The Bunny 328 Posted September 30, 2004 I think a total strategic rethink is called for. How about LewisHelveg Fleming Brennan ShackellBentley Francis Safri Mulryne McKenzie Worthington

Creative Midfielder 2,203 Posted October 1, 2004 I''m absolutely certain that we wont start like this but the line up that I''d like to see is:GreenEdworthy Doc Charlton DruryBentley Holt Francis BrennanMcKensie HuckerbySubsFleming, Safri, Jarvis, McVeigh
Bayern Eunuch 1 Posted October 1, 2004 Let''s go at ''em with 4-3-3 with a defensive midfield to compensate. GreenEdworthyCharltonFlemingDruryHoltFrancisBrennanHuckerbySvennsonMcKenzieBring Hendo on for one of the strikers once we''re 3-0 up !
ZLF 342 Posted October 1, 2004 I cant agree with putting Doct into the back 4 at the expense of Flem. Although the defence hardly played well against ''pool they have been consistent and flem/charlton have gelled well.I think the defence will and should be unchanged. I would still prefer Helveg for Eddie as we lose too much possession with Eddy - but eddie was our best defenser last week so that would be harsh. In midfield I would still go with Holt over safri. I know what I get with Holt whereas Safri is either composed and influential (Spurs second half) or off the pace and conceeds possession too soon (Liverpool). As there are significant changes (formation) elsewhere some consistency is needed. In the wider positions I would go for McVeigh and Jonson - up front we know it is Hux and Leon - about time!On the subs bench we have Ward, Helveg, Docherty, Bentley & Jarvis ahead of Safri (Helveg & Bentley give midfield cover) and Svensson (Docherty is already the target man for Leon as well as defensive cover).OTBC
G Unit 0 Posted October 1, 2004 I know this isn''t poss for 2''row because Mullers played for the reserves. But when he gets back to full fitness I would like to see this:                     Green Helveg     Flem     Charlton    Drury Bentley    Mulryne     Safri    Brennan               Jonson   Hucks Doherty, Holt, McVeigh, Leon

LeedsYellow 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Like your line up Creative Midfielder, although I think Flem''s earned a start over the Doc...Agree we''re unlikely to see the return of Brennan but think he''d be perfect given the opposition...
