1.
on my posts everyone is moaning with what i am saying about roeder let me clear it up i rate him as a manger beleive he will do good job for you not great job but a good job i just cant understand how your saying he is the best manager in the league as someone said and how he is rated above people like mccarthy, mowbray dowie etc.. he could quite well be on par with those but im saying he needs to prove it as he hasnt by winning promotions, or doing good job at whu, and his spell newcastle went pearshaped i dont want replies i just want you lot to LISTEN I LIKE ROEDER, I BELIEVE HE IS DOING GOOD JOB FOR THE CLUB, but dont get carried away thank you for listening
So remind me again, how many promotions has Mowbray achieved? They may be flying atm but didnt another west mids club famously capitulate at the tail end of the season and get knocked out the play offs by the mighty yellas?ON top of that, how many of the aforementioned (Dowie, Mowbray, Mccarthy) have actually steered two crisis hit clubs to seventh in the premier league?Dont get me wrong, i have no axe to grind with you we8wba, but this is a stupid post.
 2.

am i the only one supporting floyd? i know mayweather is brash and arrogant, but im sure if you''d made $200million after growing up in the projects and seeing your mother on drugs and your dad shot, then you would be slightly pleased with yourself.Like him or not, you cannot deny he is one of the greatest pound for pound fighters in this generation. To rise up from the streets, a life that could so easily followed in his jailed father, or junkie mother''s footsteps (source - Mayweather interview Skysports, Daily mirror etc) and to turn yourself into a world champion boxer in FIVE different weight classes...that is something pretty spectacular.Ricky Hatton has not got what it takes, mentally or physically. Mayweather is stronger, technically better, with a greater reach and importantly, he is calm. we have all seen the benefits of competing with a relaxed attitude recently a little closer to home i think?!Hatton however, has the chance to make himself a hero. He will never have the success Mayweather has but could come close to the riches, as the rumoured prize for the winner of this bout is a superfight with Oscar De La Hoya. How can a Brit support a yank..... fighting a Brit. Ever heard of loyalty ?   [:(] Bet you''ve got a Manure shirt on your christmas list !   [:)] From  a personal point of view, I think Mayweather is tops but ANY fighter can be beaten and I just hope that Ricky can do it on the night. C,mon Ricky !!!
I''m Polish mate. I''m sorry but i have much more respect for Mayweather, he is an excellent competitor in his chosen profession anyone anyone who can make themselves into a multi-millionaire after the start he had in life deserves it. Mayweather is intelligent and articulate, sorry to say it but i just can''t see one iota of intelligence emanating from Hatton.Which is why I think he will lose on Saturday. Mayweather is an intelligent man and an intelligent fighter, I''m sure Mr Hatton, who keeps such calibre of friends as Wayne Rooney, will succumb to Mayweather and be outfought mentally as well as physically.Hatton is more of a self-absorbed showman than Mayweather. Many will take issue with this statement I''m sure, but Floyd spent his thanksgiving feeding 600 poor families, I haven''t seen this sort of charity from the seemingly god-like Hatton who can do no wrong.Mayweather may talk trash, but in case you hadn''t noticed, another competitor in THAT fight on Sun has also started trash talking. he goes by the name of Ricky Hatton.

 4. great analysis of Roeder''s reign so far on Cheepshot.co.uk.... http://www.clubfanzine.com/norwich_city/showNews.php?id=6312
 5. Who is going down? Les dennis has done nothing for years, things he''s lost it, Bruce Forsyth is surely on the down (six feet down) soon, And Paris Hilton is probably going down as we speak - the dvd will be on ebay next week.Oh yeah and Smudger will be going down.....to Carrow Road.......On his own......to shout at windows......and bricks......whilst everyone looks at him bewildered as to how anyone can be so foolish.......
 6.
hahahahahaha keep the jokes coming guys you''re cracking me up!!!
Right i''m about to do something i have never done before. advocate a round of applause for smudger. why i hear you ask? because after 14months he drags something out, treats it as new material and laughs his little heart out, bless him.ALMOST as much as i laugh, when i think about him sat all alone at his little protest, Everything is better with hindsight isn''t it smudge? like clearly you would have been better off sitting at home and wandering if anyone had shown up to protest, rather than realising you''re the only moron who doesn''t think roeder is doing a good job.
