  1. Balls is just a professional misery, who loves the attention. He spent much of the late 1990s moaning about the state of the club, being silenced by the success of 2002 onwards. After a few years he was back, casting gloom around him, comparing City unfavourably to Wigan. And then, his oh-so-public Season Ticket surrender, conducted via social media.
  2. He also stated publicly that Farke was not a coach who could take NCFC to promotion. As others have stated, stopped clocks and all that.
  3. Why are we taking the view that all of this season's media rights income will go towards paying down debt?
  4. You are mentioned because you climbed all over someone who suggested that the accounts were not "up to scratch" There is more than one other poster who feels that the accounts are badly presented (possibly even below code)
  5. @Branston Pickle More criticism of how the Accounts have been presented, this time from @shefcanary: "The detail disclosed on Attanasio's loans and the other short term loans falls well below what the Financial Reporting Council would expect. I don't know if this deliberate or a **** up."
  6. It is not a red herring. The debt will not be cleared by this season's parachute / player profits. And the Maddison money was probably 'sold' as part of the pre-Attanasio loan agreement Without promotion, this time next season there will still be a pretty big debt, requiring further player sales.
  7. That is a laughably glass half-empty view. Recruitment is not just about making a profit., or are you suggesting that Pukki, Krul, Zimmerman (and many others) were not a success?
  8. There are plenty of occasions where figures published by NCFC [either via the accounts or docs regarding shareholding issues] have proved to be wrong. And there are plenty of other posters who have raised this issue previously.
  9. Man Utd & Newcastle your two "favorite" away grounds? And the sense of unity at CR? Reads like AI-generated nonsense.
  10. I think "cornered" is really unfair, as it implies that D&M have been suckered. They know how rare a decent owner is, and they know that a decent owner with an emotional / local connection is even rarer. I suspect that D&M have been overly cautious about new investment because they know would be blamed if it went wrong (see Chase) They think that the Attanasio regime will be a continuation but will never be 110% sure.
  11. Here's a short list of NCFC players. See if you can spot the theme: Krul, Leitner, Trybull, Ruddy, McVeigh, Polston, Bowen, Crook, Culverhouse, Gunn (Sr), Hartford, Channon, Van Wijk, Deehan, Watson, Peters*, MacDougall, Keelan* and KEN FOGGO!
  12. Being not good enough for one team is absolutely no barrier to being a success elsewhere (Krul? Trybull?). As for taking the opinion of other fans as an objective indicator of talent and/or ability....
  13. Sara' s goal on Saturday was beating Meslier at his near post!
  14. Is your view of Long based on just one, 60-min outing? How do you think he did at Bristol? Regarding other options, Barden & St Paul are injured with McCracken, Mair, Reyes & Rose currently out on loan. As for the young GKs who are fit & available, they have no first-team experience and, I would guess, would only suffer if asked to perform in front of fans who are so keen to criticise every single failing.
  15. That man (Frederick Jex) is why children in Norwich attended the Blyth Jex School (or Alderman Jex School). I think he's the one with round specs, fourth from the right.
  16. Rofl. You state "Chase never had anything remotely so systematic" [selling of players just to balance the books] and then you cite Fox &,Sutton (both sold by Chase) to support your view. Couldn't make it up (though you try to)
  17. Three days ago you were stating that before D&M the club's Selling Culture was nowhere as aggressive, yet here you are plainly contradicting yourself! Couldn't make it up (though you try to)
  18. Without the ITV Digital problems I suspect the Securitisation loan might have £10m (not £15m), and therefore less of a millstone?
  19. Chase was not the design visionary you believe him to be. Both stand replacements of his era were forced upon NCFC (by fire & by all-seater requirements). [Your view that D&M have done nothing to improve Carrow Rd has already been corrected] The idea that Chase was justified in taking management fees is laughable. Already lining his pockets with emoluments (being an early departure from the notion that Directors give their time freely) he chose to double-dip, at a time when NCFC was financially on its knees.
  20. No inside knowledge, as such, but Rose has been first choice for Cheshunt since mid-July! I suppose it could be a half-season deal but, if I'm being honest, a full-season loan to this level is often a signal of the Exit door coming into view.
  21. Between 1992 & 1994 Chase hoovered up around 10% of the fully allotted shares, presumably by approaching individuals like yourself (and offering a pittance!)
  22. Joe Rose is on a Season-Long Loan at Cheshunt. But it's a secret, so don't tell anyone! 😀 Tom D-P is on a short-term loan at Woking (to Oct 26) And I'm gonna be 'that' guy.... 23. Here's some history: Oct 1984: Main Stand burned down. At this point Chase was a Director (& largest shareholder) but Arthur South was Chairman Sept 1985: Tender for replacement stand accepted from R G Carter. The new stand was to cost almost exactly what the insurance payout had been. Sept 1985: Jimmy Jones resigned from the Board, protesting that selection of Carter had been done without "proper financial prudence". [There may also have been a personal relationship between Arthur South & 'widow' Carter at the time] Nov 1985: Contract for new stand signed with Carter. Jones then called for an EGM and, as a result, the entire Board resigned. Dec 1985: A new Board was proposed. This excluded South but included Chase, Jimmy Jones & Roger Munby. Jan 1986: The new Board was voted in by shareholders. The Board voted Chase as Chairman. [Details sourced from 'The Archive', by James Woodrow. Every serious City fan should own a copy]
