funny old game

Loans paying dividends

Recommended Posts

Routledge scored 2 in 2 to give QPR 6pts in last 2 games Yakubo 2 in 3 for leicester helping them to max points, we really need a little quality to help in the final push, but who...?

Benni McCarthy. Had injury problems in the top flight, but hasn''t had a chance to prove himself in the past year... I think he''d be very successful in the Championship. He''s currently frozen out at West Ham, sitting there earning but not been registered to play for them. He''s understandably (IMHO) not willing to tear up his contract despite being offered a £1million payoff. I imagine he''d be willing to come here in order to get some games, as he can''t play in the Premiership; and probably wouldn''t cost that much in terms of wages - I reckon if we offered to pay 50% of his wages, West Ham might take it since whatever money we offer them is better than nothing from their point of view...

When Yakubu signed for Leicester he got a right slating on here and people were saying he was a total waste of money. Yakubu on loan here would have cost quite a bit of Foulgers £2m for the sake of 4 months.

Didn''t we win again today and sit 3rd in the table only on goal difference?

I know everyone wants a "marquee signing" to signal our intent, but Leicester sold a really good striker in Fryatt for over a million pounds just to fund Yakubu''s loan fee, not to mention the wages he is on.  For every good loan signing from the Premiership who does well, you have the crap as well, and I don''t think that is Lambert''s way.  And for that personally I am pleased!

Yes, what a shame we don''t have a good loanee - especially one who can score

....checks table,

"ah yes, virtulaly every other club have score more goals than us ........ wel two, actually"

Shame we can''t get Holt to score either

We did win again we are sitting third. I am not interested in a "marquee signing" (never heard that term before) to signal our intent. I want another player in to improve our chances of winning even more games and maybe get higher than third. I am really happy with what we have done so far but I am hoping we improve.

Benni McCarthy is the last player I would want here.

1. A stinking attitude

2. Over weight

3. Incapable of scoring in the past few seasons

4. Ridiculously expensive in wages

5. The opposite of what Lambert wants (hungry)

In other words he would be the equivalent of Sibierski and Hartson combined and cost ten times more.

Why are you replying as if you''re the OP? He specifically referenced two players who are high profile and would be costing QPR and Leicester respectively a lot of money, we have been down that road before and got burnt, remember the likes of Sibierski?

I would certainly be happy if Lambert got someone in on loan to help out in the run-in, but that certainly would not be Benni McCarthy!  Need players who would fit into the ethos at the club, and I trust Lambert to find the right player when he feels the need.

What a surprise, usual suspects producing same old witty jibes, fact is an injury to Holt (god forbid) or key player without cover- Ruddy, R Martin or centre halves,  A couple of suspenions (lansbury, croft? on 3or 4 bookings at the moment) and we will find ourselves very lightwieght, I completely understand the arguement for going with what we have, after the terrible experiences of loans under roeder (it will be difficult to find someone with the work ethics of say - Dion Dublin)  Personally i would suggest Kevin Philips (wants to play & out of contract in summer) or possibly a cheeky move for leroy Lita (if allowed) with view to perminent deal if promoted.

If we maintain our current average of roughly 2pts a game we will have 6 massive games in 22 days in April that will determine oue destiny, the squad is relitively small in terms of quality cover & players currently in the team are giving incredible amounts of effort to grind out results week in week out, this will take its toll eventually (June hopefully), Im sure lambert has identified this & in an effort to have fringe players MATCH fit has put many out on loan, I will be amazed if a couple aren''t brought in,  All will be revealed, speculate to accumilate & all that. We really have nothing to lose & everything to gain, If you dont agree maybe start a thread suggesting M Fs 2mill be used to payoff a bit of the debt & the need to lower expectations,
