  1. God, I am so down about our current state. I come onto the message board in the hope of some good news, but everyone is as fed up as me, arguing about who the next manger should be, should we sack the board/Neil Doncaster, how our players are to blame. It is just moan moan moan.It can be better and it will be soon, have faith, something will happen. It just needs one good thing to start the change start by reminding yourself of the better timeshttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Wh5DH5datZcYou do realise that I am really talking to myself trying to get out of this downward spiral.Does anyone else have any advice to help my current mood?
  2. 0-1  Nothing has changed to make me think we can score. Lets face it Bristol City will be too good for us
  3. I completely agree BF. Peter Reid would get our team nowhere fast. Someone who has real communication skills will always be able to get more ot of the players than one trick ponies like Reid. Mind you, I do despair at the lack of quality managers being talked about as replacements for PG. Peter Taylor would be a good bet, but after that??? OTBC
  4. I called bet365 today. They told me that bets were suspended because interviews were taking place this weekHas this been confirmed anywhere?
  5. looks like Sky haven''t announced it and no one else has eitherAnother red herring
  6. I do doubt this story. But what is not in doubt is that he is mighty hacked off at the moment and this shows on the pitch
  7. Clearly buying time for a hastily arranged board meeting to discuss Grants future
  8. NO NO NO Paul Ince is in the same mould as Grant, a tub thumper!
  9. If he has got to the point of admitting that he is thinking it over - Then it is overmove on and let us move on
  10. I have to say, I remain unconvinced that a change a board level will make a difference. Grant has had more cash than a lot of championship managers and we are still looking like the worst team in the league. What concerns me is that he is not getting the most from the squad (far from it) I lot of football is mental. What I mean by that is it is about the state of mind. What I see in our players is a complete lack of confidence in themselves and in their manager. what I see in Grant is someone with not a great deal of confidence in the players he has. Even if many of them are his buys. When confidence is low, players need encouragement and support to express themselves (this team is the most repressed unexpressive group of players I have witnessed in  Norwich shirts)I get the sense that Grant is very much old school in terms of management style and doesn''t go in for this mental ''nonsense''. His response is ''I can''t work any harder''. Well then don''t. If you relax, the team will relax. If you keep turning the screw, they will keep retreating. This is a hard thing to do when it seems as if there are no positives, but focus on what we have, not what we don''t have. get the players to do more of what they do well and things will slowly get better. Once they do start to turn, it will become easier and there will be more and more positives to build on.We have the players (at the start of the season no one, even Smudger, predicted we would be in the bottom 3 this year)I think, unfortunately, that Grant does not think this way and has already run out of ideas, which is why it may be time for him to goOTBC
  11. Grant won''t strt with Dave up front, so has to be                        MarshallSemmy           Doc   Murray  Drurycroft      Russell     Jarvis   Hucks                Dion       Cureton
  12. I agree.GO NOW GRANT. this is dire stuff, we will be going down if it goes on any longerconfidence shottoo many mediocre playerslost the dressing roomtactics awful
  13. Good news about Smith (god knows we need him) but I don''t think we will see him in the first team for at least a couple of weeks yet
  14. It has to be Worthy on current evidence. Hamilton was hopeless so he is out of the running, Worthy had a good run and got us to the premiership. He did run out of ideas though and was probably relieved when he was shown the door. As far as Grant goes, it is still early days. he needs to make this squad gel, work together and have more of a positive attitude on the park. If he does that and we start going up the table instead of down, he could start to win the faith and confidence of the fans
  15. He has to remain positive if things are ever going to get better. He probably doesn''t believe it, especially after last weekends performance and Hucks outburst, but down be down on the lad for trying to be upbeat
  16. This one is not easy. Assuming Drury is still out, I would play the following line up                                  Marshall            Semmy          Doc            Halliday      Jarvis          Croft     Murray         Rusty          Lappin           Hucks                                          Davedoesn''t fil me with confidence though!
  17. I was wondering if people remember the time they realised that Norwich were the team for them.I was about 10 at the time and had been to see my local team, Cambridge United quite a few times. even at that age I realised that they just weren''t good enough to keep me interested. I wanted to support a team that was near enough for me to go and watch and was good enough to enusure some excitement every now and again. My family wasn''t really into football so there were no historical family teams to follow. Both my brothers supported Leeds (nuff said!) so I plumped for Norwich, following them through thick and thin. My first game was a 3-0 win over Stoke. I loved the atmostphere at Carrow road and always have since. (except for the game where the Man U fans ripped the roof off what is now the barclay end)I hope this is the start of a family tradition as I have tried to indoctrinate my children into believing that all that is green and yellow is good
  18. Thanks Indyand many apologies to Big Fish for not knowing the names of every Norwich player over the past 25 yearsIf you don''t ask, you don''t learn
  19. Is Gerrard going to play on Saturday? I think someone said he might need a pain killing injection before the game.I wish someone would give me a painkilling injection before every England game!
  20. What is the latest on Dave''s injury/illness it has all gone very quiet? He was probably the player I had most expectations of pre season but it has been a slow start for him. I hope he gets a good run in the team soon and scores a few goals soon. Given the investment we made in buying him, we should not leave him hanging around in the reserves. I can see him and JC becoming the first choice pairing upfront by christmas, but we have to play him. I would be interested to hear the views of  others
  21. Needs to try a few new faces                                     GilksSemmy         Halliday             Shacks      MurrayChadwick        Russell            Brellier      Huckerby                   DTS              Cureton
