  1. Even the best of world clas players have missed far more straightforward chances than that. I said in another thread, with just a small slice of Lady Luck, Idah would’ve had 3-4 (or more) goals over these past three games (three games in which we got 9 points incidentally). Had he have done that everyone would have been kicking Pukki out and labelling Idah as our new superstar. The knee jerk and extreme over reactions of people in here is a kin to what you’d expect to witness at primary school. If we show these lads some real support who knows how far they could go with us. People need to stop for a minute think about how they might feel if an Idah was their son, brother or other loved one. It’s hurtful and unnecessary irrespective of the wage they may or may not earn. Back your players representing your club.
  2. While we’re winning he’ll get away with it - just. Not that, personally, I feel there’s any justification in the level of criticism he’s getting. The lad has played what? Three consecutive games? In each of those he could’ve had a brace but for some misfortune and if he had have bagged said brace in each game, everyone would be going nuts on here about why he hadn’t been playing sooner. it’s fine margins, but for my money, give the lad a break, get behind him and then see where we’re at after a serious amount of consistent game time.
  3. They definitely referenced Idah in a sarcy follow up to the Pukki singing. Something along the lines of (to the same tune), “ he got 5 years, Idah, he got 5 years, oh Idah, he got 5 years” if Idah has any sense he won’t let it bother him. Sargent was absolutely annihilated last year but is a cult hero this!
  4. He was superb I thought, looks totally different since Wagner arrived.
  5. It’s really saddening when you see the likes of Nunez and Tzolis looking like they’re feeling low. I hope they can both find their spark because Nunez and his crazy smile and waving hands just lifts your spirits in itself before he even kicks a ball. I hope the pair of them can really kick on and before anything else can get back to enjoying their football.
  6. This thread really takes the biscuit. Utterly ridiculous and sums up just what absolute funktards football supporters can be. I was there last night, like many of you. I have also watched the highlights on repeat to see those two superb goals, and it totally reaffirmed for me a few things: 1) Idah actually put a decent shift in. Made some good runs. Won his share of target man type headers. Was a nuisance to their defenders all night. Showed some beautiful little touches that, but for a bit of bad luck, would’ve translated into a couple of cracking assists. 2) Giannoulis was nowhere near as bad as people are making out. He was unfortunate that he had 2-3 glaring mishaps in a short space of time and, then had to endure idiots berating him. I’m fairly confident Wagner hooked him off to protect him from the over the top and unfair moaning that was being aimed at him. 3) Tzolis is a young boy that deserves our patience and encouragement. He could, develop into an absolutely huge player for us but it’s unlikely to happen if the knuckle dragging brigade end up booing the life out of him. 4) Kenny is a different player under Wagner and is probably the reason people are turning on Idah and Giannoulis. Kenny is on form and people have to have someone to spout utter rubbish to and about. It can’t be Kenny at the minute so it’s the next easy target. 5) Some, perhaps the loud minority of football fans, are cruel. They don’t have an ounce of compassion or empathy and are not happy unless they’re being unkind to individuals Im no happy clapper, but our role in this is to get behind the lads that are representing our city and county. It’s the minimum we should be bringing to the ground in my opinion. We have a responsibility to do that just as they have a responsibility to give 100% effort. I think the majority do do that but it seems the stone island army are only interested in being tw4ts and hellbent on feeding negativity. Back these young lads and they will where our shirt with pride I’m sure.
  7. So pleased for him tonight. He looked like he was going to burst into tears when he scored that. People need to give him a break and get behind him. He’s a young lad that’s struggled to settle that’s all. He needs a carrow road arm round him.
  8. When you look at his goals and assists on YouTube (I know but it’s all we really have), the thing that strikes me most, is he looks happy and his body language is so different. When I see him at Carrow Road, he looks sad, fearful almost and I’m convinced that’s the problem that needs to be addressed. We have to find a way to put a smile on his face and allow him mistakes and to get back to playing with enjoyment and no fear. As for Idah, I really don’t know what to make of him. He looks a beast one minute and disinterested the next. Strange one.
  9. Quite the opposite for me, I think Tzolis looks more like a number 9 to me. We haven’t seen anything like a player in Tzolis, there’s no doubt about that but I’m convinced there’s a serious player in there but right now his confidence appears to be shot to pieces. I may be wrong, but he strikes me as somebody who just hasn’t been able to settle, as though he doesn’t feel part of things. The challenge is how does Wagner release the player in him.
  10. He certainly looks more suited to that kind of role to me. I reckon a couple of goals would give him a serious shot in the arm.
  11. Gibbs was schooled as an attacking midfielder by Ipswich. DM is a fairly new role for him since breaking into our first team plans. I think he could be a better version of Dowell if we could allow him to be in a more advanced position. Just saying, as I know this thread is about Sorenson, but I keep reading about “Gibbs the DM” and felt compelled to say something.
  12. I agree. He’s a centre back trying to be a midfielder in my opinion. He could be a very classy centre half if that was his focus. The days where centre backs could only be 6’5 brick $hiz house type players are over.
  13. I’d appreciate a pm too if it’s not too cheeky to ask?
  14. Don’t people argue on here for the tiniest of reasons. Splitting hairs doesn’t even come close. It’s all a little cringey in my humble opinion.
  15. Incidentally, what was/is Rowe’s actual injury that’s kept him out this far?
  16. I can’t believe people are actually suggesting placeta could be a better choice than Hernandez. Serious case of a player being perceived to be better than they are, the longer it’s been since they've played for us.
  17. I think that the way Wagner likes his teams to play: high energy, tempo, the press, Hernandez is exactly the kinda guy you want in the team. He may just well reach new levels under Wagner. He’s mental and I love it when he’s just being Onel on the pitch. Who knows what might happen but that’s what I go to football games for. You gotta love him regardless.
  18. Maybe not as unwanted as you may think he is pockthorpe. (See link) He’s undeserving of the abuse and in all honesty I’m not sure we have a lot to judge him on. The guy has barely been given a chance. It’s hard to score, or even find any kind of rhythm if you’re not on the pitch. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/this-would-be-a-very-good-signing-rotherham-united-plot-move-for-in-demand-norwich-city-player-the-verdict/
