and not sure if its been posted alrady! but....Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan has told West Ham he will only buy the club if the price is reduced because of the debt he would be taking on - and could invest in Norwich, Ipswich, Cardiff, Leicester or Charlton if he cannot strike a deal

Mmm, what kind of limit will he place on loans repayment. Norwich we all know are just over £20 million in debt, the Binners are reputedly already well into the mid £40 million plus mark so close to Wet Sham territory, not sure about Leicester and Charlton have just seen investment that has reduced their overall debt. On this basis, I would think Charlton are more likely than us, Binners thankfully well off the pace.

Yup I read this on the BBC gossip column and took it for exactly that: paper talk. It''s widely known he wants back into football and is a West Ham supporter. The rest is just conjecture with no proof to back it up.

Yes but lets face it, if anyone of us had a spare 50 odd million would we buy Cardiff or Norwich, He''s West ham through and through, So I think we can safely say we won''t be seeing him and his money here
how on earth are ipswich in that much debt when they thrown so much money at thier team , didnt the debt have have get wiped out ..?
You see this is the big myth and something that really grates, how often have we heard “We should be more like Ipswich and spend all that money” over the last few months, the fact is all they have done is increase the size of their debt, nothing more.

Evans bought the original debt for a knock down figure and has in essence lent the club even more money, he charges it interest and it becomes repayable after a few seasons of Premiership football (not looking likely) but of course what happens when good old Marcus (honest local lad that he is) can’t , doesn’t or won’t continue funding the club?

He can accept it as a loss, can the debt and walk away so its bye bye Scum or he can try and sell it, with no meaningful balance sheet what have they actually got for sale? Not a lot, a failing football club with £40 + m of debt and no assets, cosmic!

Whilst the last chapter in our own club has been as arduous as it has been tedious there is an enormous sting in the tail of Evans and his Scum, sit back, relax and watch it all unfold.  Let’s not forget our learned brethren all thought it was a terribly good idea which in the normal scheme of things is not something they are renowned for noticing under their own steam, they all seemed oblivious to Sheepshanks stuffing the creditors so why should Evans be any different?

Sullivan will I suspect buy West Ham, there aren’t exactly ready suitors lining up so he’ll play a canny game of bluff and get it for a knock down sum, a pity but there again with good old Roy blowing yet more of  his Ocean Finance loan down the road I suppose we can’t be greedy.
didnt the debt they had get wiped out ..sorry
eh ! ! !

Other than the dimwits on twtd I though it was pretty much known that the debt remained with ITFC. Accrueing interest as you read.

The millions you talk of are just a figment of somone''s imagination. Counting the total legth of contract may add up to a million plus figure but if you seriouls swallow the figures for Norris and McCauley I suggest you should get out a bit more. All this info is readily available on the internet.

As you might ask why they never threw a few million at a few loanees when they were just outside the playoff ?. Why they had to shift so many players this summer ? Why is there a smaller squad ?  Why does Clegg talk of reducing the annual losses ? Why are they in the position they are in now if there is all this claimed money ?

A note to Burygreen. Word is that no money was handed over to NU to settle the debt. Merely that Evans would pay it back once they were in the Premier. Hence the position they are in now

West Ham are not so attractive according to this.

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/David-Sullivan-warns-West-Ham-he-will-only-buy-the-club-at-a-knockdown-price-article180847.htmlare not so attractive, according to this:

It depends how you interpret it.  To me it says he clearly wants West Ham provided the price is ''right'', and I doubt if West Ham can afford to be picky.  Will probably happen imo.

Talk of Sullivan coming to Norwich is not and has never been anything more than wishful thinking imo.
