1. The wait goes on then......  It could work in our favour, maybe he delayed the move because he wanted the chance to talk to at least one other team interested in him. That way he has something to compare us to.   By the sounds of it Sheff Wed are already admitting defeat in the wages they can offer him and banking on friendship to win him over. Having said all that........If he don''t wanna join us then we should go the extra mile to sign Eastwood, scored a decent amount of goals in a struggling championship team last year, put him into a team that creates more chances = more goals for him.
2. How long do you reckon Grant gave Billy to make his mind up about joining us?  The weekend has passed, as far as we all know, no-one has come in for him matching our bid.   IF he does have doubts about joining us and was hoping for another club to come in for him over the weekend he must be really confused about what to do. I am hoping for a conclusion to this transfer saga today.
3. I didnt have any of his pastie so I cant comment on its taste.  Maybe you should send this link to your friend and that''ll keep him quiet --- > http://new.pinkun.com/search/story.aspx?brand=PINKUNOnline&category=Norwich&itemid=NOED24%20May%202007%2013:58:51:800&tBrand=PINKUNOnline&tCategory=search
4. 2 words............Andy Hughes 1 price..................5 million. He can play Right back, Left Back, Centre Midfield, Right Midfield and just behind the strikers.   5 Million is a snip for a player that can play in all those positions.   Get on the phone to Curbishley and get him signed up. How we will cope without him, im not sure but he is a star and you should buy him.
5.
and it appears a bid has been turned down.  We need to either break the bank to get him here.. or dare i say it offer them Earnie as part of the deal.. but only if we get Sharp! jas :)
Tell me you were joking about the last part.  Give them our top striker for a goalkeeper who we only saw play a few times and when we have Joe Lewis about to break through in the next year.  Give them £500,000 - £750,000 at the most for him, if not get an older goalkeeper for alot less or free and then bring Lewis through. I''ll assume you were joking..........
6. Serves him right for going out in Liverpool.
7. I''d say the Crewe fans are being a bit harsh.........I think we''ve got ourselves an excellent signing, considering the fee. PFA League One Team of the Year: Joe Murphy (Scunthorpe), Jon Otsemobor (Crewe), Matt Lockwood (Leyton Orient), Terry Skiverton (Yeovil), Ian Breckin (Nottingham Forest), Wesley Hoolahan (Blackpool), Richard Wellens (Oldham), Matt Jarvis (Gillingham), Chris Shuker (Tranmere), Luke Varney (Crewe), Billy Sharp (Scunthorpe)
8. Jon Otsemobor will be unveiled as a Norwich City player if he passes a medical next week. The 24-year-old defender was not offered fresh terms by Crewe at the end of the season after rejecting an initial offer last December. The former Liverpool youngster was happy to run down his Alex contract after Norwich boss Peter Grant declared an interest in him two months ago. Now the right-back is due for a medical in Norfolk on Monday, after which he should seal his move to the Championship outfit. Otsemobor''s agent, Eric Walters, said: "Jon was impressed with Peter Grant''s vision for the future of Norwich and he is very excited about joining him. "While he has alternatives, he favours Norwich." Otsemobor proved a big hit for Crewe after joining from Rotherham on a free transfer in January 2006. But he was slapped on the transfer list by Crewe boss Dario Gradi when he refused to commit himself to the club by agreeing a new deal. Otsemobor''s agent added: "Jon would like to thank Dario and his staff for all their help. This is an important time in his career and he needs to test himself. He feels he has made the right decision." Because of Otsemobor''s age, Crewe will not receive compensation, and Gradi admits he is in the dark as to his likely destination. "Norwich told us they would be speaking to him, but it''s surprising we''ve heard nothing as we usually have good contacts with them," he said. "Maybe it is all cut and dried and he has a contract already sorted out with Norwich."
