  1. I don´t wish to appear a doom merchant, but it would appear that he may well be on his way! Hopefully this will be to the advantage of the club though - and good luck to the lad!
  2. Fan-bloody-tasticWhta can you say about this club. We are moving forward in such a positive, calculated way that will not only encourage all us aged fans (i am only 28!), but the youngsters too, that this really is a club moving forward, and a wonderful club to support. Please let me re-iterate what Yankee Canary said though, and it´s true - he is an aquistion not just for now, but for the future. Well done the board, nigel et al.
  3. From the 1st of january this has been one of the most fascitnating places to visit.  Never before have i seen so many people arguing their point as to who we´ll sign, people falling out, falling in, some being negative, some being positive and sometimes people giving opinions so damnright bonkers that you have to laugh  - and long may it continue!!!  WE all LOVE a football club that has never been rich in money, we are a people that adore the way we are, the colours we wear, the way we speak; and we do everything with a passion that rivals any club in the WORLD.  We have people here on this message board - DDim, Yankee Canary, Northern Canary, 1st Wiz, Tumbleweed, Gazza the great, Zippers left foot and Peter (Web team) who is so obviously a biased fan it makes your heart sing, to name but a few - who are all so forthright in giving their honest and wonderful insights; but what really grips me - and yes i know we all need a balanced view - is people being rude. Maybe they do not mean to be so, but recently in respect to the rumours of "who are we going to sign - and who not!", there have been one ot two that are out of order. Maybe they want to shock - but the fact is, regardless, we all have the city cause at heart - so respect each other and enjoy this season like no other.
  4. This would be an excellent signing - maybe not the answer to our current problems, but this boy is a goal machine for the future and at 250k - a bargain to boot!. When Worthy has installed some confidence in him - he´ll be a superstar.  What makes you all feel that Ashton or Bent or Hulse or all the others that have been linked to the club will do any better?  Everythings a gamble, and at this stage of the season whats more important than anything is to keep morale high and new players arriving do that.
  5. I know how you feel. Being in Spain though is not so bad as we get many premiership games but like you there is nothing like the real thing. Every day i like to read on the internet the football stories from pink un and football-rumours, which is funny, and bbc etc etc I am coming back to Norwich this Friday to see family before Christmas, so i´ll probably be in the queue for the 200 tickets at 5.00am if anyone wants to bring me a coffee!
  6. Just wanted to say hi and thanx to the pink boys and girls - a true work of genius this board.
  7. my god, you mean to say pieman that splat the cat is not real? it´s a man dressed up as a cat? next you´ll be telling me that zema is the solution to our striking problems.
  8. i have to agree with green and yellow aswell. i think our best chance is to attack teams. 4-3-3 will work with the players we have, and lets resign ourselves to the fact that we´re going to let in goals but hopefully score more.
  9. it´s well known that arsenal don´t really play with an out and out frontman, so don´t play 4 at the back. that´s wasting 3 men straight away as henry will drift out to the left touchline to be marked by helveg. it´s their midfield which is the force, with runners coming from all angles and i think that´s what u have to match. play 3-5-2 or even, and it sounds weird, 3-6-1 with our midfield playing them at their own game. whatever happens the midfield would have to make sure they go with their runners. do i win a fiver?
  10. that´s true - it´s baking over here right now!
  11. i forgot to mention on my first post! we were watching in southern spain and i was so proud of all the supporters who went to OT. we could hear u out-signing the united faithful easily. well done all those who went. V PROUD
  12. listen, the boyz did ok - they worked very very hard and limited man united to very few clean cut chances, but you´ve got to say that our passing was awful. they must practice on the training ground no? that said, the attitude was superb and they thoroughly deserved a goal and some heart to take into wednesdays match. wasn´t francis awesome - a true legend.
  13. my brothers are over, so we´re watching in deepest darkest southern spain - if anyone´s interested - they´d be more than welcome. ole ole y ole!
  14. i agree. look i just checked and i can fly from jerez in spain and onto manchester and newcastle for about 140 euros return inc. taxes. that´s four flights! does make me wonder sometimes who´s winning in these scenarios - club or company?
  15. would need to be ´pay as u play` or something as he´s got a dodgy injury, but i agree he is good and perfect hold ball up material - skillful too!
  16. it just so happens that they are showing it live on canal+ here in spain, so i´ll be watching it on the terrace - beer in hand of course! all welcome!
  17. Thank crickey that no-one has scheduled a press conference yet - that would mean that those rumours about doherty and richards are true. May god help us. Alternatively if it were ashton or callum would that make it any better? Should be an interesting day me thinks and will annoy the pants off all those bah-humbugs on here who don´t like rumours. So who out of these latest four rumours would you like to see here at FCR? For me it would be Ashton
  18. he´s gone very quiet all of a sudden - mr raven has! hmmm.....
  19. my humble apologies - i couldn´t remember his name. i nearly wrote scat the cat, but i wasn´t sure so i didn´t except now i have! oops. anyway, far more interestingly - peter - u can´t say who i know, but do u know who it is we´re after?
  20. all this secrecy at ncfc surrounding transfers drives me bonkers. i mean how do they do it?keep it secret that is! i mean, they´ve got to meet somewhere haven´t they to discuss all the finer points etc etc and to have the now `norfolk famous´ tour of norwich. so i am calling on all..... 1) hotel staff (in particular porters ´cos they know it all!) 2) taxi drivers (who know it all and more) 3) airline staff (u can´t lie about the name on your ticket otherwise the americans will have u down guantanamo before u can say "i love u delia") 4) restaurant/bar staff (these guys have gotta eat haven´t they?) 5) pink un staff inc peter and vince (´cos they must know more gossip than us!) 6) players (´cos they just love to talk) 7) the security guys at carrow road (gotta be checked before entering the fortress) 8) the guy/gal who prints the names on the strips (gotta be done before a press conference so he can hold up a shirt and kiss the badge) 9) make-up artists (they´re footballers after all. although some one forget to hire them when charlton signed!) 10) my mate brooksy (he´s a rumour legend) 11) captain canary and that cat thing etc etc..... to spill the beans pretty please with a cherrry on the top.
  21. except the primus saga that is......although i think that pompey and his agent are to blame for all that no?
  22. my go... 1.Safri 2.Helveg 3.Fleming 4.Francis 5.Bentley 6.Hucks 7.Charlton 8.Drury 9.Holt 10.Green That boy Safri can keep hold of the ball, and pass it, and i think he´ll be player of the season. Fleming always raises his game so he´ll come on leaps and bounds and as stated by others, Francis is gonna mix it this year and looks up for it.
