. I think he knew it was coming (who didn''t?), he''s been talking up the West Ham job, saying he would be interested if he did get the sack.
 2. Own goal, how bad would you feel knowing that your own goal has relegated your team [:(]
 3.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/?from=top_navi Quite a comprehensive site, even though some of the player values are questionable. Have a look at norwich and see what you think if you haven''t already.
Yes... As I mention in one of the posts below.  Every couple of months, someone stumbles across it and starts quoting their figure - often as actual values, rather than the VERY flawed estimates that they are. http://services.pinkun.com/FORUMS/PINKUN/CS/forums/2112590/ShowPost.aspx http://services.pinkun.com/FORUMS/PINKUN/CS/forums/1965398/ShowPost.aspx http://services.pinkun.com/FORUMS/PINKUN/CS/forums/1864359/ShowPost.aspx http://services.pinkun.com/FORUMS/PINKUN/CS/forums/1766791/ShowPost.aspx http://services.pinkun.com/FORUMS/PINKUN/CS/forums/1974987/ShowPost.aspx http://services.pinkun.com/FORUMS/PINKUN/CS/forums/2300299/ShowPost.aspx http://services.pinkun.com/FORUMS/PINKUN/CS/forums/2425927/ShowPost.aspx
 4.
I think that the key point here is that the chairman was quoted as saying that the TV money would be available for the player budget not all additional income so that still leaves additional matchday income, merchandising, sponsorship and any land proceeds to reduce the debt. Spending the TV money on players is therefore fine providing that the contracts are dependent on the division we are playing in.
Exactly - our income last year in League 1 was £17m (from ticket sales, etc as T mentioned), with a player budget of £12m.   I guess with the increased prices and additional seats our income this year is about £20m.  Add to that the additional £40m TV revenue, that is a total income of £60.  This is conservative, as I would expect their to be addition ticket, merchandising, sponsorship revenue.   To provide a £40m player budget (fees & wages) is very realistic, with maybe £10m paying off debts and the rest for other running costs.   My understanding is that he said the whole £40m would be available for the player budget, and he didn''t specify that it was on top of the current budget.
 5.
£10million[:^)]- funny he was worth £15million before the 5-1 derby game[:D]
It was £20m before the 4-1!
 6. It''s also interesting to see that we have more players in the top 10 and top 20 than any other team.  That supports the view that we don''t have superstars, but just a team of good players.    And to those that say QPR is almost a 1 man team, while Norwich have 3 players in the top 10, how many do QPR have...One!!!!  [:#]
 7. I just had a thought about the punishement for QPR.  Instead of a points deduction, could they get a transfer ban, like Chelsea were given for their illegal approach of a youth player - before it was overturned by the court of arbitration for sport
 8. Firstly, as people have mentioned it was just a throw away comment, not serious.   Secondly, if anyone deserves a statue, I would put Geoffrey Wattling at the top of the list.   Thirdly, I love the Fulham fans view on it... http://www.fulham.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=240783  "It`s a fine gesture in our opinion and the only question we have is whether we can swap it with the Michael Jackson one when it`s completed? After all we reckon Delia has probably been to Craven Cottage more times than Jackson ever did!"
 9.
What do you all think about Delia now? Two promotions (and two relegations :P) under her reign as NCFC majority shareholder.
THREE promotions and two relegations!! I always have supported Delia, as I believe that she acts based upon what she thinks is the best interests of the club (even if not all her decisions are right).  In contrast to that, look at the club we played yesterday.  It was only 2 years ago that they were bought by a rich multi-millionaire that promised to put money into the club...
 10.
"It''s almost summer, and so time for all the rumours to start... By simpletons like you
Why does reporting a story regarding our manager make me a simpleton?  I would like to hear your reasoned arguement for that, or have you just decided to pick an insult to try and be a troll?
"Shame this forum gets some good reasoned threads on one of the most exciting times in the clubs history pushed down through twaddle such as op.
It is fantastic that we look at one of the best times in the club''s history.  However, if parts of the media are discussing the possibility of our manager leaving the next few months, why shouldn''t we discuss it on here?  The fact is, there have been a number of other responses and some valid points, so this indicates that not everyone thinks topic this is ''twaddle''. While Moyes hasn''t left and so it is a moot point regarding the Everton job, it does highlight that this is the time people start talking about management changes and we have a big risk that we will lose Lambert - a point worth discussing. In future, if you don''t like a topic, just skip over it rather than throw around a few insults that do not add to the discussion to try and get some attention.

