and we currently have 26 players vying for 25 places - so will have our own players unusuable - Lappin I am assuming - unless we plan on loaning someone else in to get an unattached player in.

That squad list is for the Champs League not Premier League - although there probably won''t be any differences for the Premier League squad there is a chance due to some issues around Club Grown players, can only think of Terry in their team who came through the clubs ranks, possibly Bertrand but can''t remember how old he was when signed from Gillingham.

Where on earth is this nonsense coming from - the rules are fairly simple

 

8) Players from the 25-man squad cannot be replaced if they are loaned to Football League clubs, but can regain their spot in the group if they return to the parent club.

 

9) Clubs do not have to name a full squad of 25 if they do not have that many contracted players and in this case they can add free agents outside the transfer window. However if they have 25 eligible contracted players, they must be named.

We have 25 eligible contracted players (26 I believe) so rule 9 applies

 

Even if we loan out a player we cannot bring in another player - be he free, unattached, single, divorced, looking for a fit of football on the side or whatever else so rule 8 applies

Back to the original post. Seems as though he''s not been left out (according to the squad list posted in the "25 man squad" thread).

Surprised to see that David Bentley has been remembered in Tottenham''s as well. One player that AVB has forgotten to sell.

Malouda has been included in the Chelsea 25, unless there is another player there called Florent Johan Malouda..
