  1. Like any board ours has made mistakes but hindsight is a wonderful thing, they are are committed to the club and people should realise that we have no divine right to be in the premiership or in the pay offs but with our resource we are desparately under achieving!!!
  2. Anybody can put the club up for sale but unless there are people who want to buy how do you sell? It''s not like selling your house, if there was anybody out there with a huge amount to invest they would have been banging the door down ages ago.
  3. Everybody is blaming the board for selling the best players but we have always sold the crown jewells. The diference is that we used to breed em and then sell em, (Sutton, Bellamy Fox etc etc) now we just buy and sell em (Ashton, Earnshaw etc etc). The trouble is there is no margin in selling players who have already a huge assett on the books and so the returns are little and we have spent this on poorer quality (Murray & Brown) whereas we used to buy decent players (Townsend & Fleck etc) based on the huge profits made. Everybody who comes here says how wonderful are facilities are are Colney and Carrow Road but the trouble is we haven''t produced any new talent through our ranks for years and Green is really the only home grown player who has been sold for a decent fee in years. Forget your board demos Smudger (that is really going to help us to sign some loan players) and stop blaming Delia and all as the real reason we have failed over the last 3 years is simple, our youth system is not working, there is no new talent coming through to bolster both the team and the bank balance, unless we start raising our own stars we will never return to the Premier league let alone the Championship. City till I die..
  4. Yeah, not many grounds have fencing outside the stadium but this is to stop their hooligans, who as one guy has already said on an earlier post, still think part of the game is having a good scrap afterwards. I saw the bottle coming over and thought blimely what would have happened if they had lost!!
  5. Another good turnout from the Canary faithful but I have never known them to be so quiet. The best cheer of the day came when a guy with a Man U top on,who had been hurling abuse, was ejected from the Hull end!! Hard working display, un spectacular, but both goals came from the the dead ball line when the ball should have been put out of play. Apart from that Marshall didn''t have a lot to do but his distribution of the ball needs to be better as we were giving the ball back to Hull. We had very litle threat up front and Hull deserved all 3 points but I thought they looked half decent so I don''t subscribe to the posts that we should always be beating teams like Hull. Looking at the table already it looks like another classic Championship year when everybody is capabale of beating anybody.
  6. What a joke of a post, the season hasn''t started yet and you want to talk about failure, go back to Ipswich.
  7. Anybody who treats our club with a total lack of respect does not deserve anything other than a hostile reception!!
  8. Look at the 2006 season who tipped Watford after their struggle the season before and last year Derby rose from the basement. My point is this league is wide open and there is always one surprise, this year who will it be? If you have the drive, passion and committment then you have half a chance, Grant has all 3 qualities so who knows we could be the surprise this year? Get behind the boys and anything is possible if you want it badly enough!! On the ball City.
  9. You are missing the point, we have got him off our wage bill and there is now one less player who is not committed to the cause. I believe the dead wood has been cleared out and we now have players who want to play for our club. Its not always the best team who gets promoted but the ones who want it the most!!
  10. After watching Shacks last year and especially noticeable at Barnsley away was that he was leading all the players and the most vocal canary on the pitch, great choice, my only worry is that Shacks will end up in the premiership, let''s hope it''s with us!!
  11. What we are perhaps forgetting is that 22,000 fans turned up to watch a friendly because they are passionate and committed to NCFC. This kind of support deserves respect and committment in return and if Saf thinks he can mess the club about then I am 100% behind Peter Grant. I don''t want to see my cash being paid to players who are not interested in putting themselves on the line for our club so as far as I am concerned I hope Saf never sets foot in Carrow Road again and what a move by Grant keeping him off the photo!!!
  12. Every little bit helps but compared to all the cash in the Premier League this is just a drop in the ocean, almosy hush money me thinks!! The only way to get hold of the real dosh is to finish 1st or 2nd or maybe get lucky in the play offs!!
  13. He was in the programme as there was a piece about their 5th round win over Norwich !
  14. Great to see a picture of Andy Hughes in the FA Cup Final programme, at least we lost to the winners. Superb stadium and facilities even if the game was poor, looking forward to going back next season with City in the play offs.
  15. What a goal the blues scored today, I think most footy fans all over the country must be pleased to see Leeds go down.
  16. The blame stops at the FA, first they have stupid kick off times then they charge a fortune to go and watch. It is time to wake up and stop ripping off the fans. Why should prices be any higher than for a normal league game at either Old Trafford or Villa Park, it''s the same seats and the same game so why charge an extra £20? Next year will be even better, both semis at Wembley (this dilutes the final) and the ticket prices will be even higher. It''s time the FA and the Premier League clubs stopped taking loyal supporters for a ride, follow the example from Carrow Road, charge decent prices and fill your ground. You can make the extra cash on the burgers, drinks and programmes and even the odd shirt!!
  17. I have had tickets from this before, there are always a few hundred people who don''t turn up the question is how many offer them to the buy back! I am sure you will get in, this must be one of the lowest key derby games for years, afterall this season we are both playing for 2nd place in the East Anglian league!!! Good luck.
  18. It''s now a small minded club...run by small minded people....with even smaller minded supporters   Hey Cluck you speak for yourself, sounds like you have got a touch of the bird flu, watch out you could be set for a roasting!!
  19. Name''s of potential backers have been given to the club.... they just aren''t interested in stepping aside.... how many more times do you need to be told???   Oh dear poor old Smudger, you are starting to believe your own propaganda now. How many people have actually put their money on the table, which is enough to buy the club and invest £Ms? Delia is a fan, very approachable, and puts her life and soul into this football club, how would you have felt is she had sold out to Ken Bates for example?
  20. Good news, I see Robert Eagle has signed a new 1 year deal, lets hope Chris Martin follows his example!!
  21. I have clearly stated that I will not be attending until Delia slings her hook. Oh dear, whilst I respect your principals I fear you may not see a game for many a year as I reckon Delia is here for the long haul. Imagen the pain missing out on a play off final or a promotion season, come on as the saying goes no individual is bigger than the club. Tell you what Smudger, as you couldn''t enjoy my hospitality at the KC, you choose the game next season and I will buy you a ticket. Perhaps we could try and meet up with Delia for a cup of tea after the game if our friends from the Pink Un can make it happen?!
  22. Smudger if you fancy discussing this over a beer why don''t we meet up at the KC Stadium on Good Friday,  you should have plenty of time on your hands as there is no demo to organise anymore! Come on Smudger you haven''t answered my invitation, as you can see your first pint is on me, fancy going?
  23. Forget all the negative talk of recent weeks, which I must admit is falling away a little, (are you reading Smudger?) this great football club is on the up." Talk about stirring up a hornets nest but I wrote this as in my opinion Smudger and Co seem to have gone quiet since we started winning! It''s almost as if they are disapointed? I was at Luton and yes we got out of jail, I was at Barnsley and after the first half we should have had 5. The point is on our day the Canaries are as good as any team in this league, how many teams have beaten Birmingham home and away? We have had 3 dreadful seasons and I didn''t renew my season ticket this year as Worthy was still in the hot seat. The board made the change too late but I believe they now have the right man in charge and we need to back the whole club. As 15,000 fans have already renewed their season tickets it looks like I am not the only one who thinks the same. Smudger if you fancy discussing this over a beer why don''t we meet up at the KC Stadium on Good Friday,  you should have plenty of time on your hands as there is no demo to organise anymore!
  24. As the song goes it always was a small town in Norwich!!
  25. I bet he won''t be on the bench next week!!??
