Grrr!! This site!

Recommended Posts

No CA, its not just you...I''ve spent the past hour catching up on all the news and opinions from the past few days elsewhere - sadly, I think this site is going the same way as the Italian Cruise business...

It''s been the same for me too. Whaddacrocko''sh*t.

If I got the impression anyone cared I wouldn''t be here moaning.

Maybe it''s time to look for a new home for Rays Funds and what a shame that would be.

Head of IS says "Should now be back up and running… Have made a couple of config changes to prevent the sites breaking so easily too."

Can we trust him Pete?

Have you checked out his credentials?

Could he be a binner (or even worse a purist?)?

It''s a record of failure so far and you, my friend, are on the front line taking the flak....#

It just died [:(] -

Critical Error: Data Store Unavailable

The data store used by Community Server cannot be opened.

Please ensure that your database is online and running and that the connection string in your web.config file is correct.

To configure your connection string:

1. Open [Install Location of Community Server]\web\web.config

2. Within web.config find the configuration section (highlighted) below:

    <configuration>

<appSettings>

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="[Your connection string here]" >

</appSettings>

</configuration>

3. Modify the value to properly identify your database.

For example, to connect to a database named CommunityServer on the current machine with an account csSystem and the password pa$$word12:

  connectionString = "server=.;database=CommunityServer;uid=csSystem;pwd=pa$$word12"

For more information you can also visit http://www.communityserver.org the home of Community Server.

I''ve never not been able to get on for days at a time.  I can usually get on after lots of perseverance.

On the odd occasion where it seems like I can''t get on I have managed to get on via the pinkun mobile site.  It''s an awful layout on a pc/laptop, but it gets you on if you need / want to - http://m.pinkun.com/
