ryan1992 0 Posted July 28, 2011 Just incase anybody is interested, Stoke won their first leg 1-0. The 2nd leg in Croatia is next week. (incase anybody is wondering why this would be of any interest of NCFC fans, Should Stoke get to the next round of the Uefa Cup, then our game against them at CR may have to be moved, probably to the Sunday). Really hoping they lose the second leg, I think they will, given that they only won 1-0 at home
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted July 28, 2011 On the other hand if they get through to the next round they may draw a team from eastern Russia to play on a Thursday night and then have to come back and prepare for a match at carrow rd on Sunday?!?!.....it may play into our hands yet !! It would also be fantastic to listen to the likes of Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon, for example, bitch about the long balls and physical stuff should Stoke make the group stage. Purely from a personal point of view, the ex wife letting me have my son on his birthday (20th) and ive got tickets, i do not want it moved and i would love to see them lose the 2nd leg. Surely it''s better to play a team low on confidence who are losing games than it is to play a team high on confidence because they have been winning games?? ! Guest Posted August 4, 2011 It''s all over, Stoke are through. Hopefully they draw a Russian club in the playoff round and have the first leg away!
Chrisr 0 Posted August 4, 2011 Does this now mean our home match with them will have to be moved to the Sunday? I was under the impression this would be the case if they won this tie. Good for me as I have to play cricket on the Sat, not so good for most I would think.
Guest Posted August 4, 2011 Almost certainly yes. The draw for the next round (two-legged playoff) is tomorrow by the way.
Mr Brownstone 0 Posted August 4, 2011 Thank god for that. Missus is having surgery on the Friday and they want to keep her in for 24 hours.Cheers Stoke.
Matt Juler 208 Posted August 4, 2011 Officially it could move to Monday evening, but the most likely is 3pm on Sunday.
Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 4,614 Posted August 4, 2011 I''d be shocked if our game is anything other than 3pm on the Sunday...Hopefully they get a nice away trip to Dnipro, Zestafoni, Dinamo Tbilisi, Alania, Karpaty or one of the Tel-Aviv teams on the 18th. A horrible trip, but a tie they should come through.

Graham Humphrey 13 Posted August 4, 2011 I can''t see it being the Monday as the second round of the Carling Cup takes place that week.

Branston Pickle 4,145 Posted August 4, 2011 Almost certain to be Sunday, that would mean we don''t get a home 3pm Saturday kick off until mid-October!!
Hoolahans Ped 0 Posted August 4, 2011 would have thought Monday would be the more likely as there is currently no monday night football planned for that night.
BigManInTheBarclay 84 Posted August 4, 2011 Monday would be a nightmare for me as I''d be travelling from London fingers-crossed for a Sunday fixture!
