Jacko 0 Posted September 30, 2012 If we play Holty up front on his own it is going to be a long afternoon. If you are going to play him utilise him to his strengths. Which is linking up with another striker alongside him. If you aren''t going to do that don''t bother playing him at all.
Row D Seat 7 0 Posted September 30, 2012 Don''t think it will make any difference. If we can''t keep a hold on Suarez, Gerrard, Allen and Sterling I don''t think we stand too much chance with Torres, Hazard, Oscar, Lampard, Mata etc etc.I think we are in for a hiding at the Bridge on Saturday. Move Klose 303 Posted September 30, 2012 I know what your saying but i just don''t know if Morison is up for doing it on his own either. I think we wasted the summer trying to find a new keeper, centre half in Michael Turner, a tottenham reserve striker and would of been better spending time and money on a striker who can play up top on his own and also keeping Holt, Morison, Vaughan & Jackson. Move Klose 303 Posted September 30, 2012 I know Fletcher went to Sunderland for about £13m and Lukaku went on loan to WBA and Villa signed that Belgium striker Benetke for £7m so they are out there. Spent £2m on Turner and Bunn.

Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted September 30, 2012 Lets face it no matter who we play we are going to let in goals. Our midfield sadley are not scoring either. Our best option is Morison and Holt up front they are a handful and dont forget we did score 2 yesterday when they were together. the reality is we are probably going to be on the end of a good hiding again with this fixture which will just add to the doom and gloom
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted September 30, 2012 "If" we''re going one up front, I don''t get peoples perception that Morison is better suited to that job than Holt. True it''s not ideal for Holt but at least he will work accross the line and attempt to link up between midfield. As we saw at Newcastle last week ,asking Morison to do any of this is a total waste of time. Morison should either be in a 4-4-2 with two out and out wingers supplying crosses or not on the pitch at all.

The key to next week is getting Bassong back in time.
paul moy 235 Posted September 30, 2012 If we''re going to lose anyway, why not go down attacking with fast wingers (Pilks and Elliot) and two up front. Let''s try and score some goals and cause thenm problems rather than thinking about problems they might cause us, and we might even get a surprise result. Defend and we will lose at least 5-0 IMO. delta bravo 0 Posted September 30, 2012 Why can''t we play Jackson up front on his own? Works for spurs with Defoe and Liverpool with Suarez, I know they are international class players but Jackson is more mobile than holt and Morison, runs the channels and playing him might mean we don''t resort to lumping it forward all the time. I might have missed it but don''t think it''s been suggested on here? I think it''s a better option, means all our attacking midfielders should get in the game more
