Something you should know about GNG
Google Bot replied to SuperWesIrishWizard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Why don''t some of you do some investigation if you REALLY must know who this guy is. (And no the caps do not signify anything!!) Seems like you''re all going a bit WILD running around in circles, it''s like watching the muppet SHOW!!! Here''s a clue which i shouldn''t reveal, as GNG will hate me, but hey, i''m going to anyway!: What is missing at the end of of the final sentence in most of his posts?(Multiple choice): a. Apostrophe b. Comma c. Full stop If you guess that, there''s only a few people here who continually make this mistake on the level he does... Combine this with the use of certain words/phrases and they''re easy to spot. Incredibly easy. On top of that you''ve got great use of apostrophes which is quite rare, capitalisation is exempt, not one Place, Name or Day in small caps, and he uses a single space after a period (Standard stuff, but certain posters use 2 which ruled them out). -
my little nagging worry.,.....

Personally, if i was footballer offered a deal to play in a side that hasn''t been finalised i would feel uncomfortable not knowing whether i was going to be a first team player or not. Do they have agreements in contracts whereby they are guaranteed x amount of games if fit? Saying that, Roeder still has respect in the game and i think most people know he''s a straight talking guy and if he tells you something it''s cause he means it. To me geography should not be an issue as these players are not commuting to 9-5 office jobs in London on a daily/weekly basis, most of their travel will be down nice country roads to colney, and of course into the city to a nice health club/fatso''s (Sorry i''m using Iwan as a benchmark there!). Surely thats a pull in a world thats becoming so disjointed? -

I''ve got 2 kids and i will happily swear on their lives that i am not GNG, at least as far as i''m aware i''m not. Besides, if i was going to post it would only be 2nd hand news direct from the mouth of a director at the club, but you''re all going to find out start of July anyway... It will be a good season for programme sellers though, i can tell you that, so get your names on the list! -
So that implies that GNG is working for Archant in some capacity?
that is Easy to assumE isNt it? I get the feeling i''ve said too much now!!! Avenge my forum death if you don''t hear by me by sunrise! :-/ -

I''ve got to come clean, i am a chronic liar!! It''s a problem i''ve had since birth (Apparantly came out making cow noises). The funniest thing is, however, i''ve received a message from the pretender asking me not to blow him, as if i wanted to do that anyway! So along with his chronic spelling/use of english and my chronic porkies mixed with the chronic need for information on here it''s quite ironic that we can afford to be so supercilious!!!! *winks* -
Where is B,B babes?
Why is everyone pussy footing around?
Well, if GNG is working in the media for example and he''s breaking stories on a forum to possible customers of his employers publication he would more than likely lose his job, i''ve no experience of the media and things like this but i would imagine some confidentiality agreement is signed.
Just name GNG, it''s not like you''re going to get arrested or anything. In my opinion GNG''s other username could be ......................
In my opinion GNG is................................ Good News Gordon!!!!!!! -
They are very obviously different people. The GNG on the Green''Un can actually write in English..
Interesting fact: The word "supercilious" has only been used on this forum twice, quite interesting i thought. :) -

Will away supporters get £10 if the team doesn''t turn within 90 minutes during away matches?? ...Oh, i think i''ve confused the RAC with the AA. :) -

Hey, i''m only claiming 70-80% perfection!!! ;) Thing is, the person it points to does have a job which provides them with inside knowledge and i wasn''t even aware of this until searching the boards and google on their username. All i''ve posted to say is do you really want to see the guy get caught up and possibly lose his job? which as far as i can make out is more a privlidge to him than a need for money. At the end of the day he''s like the majority of us and obviously felt the need to give something back... Now it''s all gone a bit sour. But hey, as you say, this is purely based from checking their style of composing... (See that? i left three of those dainty dots just there after the word composing!) :D -

I''ve studied handwriting/document examining, not on a forensics level though so don''t go thinking im some csi nut or anything, it''s purely on an interest basis. Terminologies, use of double/single spaces after punctuation, capitalisation (i.e. firstnames/surnames/places/after commas), paragraph useage and simple spelling errors (their/there/they''re) are usually enough to give someone away if they''re consistent, and luckily most posters are. I can''t help but look into/search out trolls when posting on forums, it''s some kind of sad addiction, seeing GNG''s initial post on here also set me off on a search. Doing this i''m 70-80% sure i know who he is, but i''m not going to be revealing who i think it is however. I just thought i would add to this thread by saying that (If i''m correct) he is not directly employed by the club but he definetly will have knowledge of things that most of us don''t. At the end of the day he''s trying to do everyone a favour and now he''s getting hassled, would definetly be looking at getting a bollocking and risk losing his position. In fact all i can say to him is that i hope he''s posting through a proxy cause no doubt the pinkun mods will have his IP linked to the other account he holds. -
ITS VERY GOOD NEWS TIME
Google Bot replied to Good News Gordon's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
So any guesses to the posters identity, s/he is supposedly a regular poster under another name.
I would be more interested in the news, than who is reporting the news. I imagine this persons ''job'' would be on the line were they to be disclosed. But to be honest with you, i don''t think they''re anymore in the know than the guy from colchester who''s name i''ve forgotten right now! :) -

