  1. There''s only one fact that matters. And that is Russell Martin is Alex Neil''s choice for centre back and he will continue to be so form the foreseeable future. So, how about you put your pitchforks away, stop your whining and blubbing and support him like the Norwich City player he is. That is, unless you enjoy focusing on a scapegoat of course, and surely that''s not the case.
  2. Name a Premier League team that would play Cameron Jerome over what they''ve got? Does that mean we should drop him? No? Thought not.
  3. True for a lot of footballers, but I still think there''s many grounded and normal players out there, Morty. I''m pretty sure Russell Martin sees us more than just his employer, for example. We''ll never know what exactly has gone on with Grabban, if he performs well for us I''ll cheer him on like I will with the rest of the squad.
  4. The thing is, if we stay up and have a good season, known of these moaners will be here to praise or congratulate the Club. Insufferable know-it-alls whose sole purpose on this board is to continually bash the club they supposedly love. Permanent miserablists.
  5. I''ve no particular bitterness or anger at the Grabban situation. To be fair I don''t give a f uck what he does as long as he''s performing well and scoring goals for Norwich City.
  6. "Russell Martin is not a centre back" Alex Neil thinks he is. Gordon Strachan thinks he is. Neil Adams thought he was. Paul Lambert also played him there at times. It''s amazing that so many of you football ''experts'' think your opinion is more valid than many qualified football coaches.
  7. The absolute state of this thread. Embarrassing yet again
  8. Agree with everything Purple Canary said. Barring lots of injuries, BJ would have struggled to make the squad most weeks. And for £6million, that''s a fantastic bit of business for us.
  9. I''m 100% confident we''ll stay up this season - so much so that I''ll donate £50 to the CSF or PUPs for next season if we go down. Any other posters that believe we''re certainties for relegation willing to do a similar bet? If we go down I''ll also contribute towards the PUPs next season :-)
  10. "I have accepted relegation and am now looking forward to enjoying the rest of the season, and I will continue to support NCFC and be at CR" So you''ve effectively thrown the towel in then? That''s not supporting the team in any way. Maybe you should give your season ticket to someone who has faith in their team. One of the most embarrassing things I''ve read on the site today, and that''s saying something.
  11. One of the criticisms last season, during our bad patch, was that we should be winning the league because we had a Premier League squad. We''ve now been promoted and it''s not good enough, even with the additions. Crazy
  12. Who cares anyway? I''m glad he stayed. The absolute state of some of you lot.
  13. Whatever you may believe, the club wasn''t handed a cheque for 120 million as soon as the Play-Off whistle went. It''s an estimate based on TV money and many other factors, with a lot the figure accrued over the season. Not to mention the fact that our general expenditure, including wages, would have significantly gone up following promotion. It''s Premier League prices, folks! Maybe once some of our fans grasp that, we''ll have less crying that we haven''t spunked away all of our budget just yet.
  14. The absolute state of some of our fans. Ashamed to call some of you fellow fans. Some of our alleged fans using Twitter to near enough abuse our chief executive. I''m sure you''d love it if in your daily job if you were subjected to vitriol on that scale. No? Thought not. The club is in a massively better position ever since McNally stepped through the door. Am I pleased with the window? No. We''re extremely vulnerable in defence and I still think we''re light up front. It''s obvious we''ve had several targets we''ve missed out out on. Whether this be a money issue, or purely because we''re not a very attractive proposition we''ll never know. Our head of recruitment had a bad time at Burnley and he''s started poorly here. What none of us will never know is what goes on behind the scenes. I''m 100% sure the board has been doing their utmost to strengthen the squad. However, this must not be done at the expense of the long-term future of the Club. We''ve got the smallest budget in the league - that''s a fact. I''m all for constructive criticism, and am not impressed with our summer at all. However, the issue I have is with grown men acting like spoilt children when they don''t get their own way. In what universe do you think that whining and moaning on an internet forum is going to change things? It isn''t. I bet some of our players are delighted and full of belief that so many of our fans think they''re simply not good enough. Never a better time than a transfer window to continually beat down the Club you supposedly love, hey? As for me I think we''ll be OK. We''ve a bright young manager, with a positive and no fear approach that I think will cause a few upsets this season. Couple this with being very organised on the pitch and a squad with lots of belief. Not all the teams around us can say that. Rant over. OTBC.
  15. You''re desperate to prove that Ricky is some sort of star striker and it''s a big loss for us. On several threads. Repeating the same old guff. Alex Neil doesn''t rate him and that''s all that matters.
  16. Cash in and use the money towards a better centre forward or a defender.
  17. Ironic of LDC to label people know-it-alls. Wheeling out the same old garbage about Ricky scoring goals if he was given service just reeks of someone unwilling to change their opinion on a player because they don''t like to be seen as wrong. The facts speak for themselves. The manager has wanted him gone - this is the only opinion that matters now.
  18. LDC just to summarise for you mate:- Ricky has never been good enough for the PL. His stats and the fact that our manager has been trying to get rid of him all summer proves this. Thankfully we found someone to take him off our hands. And I wouldn''t bother taking an interest in what he does at Betis - he''s effectively not our player anymore. He''ll be gone next summer. He''ll never play or score for us again. I hope all that information isn''t too difficult for you to understand.
  19. Looks like I was right LDC. And I didn''t need to bore everybody senseless to get my point across.
  20. Jerome may not be prolific this season, but he offers so much more. Can bring players into the game, he''s an outlet for the long ball and can hold it up. RvW offers none of these attributes. If he''s not scoring goals for us, there''s no point of him being on the pitch. For the record, I''m not hating on RvW either, I''m just offering my opinion on a player, and it''s not a great one. If he scores a few this season send the humble pie my way.