 7.

I don''t really want to get involved in this stupid protest business, as I''m in New York, and even if I were local, I wouldn''t dignify it with my presence, but am I reading the refernced post above correctly?  Is he actually rooting for Plymouth to beat NCFC because no one showed up for his little "march."  So now its not only the board he wants out, its the team, the players, the whole lot...?  All because people showed some heart and supported their team. This guy needs therapy, or at least a hug, it seems. No need to kick him while he''s down and I don''t think he could sink any lower.
I ain''t down you yank fool... Am laughing at all you fools that blindy lead the blind in to one error of judgement after another. Nothing learnt from the recent escapades of messers Worthy and Grant... TAKE 3... roll the Roeder comedy show!!!  [:D]
Surely the comedy show is that you tried to organise a protest, failed miserably, and STILL showed up to protest alone, very quietly it would seem, whilst 25 000 others went and watched the mighty Norwich win?!Is act2 a bit of slapstick, with you blindly groping around, trying to find a reason Roeder has done a bad job? when he has already more than doubled our points total, taken us from 5points clear bottom, off the foot of the table, and hitting a bit of form....not to mention his Pulis comments, which were genius. But clearly he is not as intelligent as mighty smudger, sitting in his throne, king of one-man-protest-land!!
 8.

Just been on e-soccer.com which updates every5mins with anything containing NCFC news from around 30 000 sources - according to a variety of these sources it appears that Lee Martin is out for them tomorrow - did his hamstring again apparently, i hope im right in thinking hes the one who tore us apart a couple of weeks ago?By the way - the link for e-soccer''s Norwich page - http://www.e-soccer.com/news/news_f.aspx?CategoryID=191
Good news? Wouldn''t you rather see the best possible football?
Of course i would - but I''d also like to see Norwich pick up all 3points and i feel we have a better chance without him in their side!
 9.
It''s about time the booers got behind the team as proper football people will realise the game is about confidence more than anything else, yes you need ability but if you don''t encourage and support the team they''ll either hide or lose there passion which we''ve seen since relegation from the premiership.Agreed not everyone likes and suppports delia but it''s time to get behind the team and the manager who by the way i wasn''t happy with but the more i see him do his job the more i like him,but back them cos delia will back him in january and this club will be back on the way up slowly but surely. It takes time to build a good side but i truly believe we''re on the way but it takes us to help aswell.
Muppet. I dont normally take to booing. but after the WBA and wolves games, i did boo, because the players were bloody pathetic and i wasted £25 to watch us have 1 shot at goal (which went out for a throw in!!) at wolves, and a gutless passionless performance at WBA. I was at Stoke on sat and we lost, but we showed, passion, commitment, and desire and thus the team were applauded from the pitch by all of our support without a boo to be heard. I think you will also find that since GR has taken charge, the boos have been non-existant and i feel that if anyone is attention seeking it is you, creating a post and an argument based on events from over a month ago. The boos you heard prior to GR''s appointment were probably to do with the S**t we were being served up as reward for parting with our hard-earned cash to watch players, who earn more in a week than most of us do in a month, prance about and not show any desire to win the match and show no pride to wear the shirt many of us would do anything to get the opportunity to wear; as opposed to any protest at Delia as im sure most of us are aware that booing after a game will be taken by the players to be directed at them, as that is logical. What you appear to be saying, in the form of an analogy is that if you go and see a band who are awful and just dont look like they are bothered, (Amy Winehouse is a recent example) that the crowd booing after the performance should be assumed to be directed at the Record company and the people who pay the inflated salaries.Grow up and stop trying to create friction and arguments on here when there are none to be and there is actually quite a positive vibe around this club at the moment.
