  1. Sorry, I wish to mention another exceptional hardship: I have been a member of this forun for 8ish years. Since the rules changed re. Moderating the Forum. I have not been able to create my own topics... Does anyone know how I can contact a system administrator to give me access?   I have never been reported for naughtiness and my previous posts are generally created to incite humour rather than anger. I am hoping someone can help as it has been an extreme hardship not being able to create my own topical posts over the last 3 or so years. Thanks in advance.
  2. I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread. I was once voted as the Ned Flanders of my company though which leaves me feeling rather odd... I dont even wear glasses that often.
  3. I would never want to be a "number 2" either.... ha ha ha ha ha! And I certainly would not want to be anyone else''s "number 2" either.... erm... ha ha ha! Shearer comes out with some quotes does n''t he? Almost as funny as Partridge or Brent!
  4. Could the PINK UN web team / journalists attempt an arranged charity event with both players this coming pre-season please? Much money could be raised for a needy cause and it will be Norfolks highlight entertainment event of the year (perhaps after the annual summer opening of Pleasure Wood Hills, outside of Lowestoft).
  5.  I am a Bradford City Season Ticket Holder - but I would like to stay on this board. I first enjoyed the Canaries when I heard the fans chanting Iwans name. I could n''t believe their hero was a toothless Welshman. But I then could not help following Norwich and then found this website to keep up with all the news about the interesting Doncaster and the wonderful Worthington. So much so that Iwan beacame one of my heroes and for a laugh, I named my son "Iwan Robert James"... after a toothles Welsh hero indeed.
  6. Ooooh Albyella... you look fantastic, can we meet? Well done to the board for choosing Glen Roeder as manager. We are not out of the woods until we hit the magic 55 points, but the board hired someone who can and already has made a difference. The tide is turning and I like this forums new found positivity... hooray!
  7. First Wizard please keep up your fantastic work with the HEXES - Promotion will sort itself out by itself if your current spells keep working. Refer to this threads recent comments about Glen''s appointment - I was delighted with the choice of appointed and was deeply disappointed with PG''s appointment one year ago. I actually grew to like certain attributes of Grant but knew without 1st hand managerial experience, he was a disaster that was going to happen. Thank god Glen has proved me right so far (and not played Doherty , who has played very well this season, as a centre midfielder). Please consider this new chant for Ched(wyn) Evans (in the tune of his Native "Bread of Heaven" hymn: Chedwyn Evans! Chedwyn Evans! Feed the Ched and he will core (he will score) Feed the Ched and he will score. If you know the "tune" you know it will sound good on the terraces.
  8. Simon Lappin has been most impressive this year. He needs more credit as a dead ball specialist. He might not be a dribbler like Hucks. But his crosses, corners and free kicks have been more than most, dangerous for the opposition. He is turning into one of PG''s better buys. I think he is improving by playing.
  9. Absolutely inaccurate. No substane in this at all.
  10. I never have any problems... I always log in 45 minutes early.
  11. Mr Ian Murray might want to wake up. 2 glaringly obvious errors....
  12. Discussing all the time about whether this board is generally pessimistic or optimistic is depressing. Enough already. Doherty''s bald patch is getting bigger by the week. He should either shave what he has left or get a suitable transplant organised. His performances so far this season have been wholly acceptable this season in my opinion.  Good luck to Paul Gallagher who despite being out of favour - has acted in the most professional manner possible considering constantly being dropped. I wish him all the best at Queen of the South.
  13. Green should be included. BENTLEY must never play for England. It was the timing of his decision to drop out. Pearce was not allowed to replace him because he had already named his squad officially. Bentley is a disgrace andf he does not deserve a full Engalnd cap.
  14. Does that mean you have the right to view the accounts and eventually find the price of sale for Safri?
  15. Why is Safri''s fee "undisclosed"? I hope there''s a reason instead of: The fee being embarassingly low and being a preventative measure in not angering us as fans.
