1. I mocked his signing. That only lasted a few weeks until I realised that despite his age he is a truly great servant. Well done Worthy for making this happen and good luck to you Dion in whatever walk of life you pursue.
2. I am appalled at the detrimental comments that are currently being sent hucks way, the man took a massive pay-cut to join us all those years ago, without him coming we would not have been promoted, and several posters on here wouldnt have decided to either a) come out of the woodwork and support us again becuase were premiership, or b) decide to support us initially because we were premiership. The man has bled yellow and green since he arrived. It is not his fault that no manager has really got the best out of him (apart from that first season). The very fact that he has won the PFA player of the month award is testament to his quality. And posters on here slate his ability and attitude. Disgusting.
3. 1) No offside at all, this was implemented in hockey circa 1995 and has resulted in a much more attacking open flowing game with lots more goals being scored. It took a season or 2 for people to get their heads round it but once bedded in I would never want to go back. 2) Rolling subs, again as in hockey you can sub as often as you want whenever you want (exceptions are for attacking corners), this would mean that we would see a ''true'' squad game where players could rest within matches, this would probably have an effect on the national team come summer with players being fresher.
4. hilarious ardee!!! :) seriously though guys, any idea? I find the whole thing fascinating and would love to know who it was to try and guage what their response was!!
5.
Me
mature
6. Apologies if this thread has been on here before..... I seem to remember that when Glen took over he referenced the fact that he had spoken to someone who knew the current playing squad very well, as to what each player was like. I also remember Glen saying that for obvious reasons he wouldn''t divulge this information. I just wondered if anyone had got wind of who it was? I would be very interested to see who it was, and to know what was said about certain players and whether we think Glen took that advice.
7. well i can think of bu**er all else to do on a saturday in Norwich!!
8. :) my favourite part is "Huckerby twisted like a speared seal" i would like to know at what point in his life the author actually saw a seal being speared and thus qualified him to use this!!
9. Form wise (over the last 4 matches) we must be in the top 6 of the table. Sooooo, if it continues as such, or even with a slight drop-off we should make for a mid-table finish. Or am i speaking too soon? ;)
10. Recently discovered Betfair.com, anyone else bet on this website? Its great and makes any football match that little bit more appealing!!
11. Does anyone else think that this is perhaps not the best decison? I appreciate that we lack cover at the moment, but if Marshall gets injured/suspended and Arnold isn''t up to it, cant we get in an emergency keeper under the regulations? Lewis is playing extremely well and if recalled it is unlikely he will then get competitive football other than reserve football which will hold him back in his development. Why bring him back to bench-warm when we could do the above or recall Gally? And Gilks wont be out for too much longer.
12. well the joy started in 1992 when i started supporting the side..... the pain started in 1994 when i realised that i had entered into the wonders of supporting a ''selling'' club.....bye bye fox, culverhouse, sutton, robins, ekoku......add bloody infinitum. been mostly pain since then. often wonder why i bother but once you have made your bed....
13. A superb thread with some superb replies. Makes for chilling reading though and further reinforces my desire to see a new director/board firmly in place.
14. i appreciate the irony in writing this, but wasnt the last line of this thread NOT TO REPLY?
15. results will tell ultimately.... I was extremely disappointed with the appointment of Roeder (i dont need to regurgitate these arguements) however, since his appointment I have seen something that I have not seen since, well i dont know when, and that is a Premiership attitude adopted by a manager toward the club. Roeder understands what is requisite to be a premiership club and from listening to various interviews, reading press reports and seeing his actions so far I am beginning to see the seeds of a new club being sown. He wants to make this club a premiership one and is now starting to put into place structures and policies necessary to achieve this. the first line of this thread says it all really.....but i am starting to come around......
16.

I thought we would be hard placed to find someone with a worse CV than previous Board appointee Bruce Rioch with four sackings out of his previous five managerial roles. But hey, our great Board have done even better and found someone with a 100% sacking record. I bet he was awfully polite at the interview and held doors open for all the right people. So as they will have to give time to this latest clown, I feel that Div 3 in old money is now a virtual certainty.
Roeders CV doesn''t read as bad you may think.  Or have you just posted from the hip, do some research mate......
er jimmy500 you get your facts right first!! Gillingham - sacked watford - sacked west ham - sacked newcastle - resigned before imminent sacking   and his win ratio isnt too hot either.
17. 100% agree lads, just when you though it couldnt get any worse along comes captain charisma. great.
18.
Just warming up and getting some practice in should the board mess up again!. Fear not though, by Christmas ''rat boy''s position here would become untenable!.[:@]
great post Wiz, i am in complete agreement and off to get practicing!! in protest i will bin my parents'' delia cookbooks.
19. it certainly does :) best news this morning
20. manager/coach/gk coach out. Youth team coach in charge, new guy gets to bring in his own team. yet we will still have the deadwood of duffy and gunn (no slur on your playing career your a legend but a coach???) to deal with when the new guy comes in. Again just something else symptamatic of all that is wrong at the moment.
21. of course not, but we have gone for; change of manager (numerous times) change of backroom staff change of playing staff increase in transfer budget decrease in transfer budget appointment of extra scouts none of these have worked in which case a need for absolute change is necessary and it has to come from the upper echolons
22. Title says it all really. Bottom 3 by xmas will have given the majority shareholders plus board ample years to have improved NCFC. If so they MUST go and give time for others to come in and invest!! Otherwise take note of Bradford/Leeds/Swindon etc. Dark times indeed.