9. Was a good result from our own selfish point of view. All of the teams coming down are not really that strong, unlike last year when West Brom, Birmingham and Sunderland came down.  Sure they will have the parachute payments but I didnt fancy seeing West Ham or Wigan with their financial power in the championship next season because that could have been 2 automatic promotion places gone already.  Any decent players Sheff Utd, Watford or Charlton have will leave them i.e. D.Bent, Jagielka, Errm and someone from Watford, maybe, possibily. If West Brom win the play offs, which I believe they will, then that is 3 very strong teams leaving to be replaced by 3 weaker teams, in my eyes anyway.  Obviously I am saying this assuming (hoping) we will be up and challenging at the top next season.
10. The only reason I can think we are being liked with Danny Coyne is he a half decent keeper who wouldnt demand much in wages, unlike Warner.  Grant probably only wants a GK for next season and then he will be looking at blooding Joe Lewis after that so seems pointless to spend a lot of money on a goalie i.e. Marshall, when we have a very good prospect about to break through.
11. 10 Million???? How is that being shrewd?     If we got offered 10 million for those 2, I would take it.  Huckerby only has 1 more season in him, so he says.
12. Lower Barclay Block E Row J Seat 139.  Right at the end next to the wall, great view of the opposing fans [:D]
13. Is it just me or does anyone else get bored and slightly annoyed when ever you watch a sky game where Darren Carter is playing, at some point during the game the commentators start talking about him and they always say the same bloody thing '' Darren Carter, of course scored that all important penalty 4-5 years ago against Norwich to take Birmingham to the premiership''.   I just cant believe he''s been playing for all these years now and still thats the only thing people ever say about him.    I guess im just bitter and twisted. BTW - I only brought this up cos i was watching WBA last night and they happened to mention it, shock !
14. 4-0 to Leicester then.    Scorers Kenton, Hammond and Jarret will get a brace.  Worthy will be the best manager around and Grant the worst. If only the game was at Carrow Road....................
15. Oh chill out, we''re playing again on monday.  Martin is still young and asking him to turn out friday and monday and play to full potential is a big ask.  Its not like he''s on the bench and Peter Thorne is playing instead.  Nice to see Eagle, Renton and Martin all on the bench. The futures bright, the futures YELLOW & GREEN [:D]
16. well I might aswell join the thread aswell......[:P]I think you mean Clint Easton and he plays for Gillingham
17. Isn''t he the player that got shot in the ass when  he played for liverpool ? At least he wont have that kinda trouble when he''s out in a club or bar in Norwich.
18. He obviously believes in himself and feels he is good enough to play for england some day. Apart from Rooney, we dont have that many good strikers, I mean we took Crouch to the world cup.
19.
Errrrr Yes. Wasn''t quite expecting someone to guess that quickly!!
Knowledge is power [:P]
20. Ian Culverhouse.  Playing for Swindon against Everton in 1997 in the FA CUP.
21. I thought this comment from Peter Grant was quite refreshing: Grant admitted Huckerby''s 31st-minute winner following razor sharp interplay with Chris Martin was lifted straight from Colney''s practice pitches. "I''ve seen it enough in training to know that was not a one-off," he said. "Because of Hucks'' pace you''ve got to use the ball early. It''s not something we coach - it''s a natural instinct and we allow the players freedom to express themselves. "I said that to them from the minute I came in the door. It''s great the players are taking it on and believing in it. I don''t care if they do a back-heel and make a mistake as long as it''s in the right areas of the pitch. "Chrissy showed his intelligence - it wasn''t just a back-heel but a back-heel seeing where other players were around him. That wee bit of craft gave us the victory."
22.
Funny how everyone raved about Gally at the end of last season..... one good save against QPR and he was here for life.......
It couldn''t have been everyone, because I wasnt. Never rated him, just looks too small to be a keeper.
23. Mine too, but its back to pink-un now.
24. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6452013.stmWe would never win a penalty shoot out, so on that basis its a stupid idea.
25. This isnt Huckerbys goal but it is norwich related and rather amusing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FMpK26edV8