 10. Would be a great signing - we were also linked with Izale Mcleod as he isnt getting a game at Charlton - that is according to either NOTW or the People though!! lol

 12. Right, we lost 2-1.We played well, and showed a lot of spirit. The football we played in the first half was fantastic....It was like watching the promotion season again! Our fans were good, great atmosphere although it did get a bit quiet towards end of first half! And there was a good number of us, i don''t know how many exactly but there felt like maybe 1200?! Stoke fans are Scum. I got called a "W****R" twice on my way to the train station - once by a grown bloke with a little kid (about 7 or 8) with him and once by a 13/14 year old girl, just because i was wearing my Norwich shirt. In the ground their fans were silent til they scored the winner. ("We only hate hate Stoke, Wolves and Ipswich"???)  Our boys outsung them all game, not much of a challenge but even when they scored the winner. There were a couple of choruses of "Glenn Roeder''s green and yella army", and i even heard "walking in a Roeder wonderland"!! Everyone appears united behind GR and i personally think he is the right man at the right time and hopefully its onwards and upwards! We played well and looked very good going forward - i was expecting to lose but was more concerned about the manner in which we did so. Stoke are a huge physical team - lots of poor tackles and they were lucky not to have one or two sent off! mainly for second bookables rather than awful tackles. Defensively we always looked fallible and we were clueless when defending set-pieces. In fairness it was a very entertaining game, and although we ripped them apart first half, we could easily have conceded 4 or 5 but for some great defending from Shacks especially, and Marshall being in fantastic form.On the balance of chances i think Stoke deserved to win it and could have had about 3 penalties - one from Docherty''s handball being the most blatant, how that was given i will never know!!! but we did not shame ourselves at all - Players were committed and really had a good go at Stoke, they gave it 100% and you can''t ask more than that. The most pleasing aspect of the game was the passing football and movement off the ball. It genuinely is a different team to the one i saw a month or so ago at West Brom - they look revitalised and it was good to see Hucks performing to his abilities again! On the basis of recent performances and the faith, confidence and belief Roeder is instilling in players, fans and the club in general - i can honestly say i can''t see us going down - we would have beaten many teams performing like we did yesterday. WELCOME BACK PASSING FOOTBALL!!   Marshall - Four World Class saves, I had been losing faith but he redeemed himself - he was excellent - 9 Doc - Passing was poor and gave away a load of free kicks for pulling shirts on edge of box - that said, it was his ball Dublin flicked on for the goal and he came in with some magnificent blocks and last ditch tackles - 6 Taylor - Fairly average, looked solid enough - 6 Shacks - Good game, lots of vital tackles and interceptions mixed with some very clever defending - 7 Camara - Awful defensively for the most part - was at fault for the first goal - and his distribution wasnt wonderful either - one of our poorer players of the game - 5 Hucks - Excellent - looked back to his best and took his goal well, he was a real threat all game - 8 Pattison - We looked worse when he went off, good passes and clever through balls - 7 Rusty - Didnt really look at the races today, not much was falling for him - worked hard as always and got some good tackles in and broke up a fair few stoke moves - 6 Fozzy - Didnt really do it today - passing was good but he wasnt quick enough in releasing the ball. - 6 Croft - Our poorest player on the day - looked threatening going forward but let balls drop in our half about  seven times, either over his head or was caught waiting for it to come to him whilst Stoke players nicked it... that kept putting us under pressure defensively - 4 Dublin - Probably our best player along with Marshall - clever flicks, won alot in the air, worked well with Hucks and held it up well, always getting others involved in the game and was always sniffing about and giving defenders something to think about - Although, he was at fault for their second goal - 9
 13. Was just wondering, why on weds i was told by lady in ticket office, that i couldnt reserve ticket for stoke and pick it up at Stoke, and that she could not post it as it was too late.(I live in mids) my mate rings up at 3pm today and gets his ticket reserved for collection at Stoke.Annoying as that was, it isnt my point. Ticket Office told my mate that there are around 200seats left for away end. Im thinking of arriving at abouit 1:30pm, do you think i should be guaranteed a ticket by arriving so early?  (by that i mean do you think i''ll def get one, not do you think i deserve it for arriving early!! lol)
 14. No thanks - personally i find them irritatiing in the extreme.
 15. I live in the midlands - so will be taking a couple of hours on the train to get there... Good luck getting a lift Shy, if you do make it, i''d be more than happy to buy you a pint...just to show there are no hard feelings.
 16. I read in another thread that you were going to the game on Sat, I shall also be in attendance as long as there are tickets on the gate, (the ticket office told me it was too late to post them?!) so was just wondering if you fancy a pint before the game?
