Sheffield Utd didn't buy a whole new team, loaned in key positions and came 2nd. Burnley's loans were also responsible for 27 goals and 17 assists. Literally half a dozen posters have explained the rationale and justification for loan signings over the past six months, myself included. Wacky has done so just five posts above the one of yours I've quoted. It's like you have amnesia to anything that doesn't match your own views. Really quite shameful.

Or indeed the last side in the championship that did not have a loaner? A quick look over a big list of every championship transfer shows not only did all championship teams make a loan signing during the last summer window but all but three added loan signings in January too. If Ged's view on loanees is shared by any other fan of any other championship team, I'd be pretty shocked.

This is a really good test. Clearly better than anything we've faced thus far. Giannoulis I've noticed a couple of times being caught out. Given the ball away more than once. Appreciate he's having to mark Poku, one of Europe's real rising stars, but does still concern me. McLean not as bad as Giannoulis, but has also been a bit circumspect. Has misplaced a short pass or two. But otherwise quite impressed - well, was until that ridiculous back header from Duffy 😂. Stacey looks really good.

GOODBYE MR WEBBER

Christ you've quickly become a condescending ****. I know, I know - pot, kettle, black. Takes one to know one. Etc etc Difference is you're also wrong. Cullen would be an excellent replacement if the board are considering moving back to an all powerful managing director (eg David McNally style). This would be real interesting, given Wagner is a head coach. Suddenly we'd have need for a manager again. Or maybe we want to divest positions even further, as some of the larger teams have done, having an executive director that deals with the facilities, appointments, staff etc and a "head of recruitment" - something we're seeing pop up in the bigger teams. Again, interesting around Wagner - would be retain superiority over the head of recruitment? Parity? Either way - you'll have to try a bit harder with your eye rolling condescension Yobocop, my old son. -
Kamara to Pompey on loan
Terminally Yellow replied to dylanisabaddog's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Maybe. I sometimes think we miss the benefit of just being in a squad, competing with others to be involved rather than just in the background here. It's still a valuable experience for the lad, particularly at a club like Pompey. -
Genuinely think Sargent can do the job. But not without a couple of players who can better supply the ammo.

"Remoaners". Here we go with the right wing nut job language. If you can't beat them, label them. Its laughable and so predictable. I get it. I know supporters of Brexit jump on any single sliver of positivity to justify their hopeless position to themselves. "Yay look at us signing pointless ineffective trade deals". "Let's go back to Imperial, that'll show how much we've taken back control!". "Blue passports! It's just like the 70s". The truth is much harder to accept when you have to look at the faces of the generations to come and try to explain why you took a decision that has cost them greater financial security and contributed greatly to this country quickly becoming a pale of the economic, political and social leader it was at the turn of this millennium.

Now is the time to go and get Gregg Broughton and bring him in as Stuart Webber's replacement. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jon-dahl-tomasson-blackburn-rovers-30480683 And while you're at it, get him to bring Jon Dahl Tomasson with him.

£800m a week. £400 to each household. The loss of billions to an economy flattened further by a pandemic and a cost of living crisis brought on by a vicious evil dictator in Moscow. If I were you - and anyone still pedalling the fantasy of Brexit being anything but an unmitigated disaster - I'd be unable to sleep at night. Shame on you.

Three quotes from 2010, 1988 and 1991. **** me what an idiot you are.

What a ****ing callous thing to say. Do you think an NHS on its knees think it's "just" £40bn? Do you know how many times over that would replace the QE Hospital in Kings Lynn? Do you know how many lives that having a proper, fully functioning hospital would save - rather than operating from a broken shell as it is now? What about public services like the courts and police? Do you think it's "just" £40bn to them? Unable to serve and protect the public in the under funded, devalued state they're in now. Teachers, doctors, rail staff, nurses - how many of them could get a meaningful pay rise with "just" £40bn lost to this country by the stupidity of Brexit? And what about our military? Faced with the biggest threat to national security since the cold war and with reports they have barely the equipment and ammunition to last over ten days of fighting - do you think they think it's "just" £40bn? It's absolutely a cliff edge to the people that £40bn would have benefitted in one way or another. But yeah. It's alright to write off £40bn because at least we've got our sovereignty, is it? **** right off.

Rule Britannia, the land of low expectations. What a wonderful tag line that is. Makes you want to vomit when you think just how much my children and grandchildren have lost because a minority of people in this country can't understand what a **** idea this was always going to be. £40bn worth of economic loss Brexit has cost. And yet so many of the Brexit, flag waving idiots are holding up this (worth just £1.8bn over 10 years by the government's own assessment) as an example of the opportunity Brexit has brought. Absolute ****.

"Another major Brexit benefit" And yeah - what a fantastic boost this latest trade agreement is! A trade agreement with a bloc of countries we already have trade deals with - except for just one nation. Yawn.

OT - Declan Rice, an astronomical fee

Just done a rather loud swear because I've seen that Riyad Mahrez is moving to Saudi Arabia. For £86 MILLION. What the actual ****.
