Another bad decision!
Yellow Rose of Texas replied to Salopian's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Was Forster sent off for the "tackle" and "being the last defender" or for dissent? -

No, actually I read the table wrong.. you are correct 1 off the relegation spot and 5 off the playoffs. Tight league.. -
Gillingham v NCFC match chat thread

Wrong. We are 14th and three points of the relegation zone, five off the playoffs. We just also got an away draw with 10 men. -
.....I wonder what that says about the current team selection (or favouritism) going on at the moment at the club?!....... Probably not a lot as Cody and Martin both feature in the first team, Doc''s goal was apparently a tap in and Theo hasn''t had to make a save. After all its Southend Reserves. However it it gives all of these guys a kick up the backside being asked to play in the reserves I''m all for it... competition is good.

Season start (again) today
Yellow Rose of Texas replied to Yellow Rose of Texas's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Hence the -8 points, we''ve spotted them that lead already - can we catch up ? -
Paul Lambert
Yellow Rose of Texas replied to InLambertWeTrust!'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Let me think - None. O.K maybe these, but the first two were 30+ years ago Saunders - Man City Bond - Man City Walker - Everton O''Neill - Leicester -
So the season starts again today. We are on -8 points, 43 games to go. Where do we finish ?

Calling him a liar? Why don''t you believe what he says here? -
Stefanovic and Russell
Yellow Rose of Texas replied to ncfcfan's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
That is a really good thought... I was wondering about those two, why we were apparently trying to get rid but hadn''t. -
You put yourself in the firing line and you have to expect that this can happen. "But after just one game"? Yes because of what DIDN''T happen during and after that game. All too similar to a deer in the headlights - no changes during the first half, no changes at half time, didn''t even use the third sub. And the "I don''t know what happened response" Not even an apology, or apparently that being quite literally thrashed 1-7 was a big deal.. I''m sure he knows better but he didn''t say anything, didn''t offer any leadership in a time of crisis. And yes I know we won 4-0 at Yeovil, but we won 4-0 against Bradford too and what followed that?

That "deal" claim is either BS you just made up or you should explain it. I think that whoever want''s to protest should go ahead and do just that, a couple of hundred people protesting outside the ground is not going to make the blindest bit of difference one way or the other. If you want serious change you need to talk with Aviva, other creditors, the national press etc - just what dirt do you have to embarrass the club with?
His absence during the week could be something to do with evaluating Troy and other trialists who were called back for a further look. Gunny mentioned this. So there could be a decision one on or more, and since Gunny and Butters left on Monday Chippy would be the logical one to stay.
Makes sense, thanks.

How far was Gunn a managerial failure?
Yellow Rose of Texas replied to Salopian's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
"Unfortunately I don''t think the optimism was ever there for Gunn''s tactical mind and ability" Sums the situation up nicely. Losing 5-0 at half time is one thing. Putting the same 11 out for the second half is another. Not using the third substitute is another. But then not explaining to the fans what the reasoning behind those decisions was, and claiming not to know what happened is just inexcusable. I give him credit - along with Crook and Butterworth - as a player in one of my favorite Norwich teams, but a manager has a duty to lead and in my opinion Brian Gunn hasn''t. -
Agree with you Houston, except that we don''t deserve a third division manager. We need to have a top notch manager that can, well, manage. I.e provide leadership, motivate, re-assure, explain, exploit the resources that we do have an other 3rd division clubs don''t. Then the image of this club will rebound and along with that so will the finances.

Maybe I missed something, but what is Crook''s position at the club? The squad stayed in the West Country after Yeovil, so why''s the management team not all down there too?

Delia Out Protest...
Yellow Rose of Texas replied to Brendo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No you''d be daft to trust that they would based on the track record. But this is also a different board. So what I''m saying is, if they did make the right decision - would you still protest? -
Delia Out Protest...
Yellow Rose of Texas replied to Brendo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
And in the meantime if the board just happen to appoint a well respected, experienced manager would you still protest?
