2 pm press conference

They won''t sell him. Clubs only have press conferences to introduce new players, not say farewell to current players.

I see. In that case I hope that Ashton is there and commits his immediate future to Norwich, at least that would put and end to this constant speculation!
No. The press conference is about Ashton.
Another denial/hands-off/he''s not for sale type of thing? BORING!! (Sorry, it really is, I thought hearing about Beckham, Owen, Essien etc was dull, its even worse when its someone from your own team!

Or more likely ,Ashton was going to be sold subject to getting a replacement . As this hasn''t happened Ashton knows he won''t be sold right now so is taking advantage of better contract . Call me a cynic !

You cynic!  If you were to be cynical, you might go as far as to suggest this is merely an attempt to push the price up!

pete, im sure they have a press conferance for a player who has recently died, and also sometimes for press reasons, like a player has been caught doign something bad, or like dyer fighting on the pitch, they said sorry? im sure there are pently more reasons!

but yes, mostly only positive things.

on topic - the outcome was great news

hazzah!
