I can''t see this mentioned anywhere, so I''ll start a new thread. Gunn said in the post match interview when asked about Maric,"I have received the answer but I''m not in the position to tell you what

it is. We''ll keep that under wraps for a couple of days."Surely if he wasn''t going to sign then he'' just say? This suggests to me they''re just tying up final terms.

Or he refused the contract offer but negotiations are ongoing. Who knows ... just hope he''s on the pitch as a Norwich player on Aug 8th.

I can''t see gunns response meaning it was a no, but it''s tricky to read into these things.

This and the RB situation are the burning issues remaining. Gunn can''t look for another striker until the Maric situation is resolved but given his successes in getting new players in I think he''ll sort it one way or another.

My post was merely pointing to the fact that if you''re not going to check to see if it''s a duplicate post you should strap on a pair, man up and say that. No need for lame excuses just say you haven''t looked, no one cares and if they do then that''s up to them.

The way I see it is that Maric has turned down the original offer. Gunn is not going to comment as he and the team are considering putting in an improved offer. Therefore, he doesn''t want to let the news out so the fans think we have lost him.

I take this to mean that he will be signing but Gunn won''t come out and say it until it''s done and dusted. I guess it''s the usual story of things can still go wrong until he''s passed a medical, got international clearance and actually signed on the dotted line. He said nothing about Whaley and Wiggins until unveiling them.

The use of ''given him the nod'' suggests it''s a yes and I expect he''ll be a city player by Thursday. I''ll be pleased if he signs but remain cautious until I see him play.

i find it hard to believe a player travels across europe for a trial and the manager who is looking at him would have no idea what salary the player expects .

otherwise a wasted effort for all parties concerned and wasted money and time .

the agent of the player must have done his homework first i would have thought .

if it was a no i think we would have been told like the other players that have come in and gone.

i hope he signs for us i hope mr mcnally is pulling the stops out for him he could be a great player for us.
