Andy, you give me too much credit![;)] I get (I think!) the point you think I was making, about how Ipswich only have one fan, but that was purely accidental on my part. A happy accident, of course. I was just, in my nerdy way, highlighting how what is actually a powerful page is spoiled by a bit of illiteracy in the top headline.

On a serious note I think the main failure behind Ipswich''s transfer dealings is Simon Clegg, the chief executive. Whilst Keane had massive failings as a manager, many players that he wanted to sign slipped through his fingers because Clegg could never close any deals. He had Shaun Derry ready to sign who then went to QPR when Clegg stalled. Likewise they seemed to have Charlie Austin in the bag under Jewell and he ended up at Burnley. Had he been our chief executive rather than David McNally I dread to think where we would be.

I really don''t care what happens down the road, best back page ever would be Norwich winning a cup, staying in this league next season, staying in this league the season after.Don''t care about Ipswich.

The rivalry and banter that stems from it are really good fun. Which is part of what being a football fan is about. So I do care about how they get on. But like you say what we do is much more important.

Jacko for me I don''t mind them doing reasonably well... because if we didn''t have a rivalry it would be pretty dull with our local rival being colchester so far down the road and never likely to meet due to league position.Personally back pages with the end of West Ham and Leeds top my bill in regard to bad news with our clubs with probably QPR and Chelsea close behind. Time for clubs with big owners to just collapse and bring footbal lto what it should be. But if West Ham had stayed down last season I would have been so happy, in fact I loved the fact that Ipswich beat that at Portman Road.

Would I sign for them??

Yes, of course I would - then I would promptly score as many own goals as humanly possible. (although to be fair I think Gareth McAuley already tried that).
A good back page. Shame about the apostrophe being in the wrong place...
I may be wrong, but I''m sure enough to raise the challenge...it''s not! it certainly shouldn''t be a "whats'' " or "whats"

Thats the thing about Ipswich. I don''t actually hate them per se, its almost a sort of pantomimi style rivalry which is good fun. Where as I do actually have a genuine contempt for clubs like West Ham. Particularly their board because lets face you will have to go a very long way in football to find a more odious collection of individuals.

Indeed. It should be "...on every fan''s lips..." since "every" is a singular.

Well I detest Ipswich because they are Ipswich but also for the way the screwed local businesses and then had the cheek to be waving ten pound notes at us when they had a supposed saviour who doesn''t seem to be doing much saving
