GJP 79 Posted October 7, 2009 He''s had a decent start to the season. Hopefully he can do even better and prove himself even more over the coming months.

hogesar 10,770 Posted October 7, 2009 Of course i''d want him to sign another deal - very few people would argue otherwise. However, am i right in saying that when Peter Grant signed him up, he was ''offered one of the best deals he''d ever seen a youngster given?'' or similar? If he''s on high wages, you''d hope he''d take a cut. Obviously depends if we''re back in the championship or not. It''s just, i remember when he first broke into the team people claimed there were Manchester United scouts etc. I''m just hoping the club didnt panic and offer him a hugely excessive deal. I very much doubt he is in the same bracket as Cureton, Russell, Doherty and Hoolahan.
Josh 0 Posted October 8, 2009 I like him, his goals have been of real quality so far this season. Definately deserves a contract.

First Jedi 0 Posted October 8, 2009 "you''d hope he''d take a cut."Have you ever had a job in your life, where you''d willing take a pay cut, just because the company itself wasn''t doing as well as when you first joined? I know I haven''t!
SBLANL 0 Posted October 8, 2009 So no negatives. this is amazing. i remember reading this board in the not to distant past and every post was slating the lad!!!i hope he keeps up with the goals but still think he is a really intelligent player too and offers more then just goals!!! Hucka Hucka Huckerby 0 Posted October 8, 2009 He looks a much improved player which shows his loan time at Luton was definitely beneficial. You just know he''s gonna have an awesome season, score 20 goals & then walk on a free!!
First Wizard 0 Posted October 8, 2009 I''d be happier if we signed him on a longer deal ASAP.
