  1. a good way of looking at it el chorizo, I hope you are right!
  2. and I am well & truly fed up with "we must stand up & be counted" Still, we all love him!!
  3. What will be the first move in either scenario? A. He stays - will this mean a press conference would be organised or can the club just issue a statement? Easy to organise. B. He come to city - presumably, we announce a press conference & Linvoy will travel to norwich to be there? Needs more time to organise. In which case, the longer the better for us? Is this right?
  4. CAN''T THINK ABOUT WORK with this going on..... please shed some light someone!!
  5. watched it last night with my mates - brilliant, loved every second of it!!!!
  6. From the new Coca Cola championship? My guess is: West Ham Leicester Sheff Utd
  7. Good post Pottsy, I agree with you. We still await the other striker, & despite other opinions on this board we need one - look at the other teams in the Premiership, most have at least 4 don''t they? Also I''m chuffed by the amount of positional versatality we now have.
  8. Weston Super Mare would be the other (well known) Weston aprt from Weston Longville! (its a lovely little village 10 miles west of Norwich famous for a Dinosaur Park & the Parson Woodforde''s diaries). Good on you weston canary!! Don''t listen to any of those twerps around you. You can ask you Utd mate how they got on against Wolves last year. Just sit there and enjoy this moment and wait for Worthy''s next move... Game on!
  9. I think I''m right in saying that Jon Newsome was our record signing for £1m ten or so years ago. I always thought that if (sorry when) we got promoted we would break this. Now, it''s looking like we won''t, unless Worthy will pull one out the bag. Do you think we will? If you were worthy, who would you sign for over £1m, bearing in mind potential wages?
  10. Weston Canary.... not from Weston Longville by chance are you? Anyway, this all makes sitting in front of the computer at lunch, checking the latest news again & again, all worthwhile. Any guesses on his ages anyone? Whats left in the kitty? Come on Worthy, pull another suprise out...
  11. Brilliant news!!!! So chuffed with that - are the pictures of him signing the contract taken today? Has he flown back again?! Hopefully now, primus will want to play with him, then Sutton will come home...
  12. Come on Charlies Dad, so good of you to put your faith in this source! I really really hope that you are right. I''m still dreaming of the press conference unveiling Primus & Helveg! Please let us know of any developments from your source...
  13. This year they have a top class manager, a technical director, Paul Robinson, a new defender (can''t remember his name), Sean Davies, eyeing up Matt Taylor who I think is a great player. They have also got rid of the Postigas & Andertons, etc. Just a hunch, but I would be willing to put a lot of money on them ending the season higher than last time. £10 says they do?
  14. It seems these guys come in and out of favour at the same rate. I remember that both started for the last England U18 game, both have scored a few for the first team. Just wondered what anyone elses thoughts were on this?
  15. I agree with all this about a right sided midfielder. Isn''t this Mathew Etherington teritory? He hasn''t been allocated a new club yet has he? Anderton too but I would hate to see him arrive. Is Kevin Harper history? Can anyone else throw in any others?
  16. So chuffed to hear that the Man U game will be on TV. So 4 of our first 5 games will be televised? Brilliant! How much £ does this already equate to? Enough for another player? On the pessimistic side, we could be the most laughed at team in the league after getting stuffed by Utd, Newcastle, Aresenal & and an increasingly better looking Spurs. Lets hope we hold our own!
  17. I would like to know if the clubshop can get their hands on one of those wheelie bins that the players are using to cool down - they look really smart. On a serious note, I ordered the season highlights video. It was supposed to be posted to me last Monday & it hasn''t turned up yet. Anyone else had the same problems?
  18. Besides we surely wouldn''t go for Moore if we get Primus. And by the confirdent sounds of Worthy we pretty much have him. Whenever he sounds this confirdent (Bentley) we usually get our man. Still hoping the Sutton one comes off!
  19. Good stuff Peter, I trust these words will be posted straight up here? It''s 1:54... I make that 1-0 city, Francis? Final score to be 2-0, Francis & Huckerby?
  20. I was lucky enough to win two tickets to the Euro 2004 play off final at the weekend. The game was about to start and then Andy Grey & Richard Keys sat down in the two seats in front of us. It was weird the whole game I had commentary like I am used to, except with a few F***''s, etc thrown in for good measure - very surreal indeed. then on the way back from the stadium we stood next to the guy that plays Jonathan Creek, saw Andy Grey again yesterday at the airport, then queued next to Andy Townsend at check in. All very weird indeed. Anyway, I proudly went to the game in my Norwich shirt. I saw no Ipswich shirts. 1-0!
  21. I read an article on Sunday in the Star I think titled "Canaries on the Cheap" they were claiming that Nigel has been given £2m to spend this summer, where as the Baggies have £25m. First of all, to all those with "inside knowledge" is this true? Secondly, is this a sensible strategy? Ok, we could do what the Baggies have done... spend sod all on transfers when they first get promoted to pay off existing debts, go down, use the parachute payment to get promoted again the following year. Then on their second attempt at staying in the premiership, they can spend nearer the £15-£20m they receive? Obviously, if somehow we stay up with a couple of shrewd loans, etc, then this is an unexpected bonus, which we all pray for! Is this what we seem to be doing?
  22. Writing from my office in Leicester Square, live in Kilburn, North West London where I know a couple of other fellow yellows...