 17. Without Britains involvement the Yanks would never have been there to help save your "treasured" nation (a nation that failed to reward its own people) - whatever way you try & dress it up, the Americans were penultimate to the cause. Minus British intelligence and the sheer tenacity of British men & women plus a hefty loan from America that we''ve only just finished paying back, your "treasured" nation (that still fails to reward its own people) would''ve been a Germanic state since way back then. And a question to Mello who put Polish pilots of Spitfires & Hurricanes  on some kind of pedestal -- who constructed them?   Right, to start with, Im unsure on your point about rewarding our own people? We lost 40% of our economy (as opposed to britains 0.6%) and then suffered 45 years at the hands of Stalin, after your "precious country" divided us up and handed us out!! so if you meant economically - it has taken us 15years to get back on our feet again. Of course if you mean in terms of medals, then A) You should have made your point clearer, and B) We lost 6million people, and then were taken by the soviets - i don''t think medals were of utmost importance, more surviving the regime took precedence i feel. and yeah we have had 15years, but we are only just getting ourselves sorted out, whilst we have made some efforts,  im sure all those deserving will be honoured in some way. Your spitfire construction point is correct. However i think you will find - that we were constructing the Best anti-tank guns in the world at that time - which did more damage to the Nazis in the first advances in 1939 than the allies combined managed to inflict in the whole of 1940!! Agreed Yankee, if you look back i have tried a couple of times to diffuse the situation, or call the topic to a close, but some people just cant drop the subject....Then again - i am in "their" country, eating their food, taking their jobs, dodging my taxes, burdening the economy and suchlike.
 18.

I concur, no-one came out of the war looking rosy, and each country has its own version of what happened, the truth as always, lies somewhere in the middle.
This is an example of moral relativism, the curse of our time. Churchill, Hitler, Hitler, Churchill, who''s the goodie, who''s the baddie, depends who you listen to really. Six of one, half a dozen of the other, probably. By the way you didn''t answer my question about America''s role in liberating Poland.
Sorry snuggles, only just hit back on this thread - My grandfather was taken as a POW and incarcerated in Mauthausen in Austria, along with thousands of other innocent Poles, which was liberated by the American troops, and it was them fighting on the West which forced Germany to face a war on two fronts. This allowed the Soviets to advance and take the Poland. It was mainly the success of the American led operation cobra at the D-day  landings which allowed the Americans to fan out into a broad front and sweep through Europe whilst the Soviets came from the East, dividing Hitler''s forces and freeing Poland from Hitler''s forces. (Only for them to be taken over by the Soviets!). Yes before it comes back at me, i am fully aware that the British were a major part of the D-day landings, and that is fully appreciated. The point I am making is that it was mainly the Americans wgho advanced through France and Belgium and into Germany.
 19. His Newc contract is up in the summer....so a nominal fee i guess, i think he''d come here over other champ clubs regardless of position because he clearly has a lot of respect for Roeder and gets on well with him, but what happens if he keeps playing like he did on Sat and Prem clubs come sniffing?
 20. Sorry if this has already been mentioned, couldn''t find it anywhere but the boy wants to move here full time....Sign him up!!http://new.eveningnews24.co.uk/content/Sport/story.aspx?brand=ENOnline&category=Sport&tBrand=ENOnline&tCategory=Sport&itemid=NOED26%20Nov%202007%2011%3A10%3A19%3A787
 21.
Interesting draw Despite the recent Euro results i think Croatia was one of the best draws we could have got from pot 1, with maybe the exception of Greece. A chance for revenge. Ukraine is potentially tricky, but Scotland finished ahead of them for a reason, i''f have prefereed the likes of Finland, Belgiam, Norway from that pot. We seemed to have avoided any banana skins in the other pots with Belarus (Hleb only), Kazhakstan (Borat?!!) and Andorra weak! Pot 1, 7 and 8 were probably well missed, the pot 2 sides probably not relishing being in those groups. Pot 2 looks the easiest. How do Izrael go from finsihing 4th in our group to becoming 2nd seeds and then get drawn in such a weak group. Greece, Switzerland and 3 minnows! N Ireland and worthy can be reasonably happy, Germany asside there are no real strong sides, Poland are certainly beatable, San Marino are attrocious and despite being cometative enoughthe slovaks and slovenians should be beatable. Scotland should fancy their chances of a top 2 finish, no real minnows but Norway, Iceland and Macedonia shouldnt trouble them.
