1. Yes, but Darren Huckerby could hardly have been classed as cheap with a price tag of £750,000. Besides which, we knew within a little what we were getting with Darren as he had enjoyed considerable success with his previuos clubs.
 2.

Roeder said that we will not recognise the "new" squad, for him not to have his pants on fire there must be a lot more to come surely?
We certainly won''t recognise the new squad as he is signing players many of us have never set eyes on...
Who really knew what Ched Evans was all about before he came here? And look what we think about him now! Don''t judge a player before you''ve seen him a few times!
So if we are not to judge a player before we see him why oh why do we have to keep listening to you lot telling us every player signed is class and an improvement when they most certainly are not .
That''s a good point. Alan Gow a Scotland B international and Rangers reserve team player - I suppose that''s better than being a C international.

 4. Doomy certainly likes to promulgate the impression of a skint little ''ol Norwich, the boring four-eyed wonder. Forget all about ambition, think only of the beloved prudence. Or Dear Prudence as The Beatles would have it.
 5.

theyve got £3.5m from the sale of Lafferty. Which in its self is ridiculous for an average championship striker.
I''d have to agree with that. He''s decent but nothing special. Seems a bit overrated.
I personally thought John Hartson - was massively overeated......[pi][B]
Trying so hard to be witty and the center of attention, he''s breaking all the laws of grammar and even coining new words. Bless!
I bet he can spell CENTRE correctly, though. Unless, of course, you are American which would explain a lot.
 6. Good riddance to a meathead with all the skills of a carthorse. Usually Dutch people are good eggs, but that is one Dutchman who''s an unpleasant arrogant peasant.
 7.

I''m undecided, but it''s fairly clear to me that he is having huge difficulty in finding new recruits for his squad. All this stuff about "don''t panic yet" is spin and flannel. He''s putting on a brave face - believe me. Six weeks to go until the big kick off and one new face. Brilliant!
Oh right and we are at Friday again are we?  Blimey this week flew past, there I was sitting looking at your post on Monday, and by the end of it, it was suddenly Friday, the end of another week and no more transfers.........................oh wait lol nope It is Monday, the week has only just started.  And the biggest non-shocker of them all, another poster predicting that we wont have anyone signed by the start of the season. LMAO I''m sorry, but you can''t predict what''s going to happen anymore than I can.  [:)] I admit that in past seasons that some of the fans have felt pretty let down by the Board and Managers, however we now have a new manager with a new approach who can attract good players to our club, so give the guy a chance. I am sure in a few weeks you will be more than eating your downhearted words.  Or I will be eating mine, either way in the grand scheme of things it''s not going to alter the fact that we are NCFC supporters through good and bad.
What words do I have to eat mate? All I''ve said is there are six weeks to go and there has not been much action so far - a fact which is undeniable. I shall be delighted (what true fan wouldn''t be) if he manages to nail down all his transfer targets, but it looks to me as though he''s struggling a bit at the moment, that''s all.

 9.
And now, me being a muppet, I have realised there is a thread about this already, ignore me, it''s late!
Don''t worry mate, with every topic relating to NCFC being done to death on here, it''s nigh on impossible to avoid repetition and duplication at times. I''ve just done it myself this very morning by starting a new thread on the policing of Norwich v scum games.
 10. Sorry, on a second look at the topic titles I see this has already been covered. I couldn''t be bothered to wade through reams and reams of topic titles and so missed it on 1st glance. Damn! - it''s nearly impossible to come up with anything original as regards NCFC at the moment as there is so little happening - good or bad!
 11. I apologise if this topic has been covered already since the new fixture list appeared - I know it has been covered a fair bit in past seasons, but I feel the subject is important enough to look at again. Anyway, does the East Anglian derby really need to be played at such ridiculous times? I think I''m right in saying that potentially explosive fixtures such as Liverpool v Everton, Man U v Man City, Sheff Weds v Sheff U and Arsenal v Spurs are played at normal times, leaving aside the requirements of the Sky TV schedule of course. So if the police forces of the respective areas that these clubs are situated in can cope without any trouble, why can''t the Norfolk and Suffolk constabulary do the same? We need a few thousand letters from Norfolk and Suffolk people asking the police to consider normal kick off times for one season. If this resulted in increased hooliganism, then we would have to put up with unconventional kick off times for evermore. One would hope that fans would realise this and make a special effort to behave themselves.
 12. If I was the Doc, I would be off like a shot now that Roeder has been so patronising about his intelligence. If Mr Roeder didn''t intend to be patronising, then he is the thick one.
 13.
Have to agree with Canary Chris - the keeper went off in stoppage time and it was at least 2 minutes before the game restarted, followed by another stoppage of half-a-minute. The ref only added 70 seconds to the original 4 minutes - another 2 minutes should have been played. As the Turks had just shown, a lot can happen in two minutes! I do admire their fighting spirit - great comeback - but Czechs weren''t given the time to reply and it was time wasted by the ref, not the Turks!
Does your avatar show you after too many pints of Hopback Summer Lightning, Fat Barman?
 14. Or even scHoolboy blunder. See, everybody makes mistakes!
 15. You have to wonder what the outcome would have been if Petr Cech hadn''t made that appalling blunder, though. I think the Czechs would have hung on. That scoolboy blunder from their normally excellent keeper seemed to knock all the wind out of their sails.
 16. Who''s going? I might do as I''ve never been to the Ricoh Arena.
 17. One things for certain, if we had qualified, the best we could have expected to do with the quality shown by some of these very good teams would have been to finish fourth. Maybe it''s a good thing we were put out of our misery early, before the tournament proper began. I''m actually enjoying most of the games I''ve watched.
 18. Clones? Isn''t that the town/village that Barry McGuigan hails from?
 19. I like good old 1st Wizard myself, and you could say my name is a tribute to the original and best Wizard rather than a parody. Oh, and I have used several names since I first started posting on this board , so I don''t think I lack the imagination to dream up my own name and I doubt if any of the other "Wizards" do either. I certainly wouldn''t ever consider using a Columbian footballer''s name, anyway. How naff is that??
 20. I believe Darren Huckerby''s still available, and I have it on good authority that he''s a bit of a fan of Norwich City as well!
 21.
"All too often, the last element is missing, he says. "At Towergate, we have appointed a head of fun who organises social and sporting events. You need to carry your people with you to ensure that they feel connected."" Neil Doncaster, anyone?
Ha ha ha, I like it Mister Chops!
