I have no idea whether you still read this forum or not, but I know that you used to occasionally chirp in with links to your little match reports.

I''ve noticed that you have stopped doing match reports and ''Hucks Meets'' on your website.

The match reports I understand, they just aren''t needed by anybody, everybody reads news sites and in this day and age everybody watches a stream from firstrowsports or somewhere anyway.

BUT.... the Hucks Meets things were absolutely brilliant, I miss them a tonne, and I''m sure others on here and on twitter or wotb or wherever miss those too.

Any plans to bring those back?

I''d love to see interviews of, and would have plenty of questions for:

Leon McKenzie

Jamie Cureton

Thomas Helveg

Mark Fotheringham (although best leave that one)

Yourself (with somebody else asking the questions)

Robert Green

Malky Mackay

Matthias Svensson

Yousef Safri

In fact, they were so good that I''m surprised Archant haven''t taken you on for a little ''Hucks Meets'' section on the PinkUn so that we can have one a month.

I used to read these - really enjoyed them and was a bit miffed when they stopped! Hopefully Hucks will realise there is a lot of interest in these, and resurrect them.

It can only benefit his charity work as the site will get more hits!

If they didn''t get many hits then perhaps they could be published by the pinkun, with a link back to his website or a "if you enjoyed this interview please donate to the huckerby trust here" or something.

They gave Iwan Roberts a column, can''t see why they can''t bung Hucks a hundred quid donation here and there for an interview, bet they would be the most popular features on the site.

I think if my memory serves me correct that the club stopped Hucks from doing the Hucks Meets. Shame, as was very interesting.

Good point Willmeister.  Reminds me why the stuff stopped in the first place. 

 

I think both the Hucks Meets and the match reports stopped when Hucks got a formal role with the U16 coaching set up with the club''s academy.  I believe he has been asked to act like any other employee and leave the PR to the PR dept at the club.  It is usually within the job contract!! 

 

So unless the Club PR says yes I don''t think we will see this happen.  Or if it does it will be so sanitised and matey that it will be pretty boring anyway.

I really can''t see the issue with a former player interviewing a former player, especially a retired one on a charity website!

What other former player could be rope into taking over the Hucks mantle for some interviews? It doesn''t have to be Hucks, but seems as if most Norfolk based former players work for the club in some capacity.

Adrian Forbes and Grant Holt are both coaching at Norwich as well.

They stopped match reports from players who were actually playing in the matches (eg Adam Drury). I don''t think they can stop ex players from doing interviews etc. I think it was Hucks choice and his alone.

GingerPele, no he coaches at Norwich. They recently played Swansea though, perhaps that is where you are confused. I''d hazard a huge guess that you have seen Swansea academy players conversing with Forbesy on Twitter and put 2 and 2 together, not quite getting the answer right.

A co-worker of mine is Joint Manager of Monmouth Town and he told me that Chrs Llewelyn was playing for an oppoing team against them recently.  Monmouth Town doing very well by the way if you want to look at them in your accumulators.....
