1. Hopefully we have a few break through and we then have time to build a side around them, before they are sold.
 2. Ask Southampton fans if they want to swap owners ....
 3.

Good investors will want a return on their investment and the only way to do that is to leave a club in a better position and that is achieved by mainly improving the position on the pitch. I do not believe good owners would refused to even look at potential investment offers if they had the best interests of my club at heart.
"There''s the rub."How do we make sure that we get "good investors?" The number of "good investors" is greatly exceeded by investors that are not good.Investors, quite understandably wish to maximise their return and minimise their risk: given the volatility of football and its finances, it is not a straightforward investment and often attracts less straightforward investors. the obvious thing that investors would do is to secure their investment against the clubs assets - which is what many do. For example, they transfer the ground to separate companies. The other things that successful football investors tend to do is charge significant rates of interest for their loans to the club - e.g Gold and Sullivan charge 7% on their loans to West Ham. It is estimated that they will have made £26 million on their loans.
Well if Delia and co are as good as you say, it should not be a problem for them.... Failing that a thing called due diligence...
 4.
Three wins out of three so far, against top opposition from lower leagues. I get the feeling some of the doom-mongers will be changing course very soon.
Laugh out loud silly... Pre season form is as much an indication of the season to come as it is likely that Naismith will end up at Real Madrid😂 Ps hope you are right though
 5.
Don''t believe this nonsense for one minute - Farke can''t manage him simple as. He''ll be gone soon enough
Other managers have tried and failed. Would be interested to see if his being back nearly a week late was with the agreement of the club or not. If he was 100% motivated you would have thought he would want to be in at the start.... So annoying as he should be a real theat in this league but just sulks too much for me..
 6.
I agree that it can be a little tedious GP, but nonetheless revealing. It is amazing the number of posters on here who genuinely believe that all we need is a new owner and everything would be alight despite all the evidence to the contrary.Yes if we could get some super-rich fan or patron, but "investors" have a very poor success rate, because fundamentally they are hoping to take money out of the club. It would be nice to have someone that had sufficient money to put something in, without expecting a return, but failing that a neutral situation is a better hope for long-term success.
Good investors will want a return on their investment and the only way to do that is to leave a club in a better position and that is achieved by mainly improving the position on the pitch. 7.

Cardiff and Fulham are in the premiership last time I looked... History is a great thing but the future is what is most important. Hoping the "revolution we all wanted" is a success. Still easier to do within investment as any business CEO will tell you.
Not sure that any business CEO would tell me that, Mike. British industry is notoriously reluctant to invest and has very low investment. (Incidentally this shows the silliness of the UK''s ultra low Corporation tax, which despite what the govt says does NOT encourage investment.)A recent report from the ONS shows that the UK''s investment was the lowest of any OECD nation in the last 20 years."Between Quarter 1 1997 and Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2017, the UK had the lowest average value of GFCF as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP) of any Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) nation."GFCF = gross fixed capital formation = investmenthttps://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/grossdomesticproductgdp/articles/aninternationalcomparisonofgrossfixedcapitalformation/2017-11-02
Successful businesses invest and have sufficient cash flow not to have to sell key assets to buy other assets.
 8.
Maddison went to Aberdeen, but the SPL does seem a good place to go on loan for fast and furious football, even if it isn;t quite at championship standard.
Yes I know he went to Aberdeen, my point was he will get experience and playing team in the same league and it did Maddison no harm
 9. Did Maddison no harm so hopefully will help Phillips in his development too...
 10. Cardiff and Fulham are in the premiership last time I looked... History is a great thing but the future is what is most important. Hoping the "revolution we all wanted" is a success. Still easier to do within investment as any business CEO will tell you.
 11. I guess this season is all about the balance of the team and how Farke makes this far more interesting and positive than last year. Happy with Marshall and Rhodes as proven at this level, just hope the other lads are more Trybull (without the injuries) and less Franke / Srybeny
 12. Statues of himself that make us laugh out loud
 13. We sign people with no experience of this league but potential, people on here are elated, sign a striker with over a 100 goals at this level, people are spectical... It''s a weird world these days. Hope it works out as I do the other signings.
 14.

We should be eternally grateful to Delia whatever. Has anyone mentioned she saved us yet?
Only you.Personally, I''m not interested in the past but the future. I would love a billionaire fan to take us over a la Brighton, but don''t think that this is very likely. I don''t know if any of our fans have the wealth of a Coates of Stoke, Bloom of Brighton etc.I would be very concerned about us being an investment vehicle for someone looking to make a profit from us - as there is a great risk if the main criteria is profit rather than the club''s long term health. Too often this involves a sh*t or bust gamble on promotion, which if unsuccessful, leaves the club saddled with debt, whilst the owners try to get rid of the club and/ or minimise losses.
Investment opportunity? Did I read we asked for £5m in return for a healthy return recently? No.... Ps Leicester, Cardiff, Fulham,....
 15. Pointless post, as I could give examples of really good owners who have spent money. It''s about choosing the right investor not between an investor or no investment.
 16. Really do not get articles on ex players such as Gunn... Left to join Man City despite being "one of our own", came back had a decent season and because of that he is now looking to get another bigger role... Bear him no malice but not interested one bit where he ends up...
 17.

Rhodes will be as bored as Nelson was and wonder why he ever considered moving here. His best hope is that Farke will be sacked by November and the club will install a manager that actually recognises centre forwards.
I''m quoting you just so you feel like you''ve received some attention. You''re one of those trolls people just ignore, and I sympathise with you.
The service the forwards received last season was diabolical. Farke''s tactics simply do not work, so it is reasonable to suggest that Rhodes will be better suited by a manager who understands that the last third of the pitch is where the game is won or lost. Farke''s style of football has got the club absolutely nowhere.
Actually I think we created a fair bit last year we just did not put them away...
 18.
I remain very meh. Must say though, lots of credit for Webber and his team so far in getting deals done early and addressing positions of need- very efficient.
They have got numbers in agreed, remains to be see if they are any good... Happy with Rhodes if it comes off, proven at this level.
 19. Has scored loads in this division unlike our current strikers. Yes from me but I reckon it will not happen as we will not pay the going rate.
 20. Plus nailed on to score against them...
 21. Yep... proven striker at this level, had a couple of tough years but get his confidence back... 20 goal a season man.
 22. Quiet day, paper needs to find stories to drive traffic and keep advertising revenue up so hears a rumour and prints the story... move on
 23. Liked Reid... great attitude.. pity we are not getting him back.
