1. Hoolahan for Me, simply because without him we havent got the same spark..we''ve not been at our best without him recently; his class is showing in his abscence. 1) Hoolahan 2) Forster 3) Holt
2. Good idea..although i would have preffered it to be this Saturday! The final game is about the players; the player of the year; the lap of honour..which is for EVERYONE.. HAving PL day this week wouldnt then detract from that.
3. I''m group 3; and like someone said didnt think i''d stand a chance of getting a ticket. As it is i almost ceretainly cant go. If there was still something riding on it i''m sure we would still have been able to sell the 1800 at least twice over!
4. Memo to self: Proof read before posting...the above post looks like its been written by a GCSE GRADE F English Student!
5. the serious bit first..Gunn was totally out of his depth; anyone who disagrees is kidding themselves; secondly, with Gunn in charge we certainly wouldnt be going up automatically!..but thirdly..we should be happy, see the funny side... Without the Col Utd debacle the club may would not have been able to orchestrate such a rewmarkable turnaround, and have the ammunition quickly enough to bite the bullet & implement changes that had been neede for 3 years... However, we''vwe got away with it; we''ll cme back stronger than before, so no more sour grapes with Gunny please. Even i, one of his biggest critics, wouldnt begrudge a little, Bryan Gunn chant coming out of the barclay on saturday...all together now... Bryan Gunn, Bryan Gunn, Bryan Bryan Gunn!
6. The bloke behind me at Leyton Orient; shouting the C word at ryan Jarvis EVERY time he got near the ball... got very repetative, and all seemed rather pointless and unneccesary! Theres always been a few people behind me (probably late 60''s, early 70''s), who just go on about there shopping; and seem oblivious to the names of any norwich players, with 1 younger women who seems to be put out at having to even be there! I will listen out for some of their classics on saturday!
7. you perhaps dont appreciate how loud our end was untill you here from your point of view...it was rocking!! How did you get tickets in the Charlton end? Were there many other city fans around you?
8. Oh dear oh dear! Awful Performance which has left the nerves jangling ever so slighlty ahead of a tough game on Saturday! Without Holt & Hoolahan we lack the spark needed to frequently unlock any back line in this league; so we need to all keep are fingers crossed and pray to high heavens that our little irishman is fit come Saturday afternoon! Despite that lack of spark, any sort of solid defensive display would have got us a result. Unfortunately Messrs Nelson & Martin had their weaknesses well and truly eposed by a anny Orient! Tonight showed why Hartlepool & peterborough waved them goodbye with little fight. I feel a freshen up is needed; get Spillane in at right back hope askou or ak is fit to replae Nelson & fit Hughes into a more solid looking midfield. Orient itself an odd looking ground; the away stand reminded me of the one at Selhurst Park; falling down! The seats were deckhair like (about 6 inches off the ground)..luckily there wasnt alot of sitting! To top it off, i paid £2.80 for possibly the worst cheese burger in the world inside the ground...and was slowly cooked by the radiator on the canary bus on the way home... Roll On Charlton On Saturday...and 06.20 hours this morning when the alarm goes...
9. They are falling away one by one..Charlton''s defeat Saturday ended thre hopes of catching us..and Swindons draw tonight ends theres. Although they have an easy looking run in we would only need 3 points if they took 12 from 12. That leaves Leeds & Millwall; 2 wins will do it (bar a stupid goal difference change) ...and if we get one tomorrow any kind of result at the valley could well seal it officially. I wouldnt put much money on a Millwall / Leeds double tomorrow night and even less on millwalls trip to Huddersfield on friday evening.
10. Tickets arrived today! Leyton Orient & Charlton here i come!!
11. I think Hoolahan is beginning to get the recognition he''s deserved all season, now that its so blatantly clear we miss him! Against Stockport on monday, we missed his calmness on the ball and his creativity; i couldn''t go yesterday but by all accounts more of the same! I''m slightly concerned that Leyton Orient & Charlton will be very difficult games if Hoolahan joins Holt on the sidelines.
12. Same for me..No tickets yet, no letter either Luckily i have one for Orient on tuesday though!
13. I''d rather have Chrissy Martin than Lita anyway!
14. Try counting the passes from col who..then you can understand the lack of interest From the 30th to 40th minute there best spell of possesion was two passes..wasn''t hard to count!
15. not to mention Gunn not picking any of the midfeild three that have been so crucial for us.. Darrel Russel Korey Smith & The King of Spain!
16. ..i''m sure the lack of one will add more fire to Mcnally''s belly; Really is anawful newspaper, paid a £1, to get to 10 pages abouyt John Terry & a kiss and tell regarding Michael Buble!
17. perhaps a dvd to commemorate the occaison or just a copy of the football league show highlights sent to Mr Cowlings desk..it''s the least we can do after their offical ''magnificent seven'' dvd. I''m sure we can make it viable by including a few clips of lambert as a Norwich Manager; and a few of Cowlings Miserable rants, finished with Delia Smith saying, "Colchester United...what a lot of old Sh*t!''
18. while we are on the subject of missing persons.. has anyone seen or heard Robbie Cowling since around 4.45 this afternoon...i hope he''s ok as he''s been so noticeable recently i find his disappearance totally out of character!
19. Any more thoughts on the subject of Chrissy Martin, GJP & Others.. Sign up Chris Martin quickly Messers lambert & mcnally. Super Chris is beginning to really prove to everyone what a good player he is, he has the potential to go a long way. I may be biased, but he''s definatly a more clinical finisher than Beckford who is supposedly the best thing since sliced bread, and closer to home (albeit a different style of player); if you compare him with Holty he''s the more natural finisher. Martin wouldnt look out of place in our championship (fingers crossed0 team next season...and maybe beyond!
20. 1) You''ve probably not pleased your manager, as the garbage that has came out of your mouth; in reality has helped inspire Lambert & Norwich to todays win. 2) In your desperate attempt to get fans to the game; the miracle of the full house, will be a distant memory. Those extra fans who did respond to your childish crys (the ones who werent canaries!), probably wont be back in a hurry after that hammering and 3), most fittingly..after all the attention you''ve put on the game, how you wanted to win it so so badly, it''s only right that the whole of the country have the chance to see this footballing ''grudgematch''. So well done mr Cowling, and enjoy watching the footballleague show, you''ll find your game is the main feature...Little Tin Pot Colchester Come unstuck....oh dear oh dear oh dear...you just couldnt right it... I''m sure Mr C has learnt his lesson and may go into hiding for a few days, with considerably less appearances in the press..anyway, he will have far more important matters being a tinpot chairman, of a SMALL club, with very little support... East Anglian Rivals...don''t make me laugh; Col Who?
21. Main game according to the information button on sky!
22.
Cowling gis us a wave and cowling cowlong whats the score too... perhaps start waving £5 notes at him whilst chanting "compenastion *clap clap* compensation"
Love it!!
23. Martin is a class Act, and will go on (as long as attitude remains has it has been this season) to be a very succesful footballer; and i just hope that is with Norwich. He''s not just a great finisher, but a very neat, clever player who hasn''t had the credit that his performances have deserved this season! Believe me it would cost more money than we have to find as good an all round player as Martin, and losing him would be a travesty. Remember when he burst onto the scene 3 years ago, eveyone was talking about him; and not totally unsuprised when he was linked with Man utd, that player is now back and it''s about time he got the praise he deserved. I agree Gissing, Russel is also a must; but Doherty is a proven liability in the Championship and i wouldn''t be anywhere near as gutted if he left if we got promoted...(though, i admit, this season he has done a bloody good joB!)
