Buh 0 Posted December 11, 2013 It''s interesting how often a game is deadlocked then the storm gates open in extra time. I put it down to concentration and of course fitness. these lads are well drilled. What a great set.
Bill 1,788 Posted December 11, 2013 PNE fans comments - " Left after 90 minutes as it was freezing and I couldn''t be assed, our lot were knackered though so no suprises they have completely crumbled, don''t think they are used to playing at that tempo..................... ... Best player on the pitch though was Carlton Morris for them, looked far, far ahead of everyone else in terms of progression, great pace and strength, lovely touch and loads of skill. I''ll keep an eye out for the guy as I think he could go on to forge a good career in the game. Shame the scoreline has ended that way because the 90 minutes was a complete stalemate, nothing between the sides but obviously better fitness levels have shone through."" Very good game, especially the first half. Two best players on the pitch were the number 9s for both teams, both scored and could have had more. We deserved to take them to extra time and either side could have nicked it in the end. Awful defending for all 5 goals I saw though but defenders always take the longest to mature. .................In the end Norwich had just that little bit more class but whatever they''re doing in the youth set-up it seems to be working so hopefully Grayson might take a punt on a couple of the 2nd years and give them a chance to develop next year "
BOO 0 Posted December 11, 2013 Good to see Morris continuing to do well! Holty showed a great interest in helping his development, hopefully this continues with the new guys in a similar way.
Cantiaci Canary 610 Posted December 11, 2013 How close is CM to a 1st team outing do folks think?
Bill 1,788 Posted December 11, 2013 Might be why Ellmander was only brought in on a year loanI''m sure the club will be looking at how far the youth players are when deciding on signings - as with RuddI expect though it will be a few more years before we really begin to see the benefits of the youth set upAs to Morris I would expect him to go out on loan into League 1/Championship firstlooking good though
jedi 0 Posted December 11, 2013 Dunno but he seems to score for fun, he''s got 2 in 3 for England U19s too.
Sussexyellow 55 Posted December 11, 2013 Nowhere near. Barring injuries his only chance would be if we are safe with several games to go.
RvWs 4 year contract 0 Posted December 12, 2013 Really well done lads.Got a mate who supports PNE so this is satisfying [:P]

Tetteys Jig 851 Posted December 12, 2013 Carlton Morris really does look the real deal, such a tank of a guy! I hope we see him for the first team soon.
chicken 0 Posted December 13, 2013 Was up A&E this evening (everything''s fine don''t worry!) and saw Neil Adams up there with another chap. No idea if it was a player but they were both in training gear so I hope all was OK.Neil twigged that I recognised him but as usual I turned into an embarrassed teenage girl for those vital few seconds but managed a nod. He said hi all the same. One of the hero''s of my teenage years he was and am chuffed to bits he is getting results and coaching with our youth. Looks like we''ve bought him a new player too.
