  1. Yeah I am massive Mario fan but not sure about him in the 10. The time and space he gets by playing deeper helps him, less necessity for the athleticism required to find space in tight areas or counter attack.
  2. Yea I don't think he was brilliant last match, just going by the club's poll on that one. But he has a decent aerial presence (best of our CMs), work rate, can pick a pass and carry the ball (best of our CMs). Others are better than him in other areas. I'd like to see him dictate play and get on the ball more, on occassion matches pass him by. However, he's certainly good enough to contribute this year. Skipp and Rupp first choice partnership for me, but would be interested to see a Skipp Sorensen partnership too.
  3. Many saying he was past it end of last season - first half of this season, 11 goals. He isn't currently back at his best but in December when I posted that he was - certainly isn't a busted flush.
  4. He got the MOM on Twitter poll last match too. I am going to dig up the anti-Kenny thread from a few weeks ago to say "I told you so".
  5. It would be up there with the Huckerby present.
  6. Automated/Ill considered or confidence in him remaining with us?
  7. Don’t look back in anger LDC, it will be ok.
  8. Bloody hell, maybe we should siphon some more prem money into Colney? The £5 million we spent was when things were looking less rosey. Would they have liked to have spent more?
  9. 😁 Got to keep up appearances else we’ll end up looking like Portman Road.
  10. Sky often use a cutaway of the sign in the bushes on Carrow Road. It is always green with filth, someone at the game give it a wipe on their way out please!
  11. I think we will spend more than we have previously. 3/4 players in 5-12 million range. But we won’t be signing any peak proven prem players - they will cost too much. It’s not our style at all. Why would someone from a mid-table side join us for less money and less stability? Only if they are out of favour. Any players from the prem we sign will be rejects/youth players we hope we can help develop. They can hopefully cut it on the prem but won’t be proven.
  12. What Ben Marshall hates is perfect for other players. Some people want some countryside and beaches etc.
  13. Kenny started this season slowly but his quality seems to have quickly been forgotten by fans. Like the ‘player X not in the squad it the answer to all our problems’ phenomenon it happens every year that someone following some poor performances is no longer good enough. Everyone was saying Pukki was a busted flush end of last season. He is scoring every other game and looking back to his best. I predict Kenny will contribute too.
  14. 😆he has been much better today, but poor by his standards this season. I like him a lot - he’s unpredictable, he rides tackles to open up space nicely, and with time and facing goal can play a nice ball - but Farke would have dropped him if he had squad depth. For me he suits a stretched game not the precision of the packed defences we are facing.
  15. I like him but some aspects for him still to work on. His defensive contributions lack conviction and his goal/assist threat has been limited. Neat and tidy with the potential to go far, but not the messiah. Cantwell and Hernandez would take his spot with ease. A loan might still be needed for him, hopefully to come back with conviction and confidence in the men’s game.
  16. Promotion might let us once again get some new contacts with our star players. We’ll have more money to throw their way and the promise of week in week out top-level football. There will have to be some discussions about next steps at the same time. Something along the lines of: Give us a year in the prem to confirm how good you are, then can move on to being first choice at a really big club. Potentially even release clauses? Not something massive in British football but Webber isn’t afraid to make uncompromising decisions. So pleased to see Max play well though. Thought against Coventry the game looked too easy for him. A little complacent.
  17. Not how I would line up at the euros if I could help it. But injuries and form issues with some at the moment. Really not sure what to do with goalkeeper. I think I’d risk Henderson! Sancho, Trent, Maguire, Ings, Greenwood, Maddison, Walker, Coady, Mount, Barnes, Pope, Foden, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Abraham all on the plane.
  18. I sit with a very nice bunch of fans with a very limited understanding of the game.
  19. I have found iFollow to definitely be worse than sky or BT coverage, but the picture is good quality and I prefer to be able to see the whole game with my own eyes.
  20. Oh that is a bit more of a hurdle! Hopefully he gets a chance to make an impression and stick in their squad.
  21. Would a potential USA cap give us the Soto work permit? And if so is there any grounds for January recall on his loan? But wouldn’t want Soto and Idah stifling each other’s development/game time too much...