  16. I will very much miss our Safri chant... I will have to sing a different one in the shower this season. Grant is the boss and I like what he is doing. I have been strong critic of Grant from the outset, however is aggressive stance on many matters is now making me warm to him. He is striving for success with no toleration for failure is an example of all his staff and players to follow. I feel he has increased competition, replacing dead wood with real first team contenders. And the players who remain from the Worthy era are improving because of this competition - Croft will be much improved after his first full seaon of professional football. Anyway my wife has cooked me pizza........ bye.
  17. I support everyone who follows Norwich, especially the board. I support all playersincluding Paul Gallagher... I think his attitude is second to none. Delia is a fantastic ambassador for the club. Neil Doncaster is a great guy, shame about his namesake town which is still under 4 feet of water. I support Smudger and his belief that Norwich will be entering a new successful era this season. Happy times!
  18. Has anyone seen Matthew Halliday? - Can he compete for a place in the team? If not, we NEED someone to give Shackell & Doherty healthy competition/ replace, and cover for injuries. I have not heard Grant mention this position once during the pre-season search for players. Why? If this issue is resolved and a hald decent player is purchased - I am positive about this season. I really think it will make the difference between being promotion hopefuls, to being a mid-table disappointment. What''s going on?!
  19. I live in Bradford and have a season ticket next year at Valley Parade... therefore I have the delight of watching Peter Thorne get injured for my local club this year. I am also a massive Canary fan and have named my first son "Iwan Robert James" in recognition of my toothless hero.
  20. Being Welsh, I was a big fan of Earnie and initially I was dissappointed with his sale.... However I have slept since and now I have a little excitement as I really belive Norwich will spend at least another £2m on players after the aquisition of Cureton. Cureton is an excellent replacement for Earnshaw. We have replaced an ambitious player, striving for personal success, with one that is ambitious for the success of Norwich City Football Club. He could have a really good season for Norwich this year and be the Championships top scorer again. He always had the ability but now he also has the maturity to push himself harder and be successful. We have made £3.5m on Earnshaw, all of which is going to PG to purchase players. Let say we spent the full asking price for Cureton of £750k, I am postive at least £2m of PG''s £2.75m will be spent on new players before the end of August (of course sooner the better). Please can someone suggest two central defenders that show promise/ already proven that could actually be transfer possibilities? Has PG shown any known interest in central defenders this pre-season?
  21. Oh, I am a beginner - is it wrong to post new topics all the time? Are there any other rules I can refer to on this site? Just one note on Gary Doherty - he is excellent.... on Football Manager 2007. For a game with its reputaion hinged on accuracy, it could not be further wrong with this gentleman. Even if you stick him up front as a striker, he can get you 20+ goals a season. His accuracy from outside the box is outstanding. God, I wish my fiction was a reality.
  22. Earnie is not only Welsh, but he can play badly and score the winning goal in the 89th minute... I love him for it. We could keep Earnie and then push for a couple of central defenders + goalkeeper. Besides, Earnie owns a Hummer and its my intention before he leaves the Norfolk area, to convinve him to go green and replace the petrol guzzling tank with that of either bio-deseil or chip fat. I need at least another season to be successful at my mission.
  23. Andy was not blessed with looks and I am sure he is our most "nose of Tony Cascarino-like" former player. When I was 10 or 11, I remember standing in the Barclay end behind the goal, watching him score a penalty in a 1 - 1 draw with Luton. Even at that age I felt he was unfairly disadvantaging the goalkeeper with the sight and size of his nose. I assume he damaged it during his career in the game? If your a brave player you get damaged! Well done to Adam Drury, despite some nasty injuries last season, he is still some way near off a face like Tony Cascarino. Incidentally, why has n''t Andy Townsend visited during our centenary year etc?
  24. Imagine the signings Leicester would have made if NW had been taken on permanently?  Perhaps with all their recent signings there might be no room for Darren Kenton - would we allow Darren back? You''ll never beat the Kenton!
  25. Would it be fun getting either of these two back on a free? Maybe Thomas Helveg has left his club this close summer too? Clint Easton is still under 30... could be worth a punt? Its a shame we let Matt Jackson slip through our fingers, I think he was snapped up by Cardiff after leaving Wigan. What ever is Lee Marshall doing these days?