 13.
anyone know the final result of that game? And how they did in the 2nd half?
2-1
 14.
The only problem is - if they do decide a points deduction, but one of which will ensure they still get promoted, it surely has to make sense in a points deduction for each game
That would be the case if they were charged with fielding an inelligable player, but they are not.  They are charged with failing to notify the FA of the 3rd party deal.  This means that the FA can put whatever points deduction they want, and it doesn''t have to be per game.
 15.
1. Faurlin has never been deemed as Ineligible by the FA. When we Signed him there was no rule by the Football league (only a Premier League rule) regarding third party ownership. When the third party rules came in QPR alerted the FA regarding the Faurlin transfer and were at no stage told that he was not allowed to play.
The problem is that the football league did not have the rules, but they were covered by the FA rules. That is why the football league referred the issue to the FA, and the FA have charged QPR regarding "alleged existence of an agreement between the Club and a third party in respect of the player’s economic rights, and the alleged failure by the Club to notify The FA of that agreement before the player was registered to play in England in July 2009." This has nothing to do with PL rules, it is to do with the breach of FA rules - which has a points penalty.
6. The only problem we may have is if the FA can prove that we delibrately mislead them. Although this seems to be more of a personal charge against our chairman. How difficult it is to prove something like this I dont know.
The allegation is that the club put "false information" in "documents submitted to the FA".  It is not that someone said something false, so they can check the facts that are on the document.
Hope that clears things up. Obviously no one knows for certain what the FA will do as they are rather unpredictable but personally I cant see how we can be docked enough points to miss out on Promotion, it would be a logistical nightmare for the FA. Imagine if we were docked 20-30 points and missed out on promotion we would have 28 days to appeal and if necessary drag this through the courts what would happen with the play offs and fixtures for next season.
I believe they have decided the date of the hearing so that they can see how many point deduction they can apply without preventing QPR getting promoted.  That way other clubs can''t complain that they didn''t get a deduction, and QPR won''t take legal action, if they don''t get promorted, to either reverse the decision or get signifcant compensation if it goes on too long that they can''t put QPR in the PL.
 16. "This time next Saturday.....All the talk will be about us getting second place again after smashing the Canaries" Does this mean they will be getting more than 3 points for the win?
 17. He should speak to Gunn about losing games by 6 goals... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/9439056.stm
 18. This has to be one of the best lines in any article... "Forster’s disappointment at not returning [to Norwich] has been compensated for by playing for Celtic, who are still on course for a Scottish league and cup double" Well, I suppose it is a close second choice!
 19.
West ham didn''t get points taken did they? So what makes this time different?
They changed the rules & punishment after the West Ham incident
 20.
Earnie for me was never prolofic for me.
So 27 goals in 47 games for Norwich is not "prolofic"? When he was at Norwich, the only other PL player who had a better goals per minute played rate was Henry!!
 21. http://www.thescratchingshed.com/2011/02/mr-chairman-got-love-for-the-norwich-city-folk/   Ahead of Norwich City’s visit to Elland Road this Saturday, Ken Bates has come over all mutually respectful… “They are a good team, a good club, and they are well run.” What he meant to add at this point was, “but they are also small-time cretins with six fingers who think they are worthy of a place in the Premier League. What the f**k does a chef know about football? Stay in the kitchen Delia… that’s what I say”   I guess they are still bitter for messing up last season and being below us this one too!
 22. “We believe an object was thrown from the home section of the crowd,” said club spokesman Joe Ferrari. “We believe we have identified the perpetrator. The matter has been taken up by police. there will be no further comment at this time.”
 23.
Oliver, 20, living in Oman..part of the family come from Norfolk so I was brought up supporting City. First game was a 2-1 win over Crewe when I was 8 but hardly ever get to games unfotunately.
Where abouts in Oman are you? I spent about 16 months out there, in Muscat and in the desert.
 24. I think the most recent version was: There''s a circus in the town, in the town Georgie Burley is the clown, is the clown and Andy Marshall is a Judas **** Ipswich Town are going down, going down
 25. I like Holt''s latest tweet... "Well I called 3 0 hope use all bet it. All arsenal players will all now be going to hell. Ha"
