  1. Everyone says the police shouldn''t be involved but why should you get away with assault on a football pitch. The only way to stamp out this sort of behaviour is for someone to get prosecuted, If i had done the same thing on the street and caught on camera I would be doing 3 months! It isn''t his first offence either so the FAshould throw the book at him. It also reinforces the case for video refereeing. The sooner the better in my book.
  2. Whilst leon has done ok for us and always puts in lots of effort, I have never been convinced that he has the ability to score lots of goals or lots of assists. he is also prone to injury because his game is always at 100% flat out. Whilst this is good to see he does not possess the necessary skill level to be able stamp his authority on a game. He is a championship player at best and if we want to progress we need to offload some of our strikers and strenghthen other areas. I believe Mcviegh is ideal cover for earnshaw as he is an excellent striker who has always played well when up front.  Definitely sell for £750,000. Also means Jarvis may get an opportunity
  3. I agree I dont want us to get in anymore debt but at the moment they all SEEM to be doing better than us with bigger squads and grabbing the few decent players that are available. This is despite our bigger gates (except Leeds) parachute payment and probably the smallest squad in the championship and cheapest squad in the top 12 teams (with so many youth team players). i do wonder sometimes that if we had gone into administration at the end of the chase years would we now be better off? Even when we get promoted to the Prem we have just blown the whole lot on wages. And finally remind me of the last club that went to the wall from the Prem, Championship or leagues, that had gates of more than 5000? Prudence mmmm!
  4. I think we will lose 2-1 but it will be close and earnshaw will score. I just cant see many goals coming from anywhere else in the team unless mcviegh plays
  5. I am really worried this season as the number of clubs which are competeing in the championship that were broke but are now outstripping us on player purchases and wages. Coventry, Leeds, Derby, Leicester and a few others were and I think still are in far greater debt than us but are still competeing and beating us in the transfer market. How can they be doing it when we have far greater income as we still have a parachute payment as well. We must have also the smallest squad in the league as some left but have been replaced by trainees on cheap wages.  The broke clubs are going to be in a much stronger squad position than last season and teams like coventry showed they have recovered and will be there or near the top for promotion. I am getting more and more concerned as to where this club is going at present and what wages we are paying the so called stars at the club because that must be where the cash from the prem went and is still going.
  6. Rudolph. I think you have been spot on with your post. I to did not renew as I felt let down that medocre football is good enough for the board. I felt the only way I could protest at what was served up last season was to not renew. I think many did because they were afraid they would not get in to Carrow rd this season. The board are in a lucky position, but it cannot last as IMO they wont pay for another season of dullness
  7. 442 please. As we saw with england and for most of the world cup teams 1 upfront is boring and whilst it may win you the world cup it is also a lottery. I honestly believe if we had played 442 along the floor instead of hoof ball we would have won the world cup. I think Norwich are the same, but we need good passers of the ball like we used to have.
  8. What I want to know is how we went into the Prem, spent miserly and got our rewards of relegation and ended up another 1.5 m in the red. The players and their wages that were brought in but were not used until the last couple of months........................Oh no Im off again!
  9. I reckon Ernie will leave in the next few weeks as the lure of prem football and a link up with Mark Hughes will be too much of a draw. Whilst this will be a major disappointment, we can then spend the money on a better quality target man and we ahve plenty of small strikers (WLY) anyway!
  10. So Worthy claims that everyone is on holiday and that is why no transfers have been made. Well look at this site and that really puts that excuse to bed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/5037292.stm I''m hearing more about players leaving than coming ( the wrong ones IMO) and any mention of interest in a good player and they are promptly snapped up by a prem team or the relegated teams. We''re doomed!
  11. I thought it was the jarrold stand that could take a second tier, not the main stand?
  12. He will go in Oct when the board finally wake up and realise that the fans will not put up with mediocre football, which is guaranteed under him.
  13. I had doubts from the start, but results proved that he was worth perservereing with as he should! learn from his mistakes. I thought the league cup defeat to Northampton was a low point, but the loan signings saved him and we went on to get promotion, but I was never convinced that we would be successful in the Prem. However seeing how woeful some of the other sides we were fighting relegation with, we should have stayed up. I felt Worthy just wasn''t managing the team at all and when he finally realised his errors it was too late. ie a target man in Jan, and playing Safri and helveg in their proper positions. This season has been pathetic and he has not learnt from his mistakes. We still play to deep with players out of position and quality only being introduced by loan players who then get dropped or leave. I think the Charlton model has been exhausted and its fine if the manager can develop with the club. This manager is going backwards not forwards.