People, i too, as a lurker, have sussed who this is, it''s an existing poster and would reveal... However, i get the feeling they are involved in the club (From reading posts from their main avatar) so i''m keeping zipped up. .....They would have a source for this news if true though, so it''s validity is based on their source at the end of the day. If you''re interested in Finding OUt yourself the clues are in fRont of your EYES!!!!!! Single spaced timetables are a chore!! *wink wink* -

If we''re talking stats, here are some more worthwile in-game ones (Cureton the top row for each): 2007/08 Statistics TEAM COMPETITION (Taken from ESPN) GS: Games started, SB: Used as Substitute, G: Goals, A: Assists, SH: Shots, SG: Shots on goal, YC: Yellow Cards, RC: Red Cards, FC: Fouls Commited, FS: Fouls Suffered, SV: Saves, OF: Offsides, W: Wins, D: Draws, L: Losses GS SB G A SH SG FC FS YC RC 28 11 12 0 87 45 16 17 2 0 16 8 7 0 58 33 20 33 1 0 Shots / Shots on target 87 - 45 (51% Accuracy) 58 - 33 (56% Accuracy) Shots / Goals 87 - 12 (13.8%) 58 - 8 (13.8%) Shots on Target / Goals 45 - 12 (26.6%) 33 - 8 (24.2%) So Evans, so far, has been more accurate, yet Cureton is actually more prolific if the shot is on target. Another interesting stat above is that Evans has been fouled almost twice as much as cureton... If only we still had Ian Crook! Actually it''s more than that, he actually gets taken out twice in a game, whereas Cureton averages every other game, that''s 4x as many isnt it?! -
How about we all saying bloody well done Glenn!
Google Bot replied to Hardhouse44's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think most of us on here are behind glen, i cetainly am, i just cant take this board no more.
Yeah the board are a complete joke, first they take us back to the premiership, then they make the facilities at Carrow Road so good that it''s nearly a sell out each match, and then they have the audacity to get in a top man like Roeder. If only they would push us into debt for the sake of 1 or 2 new players!!!!! Grrrrrrrrr!!! Damn you board *shakes fist* [*-)] -
norwich should put up or shut up either bid 1m today or come out and say you dont want him
What a load of tosh, would you pay £10k for a car that you feel is only worth £7.5k? It''s birmingham and his agents that are playing games, personally i think Norwich should hold strong as they are the only club in for him... Why outbid yourself?! If other interest appears they then need to decide if he''s worth the extra, it''s not a case of simply wanting him or not!

If you haven''t noticed this thread was picked up from april 07 when we played them last season, hence why ''grant'' was down as manager. -

Now that the pre-season friendlies, and subsequently the domestic season starts posters will have more to talk about, it just gets worse when there''s not much to discuss so people start being generally unfriendly (Due to boredom?).Must say i''m looking forward to the championship this season more than the world cup... Im due a big dissapointment arent i?! :( -
I don''t think being english should be a a factor. It should be the best man for the job
Thats crazy in an international setup, i think it should be English throughout as it''s the whole point of competing on an international level... Maybe Thierry Henry would be a better man to play up front for us but would you really want him playing ahead of Owen or Rooney?I have nothing against foreign managers/players etc, its just that the whole point of the world cup etc is nation against nation in a sporting event and it waters that down somewhat.

I was p''d off cause i really want Ashton to stay, logic doesn''t come into it!! Pure emotion.I still think he''ll be off, i wish that the board or worthy, or the man himself would say whether he wanted to stay or not... If he does then the club should just make it clear that he''s not for sale for whatever money... If he gets us into the playoffs and possibly back up to the prem then the guy has far more value than any money we would receive that could be gambled on players that ''may'' do the job for us.We would reap the kind of money his sale would make just through going up.I vote we tie him down in a cupboard and bring him out on saturdays!!! :D
-
I agree it is really taking the p out of us, thing is the clubs who are interested in him are hardly gonna be contenders for the FA Cup anyway and if they are willing to pay less cause he has played for us in the cup then just don''t sell to them, surely that is obvious... It''s as though we''ve gone from holding on to him to trying to push him out the door. Totally gutted, especially coming at a time where we seem to have been rejuvinated.... slightly ;)

In the playoff final at cardiff i had to text my dad in turkey the outcome of each penalty that was taken... He never heard about Sutch''s miss as i was too p''d off... I think he guessed though! -

I don''t think the club can be blamed for premiumtv''s methods personally, but the finger should definetly be pointed at the bbc, its outrageous that they allow their radio channels to be used in a pay-per-listen manner and totally misrepresents what the bbc is all about, there should be more fuss made about this for sure! -
Which City Player Were You?

I was Chris Woods - Me and my cousin spent many hours perfectly recreating his Milk Cup final penalty save! Dad got me some industrial gloves (Big yellow things with like a glue-gun pattern on them), told me they were the gloves that Chris Woods wore, boy oh boy i got the p taken out of me when i turned up for footy practise..
