1. dont know too much about him, but i would have preferred a million (or 2) pound player instead permanent signing instead, i hope he does well but if so then his value will increase and what do we do after december when he goes??
2. Reading these threads it appears that if anyone so much as cuts a loud fart at Colney then we are all up in arms proclaiming ''relegation awaits'' and ''sack the board''. We all suddenly become clarevoyants and become experts in predicitng the future!! As you all know I back the club to the hilt. I am prepared to give it a few games (as i did last season) and then if we are in a bad situation then i am more than happy to display my feelings which will by then be negative/dissapointed. God at least let a few games get underway before deciding how our season will turn out! The negativity on these boards is akin to the press'' relationship with any England Manager!!
3. Attended the game in the sunshine and just thought I would give my thoughts on how some of the players performed for those who couldn''t make it. :) Please be aware that the comments made below are after one match (and for most 45 mins) worth of football so please dont read too much into them. Just my opinion. Cureton - looked lively, not lost his pace or explosiveness, finishing a touch wayward but expect him to do well this season Dave the Striker - looked off the pace, but good positional awareness and had a good touch too. will do well but not sure how long it will take to adjust to the english game Brown - did nothing to suggest he will make an impact this season. Martin - Played left wing and its glaring how out of position he is there, hope he is played up front this season. Dublin - commanding performance Safri - great touch looked good Croft - dissapointing Chadwick - played left wing and never looked particularly threatening although did score a nice goal. Rossi Jarvis - good solid performance from him and I hope he features this season.
4. Does anyone know how to correctly prounce big dave''s surname? a phonetic spelling would be good please :)
5. ''Someone who supports or champions something'' Quite simply....., if the above is not applicable to you then why bother posting on here?
6. wind-up merchant. its not worth getting het up about smudgers comments. just let it wash over you and then continue to enjoy the new signings. our squad looks considerably stronger than last seasons!!
7. i am pretty certain Scholes retired due to family commitments?
8. i for one am gutted. never got to watch the big man live in a norwich shirt. never will know i guess. well done Worthy. you crushed a school-boy dream last year. you prob told Eadie to retire too
9. er didnt we take a risk a few years back and get hucks/crouch/harper? i agree with the original thread but can def see the merits of gambling/risk taking.
10. player names, i personally cant stand own names or witty comments. thats personal opinion though
11. I''ll tell delia to put a few mugs of tea on for you boys so you can keep warm while the rest of us are inside watching the game. pack of biscuits too? one pack should be enough to go round.
12. surname is MacBlain Blainsey is what I was called at school and at UEA and it has stuck!!
13. i''ll be there, having recently moved to bristol this is now alomst a home game for me!!
14. You have probably had countless posts about this before, and if so please excuse my ignorance for having read them..... What would you like in an ideal world for NCFC as everything that seems to happen is to your dislike? You now have carte blanche to tell me exactly what changes you would make to anything you wish ie; playing personell (ins and outs), backroom staff (coaching, board etc), expenditure, tackling media so on so on.   Over to you..... I am actually quite interested in your response.

You realise you have all been named and shamed now and are on this Forum''s most wanted list???  hohoho who cares though hey??? [:O]
christ!! better cordon off the whole area for this mighty demonstration!!!! i can feel the ground rumble under all those footsteps!!   WHAT A JOKE
16. this stands with no new signings so i think we may see a new face or 2 at the back. I also think chadwick will play over Croft. As for hucks and cureton up front, not so sure about that one as it has been stated that Grant wants Cureton to play up front with a ''big man''.
17.
Hardly delighted so far. We''ve lost a top striker and replaced him with one of a lesser standard. We''ve signed a league 2 keeper and got a league one fullback from Crewe on a free. All else is rumour. Not really the stuff to set the world alight is it?
lol "lesser standard"....scored more goals than earnshaw at championship level, and you cant even make that comparison as cureton hasnt started re-playing for us!! a league 2 keeper who is highly rated and will provide good competition a full-back with junior england experience and raised by two of the best clubs at developing young players hmmm, like to re-phrase your point? or just whinge again
18. seen a match worn shirt on ebay from that season with no 14. wanted to know whose it was before bidding (or not)
19. good point. so could be any number of players by that logic :(
20. I am delighted so far with; our new signings the players released the way Grant handles the media Grant''s permament signings last season   For the first time in a few years I am throughly excited about the new season starting. I had gone stale under Worthy but now cant wait to get going. I love pre-season for the optimism it brings with new signings. So much so I am off to exeter in a few weeks to watch us play.   OTBC
21. i appreciate there have been several threads on this over the years.... but cant we give Grant till xmas at least before slating him? how much better would it be to read about the enthusiasm shown for some good new signings (and they are good) and to ride a crest of optimism for the season ahead rather than moan and counter moan :(
22. Can anyone tell me who played shirt number 14 during the 1995/96 season? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
23. its my bday too.....but i have only reached 27 so far!!
24. Not sure if they would consult ''polytechnic'' students ;)