  14. I think with Worthless in charge we will be in a similar position to this year. Enough quality with Hucks, Earnie to win most home games and hover around the edge of the playoffs, so keeping him in his job. But we will still have to suffer the away day clueless performances and boring play.  I think Green will be the only big player to leave as only earnie is the other asset that we could get a good price for.  Sadly the rubbish signed will be hanging around and the love child will still be in the staring line up each week. Still I wont have to sit and watch it unfold as I haven''t renewed and will just have to listen to Roy instead.
  15. So you think that floating around the top 6 for the season playing poor football, but enough too beat the rubbish opposition seen this season will keep you happy.  Its the performances on the pitch that excite the crowd, without the performance the crowd will be as quiet as they have been this season. Sadly the players who let us down will be here along with the man that bought them. There is no hope!
  16. I read a wolves fans post on Teamtalk and they were complaining that they were sick of Hoddle playing pretty football at the expense of results!  Ironic eh!
  17. Is that Worthy will stay at the helm and we will still play the dire football of this season, but we will fluke and muddle through in and around 6th place, so he stays in the job. We scrape the play offs and get beaten, but everyones happy because our target is a top 6 place, So we get him for another season and the crowds and money fade and the rot has really set in. Only top 2 and playing well is acceptable!
  18. This is all very well, but none of the players he has bought this season (apart from earnie) are of any use and he''s stuck with them for at least another season. So how can we afford to keep them (we wont be able to sell them) and add to the squad where there are gaping holes. The Ashton money was spent on earnie, so apart from a small amount of parachute payment and some from greeno going and thats it. Its not going to happen and we will have to sit through another season of low quality, scraping the play offs and being knocked out to suffer another season of his mediocum.
  19. whilst I think delia has done a great job and raised the profile of our club, I think people get to carried away with '' the  club would not exist if it wasn''t for her''.  There have been numerous clubs in far worse financial difficulties than us and they have all survived and if we had gone into administration at  that point and could have probably written off half our debt.
  20. He''s even said that we have played fantatstic at home recently. EH! Nearly as good as Worthy''s excellent porformance last Sat!
  21. Waghorn seems to be trying to convince everybody that Worthy is doing the right thing tactically and this last article is the most blatant example. It is total pap. We got promoted because we had Quality players, Huckerby, Crouch, Mcviegh who could hold the ball and beat people, while you then had supporting players who would do the hard work, but had the quality to pass the ball and keep possession. That team wasn''t the greatest, but they were a team. That is how you get promoted, every player fits into their own piece of the jigsaw. Worthy puts people where he has a gap because his squad is too small and he only seems to buy what he thinks is a good player, not what is needed to fit the team jigsaw. Earnshaw is a classic example. He seems to have got it right once when he got Huckerby, Crouch and the right winger (forget his name) on loan and they filled the missing pieces. He''s floundered ever since.
  22. Sadly, LGT you are wrong, the board wont back down now, they blew their chance when the charmed worthy got his Man of Month. The flukeiest run of wins i,ve seen, well, until our last 5 home wins. We could and probably should have lost the lot! I wont be renewing as he hasn''t been replaced and I would bet my season ticket cash that he will not be able to turn it around. I''ve seen managers struggle and then build a successful team, but he has managed to dismantle a successful team and offered no improvement throughout the season. Hes here until Oct at the earliest with odd flukey home wins keeping his job alive. I''m gutted as you can probably tell as I have lived away for 10 years missing our glory time and the depths of the chase out, but after being a season ticket holder for the past 4 years the entertainment and after a false dawn, the quality has slowly ebbed away. I hoped more would do the same and not renew, so if they sacked him I could go back, but its not to be. I will be writing to the club in the next few days with my renewal form telling them why I will not be renewing. Pity there are another 2000 waiting for my ticket, but do they know what they are letting themselves in for!
  23. b all the time and thats why I pay my cash or not at the moment!
  24. I totally agree there were a few occasions where he hit the ball low adn it bypassed the midfield (good) but land at leons chest and he was able to control it. Why pump it to the edge of their box only for them to header it back to the half way line. just punt the ball 2/3 up the pitch and they might stand a chance. Flexibility is the key not hoof hoof hoof!
  25. Football is in the entertainment business. Thats why I have been paying my season ticket fee when I could go and do much cheaper pastimes. Winning is part of that, but the leicester game and most of this season proves that it is not everything. The die hards whose life is NCFC will always go, but fans who have other interests and youngsters who are not hooked will just walk away. You can get quite a lot of entertainment for £25 certainly more than 1.5 hrs of tedium.