They''ll be even happier having actually got Czech Republic and not Germany then!!! San Marino, Slovenia and Slovakia are all weak, but complacency must not be an issue against these teams as they are not so weak they can''t exact an upset. From a Polish stance, it is a good group, NI are very much beatable, the ones we should be worried about are the Czechs, bit of a local derby going on there. Should be an interesting campaign. Maybe you can exact some revenge on the Croatians!! You appear to have a relatively easy group - Kazakhstan were in our group for Euro quali''s and are truly shocking away from home but it is a difficult place to visit - we stuggled and beat them 1-0 away and i''m fairly sure Portugal did the same. At home we were 1-0 down with 60 on the clock, but came back to beat them 3-1. Ukraine are weak at the moment and whilst i wouldnt have fancied drawing them 3 or 4 years ago, they are in decline at the moment with Shevchenko losing form and growing older. Belarus are a fairly poor side but are a potential banana skin as they are no mugs and have secured some good results in recent years.Anyway, Good luck for the campaign and i look forward a potential Poland Englad tie in SA!!!!
 22. Desi - i did enjoy that article, thank you for the link.I concur, no-one came out of the war looking rosy, and each country has its own version of what happened, the truth as always, lies somewhere in the middle.I was referring to Yalta, but also to Teheran - both of which were stitch-ups on a grand scale!anyway - back on to point - good luck on qualification for 2010 - the draw is taking place as we speak so i am off to see who we get, It won''t be England though as we are in the same pot!! I''m sure the FA will get the right man this time - they can''t afford to settle for second best this time - much the same as Norwich couldnt!
 23.

i thought the russians stitched up the polish home army during the war?
I mean that to claim the country that secretly conspired with the Nazi''s to Carve up Poland under the Ribon Troppe-Moltke Pact; Then launched a joint invasion;then carried out the katynn massacre;then delayed its advance to allow the Nazi''s to crush the Nationalist movement;then occupied and imprisoned said countries leaders and academics and ecconomically starved the country for fourty years is stretching the definition of "saving a country" imho.
Sounds like you are quite knowlegdeable on this topic, and i applaud you on that fact. However, as you clearly know your stuff, there are a few bits you have missed out.....such as the fact Britain and the allies agreed to let Russia keep Poland, The fact that Britain told Poland not to mobilise troops against Hitler''s advances in the first instance of invasion, The fact that Polish troops took 12% of the German aircraft down at the battle of Britain.... Dont get me wrong - i, and all Polish people appreciate what the British did for us during the war, but to claim Britain saved us in the war, is surely incorrect in light of these facts?Yeah the Russians were sly, and terrifying, but it''s hardly like i''m putting them on a pedastal, I said that Soviet troops drove the Nazi''s out of Poland, which is fairly accurate, obviously the Polish resistance etc helped but it was mainly the Russians. I obviously am not best pleased about the 40years of oppression and terror they subjected us to, I was illustrating a point that Britain didnt save us in the war, maybe again, i did not make this clear.interesting article if anyone is interested, can be found here: http://www.kasprzyk.demon.co.uk/www/history/WW2.html
 24. I am fully aware of my country''s history - my point was England didnt "save us" in the war.....The Russians and Americans did.I fully appreciate we weren''t the reason either country joined the war....but that doesn''t change the fact it was the advancing Russians that sent the Nazi''s packing from Poland.I also have the utmost respect for the British forces, past and present, and you''re right, maybe my post didn''t make it clear enough, but trust me, the whole Polish nation appreciates that you went to war for us and are grateful for the efforts of the British forces!!As for my "beloved" Russians.....I do not tar this generation with their predeccessor''s brushes. The USSR put us through absolute horrors, and if you ever visit Poland, I would advise a trip to the Gdansk shipyard museum to see the place where the fall of communism started. If it wasn''t for the bravery of Lech Walesa and the other dockers, we would have been subjected to god knows how many more years of it. It just doesn''t bear thinking about. But whilst we suffered for a very long time, its been nearly 20years since the USSR fell - you cannot just keep hating a country indefinitely!
 25. That and Vodka!! ;) (common misconception is it is Russian invention but originated from Poland!)
