Essexiled Canary 0 Posted June 2, 2005 They havent got any money as it is and I would''ve thought that the creditors might want to see some of that tranfer money from Bent, Davies and any others!!With all of their best players leaving any players with ambition will not want to play there!!I don''t rate Royle very highly after another failed promotion attempt with probably the best team in the league!!What sort of squad do you think Ipswich will be left with at the end of the Summer and what do you think their future holds????? Yellow Rider 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Lets get our own house in order before we ridicule the Binners!12 months ago they shipped players out but then very nearly got automatic promotion! Royle is no fool, he knows what is required and has a lot of good young talent to call on.I would be very surprised if they are not play off contenders again (at least). First Wizard 0 Posted June 2, 2005
Only ''5'' question marks mate? Are you sure that will be enough?
Before we all dance on the blue corpse of Suffolk, I well remember a lot of City fans laughing at the plight of West Brom when Robson joined them. Err, right!. But the outlook for the binners is pretty awful, all my curse''s and Hex''s are still in place!.

Ken Aries 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Their outlook is probably not too rosy at the moment. But we should be careful before becoming too triumphant at their failure to win promotion last season. We could find ourselves in the same predicament at the end of next season. It must be a pisser to lead the division for most of the season, only to find you miss out at the final hurdle. Ha!Ha!Ha! The Walrus

In the Kingdom of the blind, the One-Eyed Man is King

0 Posted June 2, 2005 No matter who leaves, The Suffolk Binmen will be challenging for automatic promotion as they do each season. They may lose their best players, but they''ll have funds to get back up to speed. I expect them to be in the play-offs again. Saying that, if they''re playing with their new strip, and the Pot Noodle Horn shorts, i''m sure they''ll stay in the changing rooms for most matches. They''ll look like a cete of punk badgers. Hightower 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Agreed let''s keep it quiet for a bit. Also anyone worried?Well rated keeper and England under 21 striker go for £750,000 and £2.5m (rising to £3m). Market isn''t exactly buoyant at the moment...if our well rated keeper and England under 21 striker wanted to go I hope we''d get a lot more!!!

DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted June 2, 2005 You don''t rate Royle barclaykid? IMO he''s a superb manager. What''s he had to spend since he''s been down the road- 500K? Tops. To keep Ippo there are there abouts is a fantastic achievement. He''s a great wheeler and dealer and I guarantee he''ll do that again this close season. Ippo have lost some great players but they will be top 6 again next year. I betcha
FilletTheFishWife . 0 Posted June 2, 2005 I''d be reluctant to gloat until we see who we''ve got left after the vultures have finished their business at Carrow Rd.Its not unlikely that Green Francis Ashton Shackell will be on their way before the season starts.Oh well at least no one appears to be interested in Jonson. Strange that !

olster 0 Posted June 2, 2005 I am sorry but i can''t see how they are going to replace the possible departures of davis and miller and maybe kuqiI can''t see who they will get to replace bent either, guy at work who supports the binners reckons bowditch is a class act and price is a good young keeper but i can''t see them making better than mid table because you can''t see Joe getting all the money from player sales can you? LinkNR9 0 Posted June 3, 2005 They''re in the process of losing two strikers who have hit around 40 goals this season, as well as a very good keeper. In addition, their most creative player, Magilton, may well be too old to make a meaningful contribution from now on. They''ve next to nothing to spend and the squad must have no morale left after just missing out on promotion again. If BFJ can raise a real attempt at promotion this season, he will deserve a medal! Intenso 0 Posted June 3, 2005 Who''s fault is that Ipswich have financial problems ? Let us not forget the local traders who only received five pence in the pound after Sheepshank told us ITFC were the financial role model for smaller clubs. It now appears that the secured creditors ( banks etc. ) who restructured their debts now want paying and the loan on their stand requires payment instalments. Of the money they receive for Davis 50% will go to Wimbledon as a sell on.It''s time Ipswich took a reality check and Fat Joe realised that conceeding almost 130 goals in two seasons is not good enough for the Premiership. The season we went up as Champions, apart from doing the double over them, we finished 21 points ahead of them. FJ considered his side were the best in the league !!!! The future is very bleak for Ipswich and it is all self inflicted.
Robbo007 0 Posted June 3, 2005 I''m not a pro-scummer or anything, but i can''t feel anyone can knock what they have achieved. Fair enough, they have a few good players. but then look at the likes of Sheff Utd, Wolves, millwall...these teams should all of done better than ipswich.A scummer mate has said that Bent sounds like Francis, in that he had a good first half, and then went downhill. Even if they lose all their decent players (cough cough...) they will still be a force IMO

He talks utter crap always quick to quote the number of goals they have scored this season was best in division. But never has anything to say about the fact they have the worst goals against in division.I think him and the other pratt wilniss must go out together.they make a good pair be lovely too see them scrapping for survival there fans certainly deserve it. blacko 0 Posted June 10, 2005 Just spoke to a binner friend who says the money from bent will go to the bank. The money from daives will be available (after wimbledon have their slice) but don''t forget counago is off the books as he was released and apparently on between 12 and 20000 per week! C**st, I would have to be paid that to go and watch them!Nuts and bolts, not much to spend in transfer fees, but those three were on quite a lot of cash per week between them, which should get them between 3 and 5 fairly decent bosmans. On that basis, from their point of veiw, it''s not too bad.
