Exactly. He is sizing up to be a very good manager with a superb record over the last three seasons, with the added advantage of being a Norwich legend. He''s perfect for the job.

I personally think he is a good manger not getting the respect he deserves as a candidate simply because he is an ex player. Getting a pretty toothless Cardiff to a Cup final and into the playoffs is the sign of a good manager. He also doesn''t play hoof football, yet we do (check the stats sometime). Wouldn''t be my first choice, but if he comes, I will not be unhappy.

Rather have Hughton got Newcastle back up, done wonders with Brum last year, pretty good eye for talent, Malky still learning imo.

Malky is a NCFC legend, similar to Gunn.

But....let''s not be silly, Gunn has/had no managerial experience!

Malky has done a great job with Watford and Cardiff, to even compare the two is unfair on Malky.

I don''t want Malky Mackay - we finished last season as a mid table Premiership team ... we should aim higher.

 

Maybe after 5 more years of sustained success Mackay could be considered but why do we have to plump for a manager who has performed reasonably well in a few Championship seasons?
