I am far from a ''newspaper snob'' as you put it, but there''s hardly going to be an abundance of Championship news in that rag!! it has the smalest readership of any daily in England!! i tend to read whatever has the best footy coverage in it, be that the Sun, the mail, whatever.   So there!

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why Ashton is getting booed? Ridiculous, all he ever did was leave. Aside from the dodgy barnet, I think it''s well out of order. On the other side, we''re awful at the back, with the exception of Marshall, who has made 4 fantastic saves so far. Other than that, hughes has had loads of the ball, Chadwick''s had some nice touches and that''s about it.....................oh dear.

While Safri has undoubted talent, £3million for him is extremely wishful thinking. He''s 30, in the last year of his contract and will miss most of Jan due to the African Nations. If we get offered £1.5mil for him, we should take the money and run!   I personally hope he stays, we''ll have to wait and see.

Stupid get out clause set waaaay too low, we paid nearly £3mil for him in the first place!!!! At least we don''t have the ugliest striker on earth playing for us anymore. Cureton wasn''t supposed to be a replacement............   It says Grant gets ALL the earnie cash plus the £2mil to spend though. that makes a change.
