1. I know Ian Holloway from my non league days, don''t disagree he comes across as a great guy, I have always wondered how he went on to survive as a manager, always thought he relied on his humour rather than his tactical knowledge.
2. Damien Francis, I had forgot about him, (other than he had a stunning girlfriend) with a rare goal
3. Sounded like a young Jeff Stelling ! what a game that was, long live Adam Drury
4. To be fair Til, wouldn''t be hard, my cat knows more than the buffoon
5. Thats Dundee on the wind up, i saw 3 names mentioned today and AN wasn''t one of them, no doubt the Rangers forum''s can expect a visit from Dundee next
6. That would be a surprise away win, since the game is at Carrow Road !!
7.
Derby local paper says Martin, Bent and Eustace are all out, but George Thorne might play. As said before Lingard and Ince are the wide threats, but Tettey, Johnson and our strong defence should have enough about them to nullify them. We have our own threats going forward, hopefully they''re more worried about us than we are of them.
Spot on Woodman, I''m sure they are a lot more worried about us than we are of them, especially the way some of the recent results have gone.
8. stairs to the upper tier will be too much for the OAP''s, i suppose they could stand on the goal line then, be safe from donkey there.
9. sounds unlikely he will play, Mclaren doesn''t usually rush players back, don''t really want to see him play.
10. Mmm cant get away from us and Bournemouth and had a couple of goes ! Bournemouth 46 35 94 Norwich 46 31 89 Watford 46 28 88 Brentford 46 12 88 Middlesbrough 46 28 87 Derby 46 29 86 Wolverhampton 46 6 75 Nott''m Forest 46 8 74
11. Forrest have emerged as favourites to sign Rhodes now,(on news now) are offering to pay a huge slice of his 40k per week wages, and here''s the real twist will pay £8m if they get to PL this season, which I cant see, but will back their manager for around 250k to bring in a replacement for the injured Assambolonga and then let him return to Rovers in the summer,.......... more chance of Wroxham signing him on a permanent basis than Forrest, IMO
12. Rhodes would be a great signing for the run in, especially if Grabban going to be out longer than imagined at first.
13. Could be "Alex of the canaries", as player / manager comes off the bench at Wembley as his side are losing 2-0 and scores a hat trick ! that would be Roy of the Rovers stuff
14. Was a light bulb moment, at least he has come out of the shade at Cardiff
15. My understanding is that this is by invitation to supporters who travel to at least 50% of away games (as well as home games) and is different to events usually put on for supporter groups.
16. similar post recently, and I''m sure we all agree with the sentiments, as a Scot exiled in Norfolk for many years, but still have family north of the border who are football crazy, I admit to not having a clue about Alex Neil (even though I watched his side beat Hibs (hate them as much as I do Ipswich) I had to ask for background on him, and even then I still thought it was big risk, not now though. And have to take my hat off to the board, done their homework and were prepared to forget the usual suspects (include Malky in that), lets hope AN continues to make his mark and take us to new heights. Good op Indy.
17. was shocking, should throw the book at him, but somehow I doubt it !
18. Doctor, doctor he is on that keyboard again ! Shyster your post makes no sensible link, there is a man with 2 young children, left home on Saturday morning to watch his football team play, and is now lying in a hospital fighting for his life, what the heck has immigration got to do with this ?.
19. Very good Lappin, the wheels come off with Murphy''s glaring miss, to laff''s amusement, creative ! you could do the video for our friends in suffolk end of season review.
20. crap news, from a club with far too many d***head supporters, hoped those days were gone ! obviously not, and as mentioned earlier in the thread, seems to be creeping back into football, not good !
21. Don''t totally agree with Parma, Hooper is a much better player with the ball at his feet, as showed yesterday, he is quite clever with the ball and at times yesterday the interplay with him and Hoolahan was sublime, also showed he can play with another striker and Wes, the key is in having a midfield that is not static, and with lots of movement and support and the attacking play is much more incisive and more difficult for defences to deal with.
22. you will be fine tomorrow! usually a good event.
23. Fulham will probably be relegated by the time this game comes round, don''t see them being a concern, i think Leeds away will be the toughest game in our run in ?.
