Remember folks the following items are amongst those prohibited by Royal Mail and it may also constitute a criminal offence to send any of the following:

• Livestock• Asbestos• Clinical and medical waste• Flammable, non-flammable, toxic compressed gases 4• Corrosives• Environmental waste• Explosives• Filth• Flammable liquids or solids• Indecent, obscene or offensive material• Infectious substances (UN2814 or UN2900) as classified at Division 6.2 of the 2005-2006 Edition Technical Instructions for Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air published by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation)• Oxidising materials or organic peroxides• Pesticides• Toxic liquids, solids or gases• Poisons• All radioactive material and samples that are classified as radioactive using Table2-12 of the latest edition of the International Civil Aviations Organisation’s Technical Instructions• Weapons of war, except those which are restricted materials• Ammunition

And sadly for Delia it is also unlawful to send: Alcoholic liquids with alcohol content higher than 70%. [:(]

Hilarious.

Excellent reply to post topic.

For me, I simply cannot decide between the highlighted 2.

Sadly I was going to send her my old duck, he''s gone a bit lame recently but I thought he would remind Delia of her years at the club but when I found out you can''t send livestock I killed him since you are allowed to send meat. But poor old Hartson the duck was British so she probably won''t want to cook him after what I''ve read today. [:(]Still if she''s got a pond she can put him in and he''ll just be dead in the water which I guess is roughly the sentiment I was trying to impart.

Is this the proper one or the official one?

Just wondered as I wanted to know if the flags would be flying over Carrow road or not.

If only we could give her the magic gift of making all the bad publicity go away!

''Poor Delia Smith, 68 today. The iconic chef, whom many have seen as the shining, classic embodiment of the happy British kitchen for a generation, has caused such a catastrophic backlash with her TV series, "How To Cheat at Cooking," that she may never recover. Alas, Ms. Smith, who suggests using ready-made foods, such as frozen mashed potatoes and packaged grated cheese, has angered pretty much every member of the food police in Britain, from yuppie to medical charity. The campaign group Consensus Action of Salt and Health (CASH) has collected figures showing that Ms. Smith uses outrageous levels of salt in her recipes; her Carbonara Real Quick, with its bacon bits and lots of Pecorino, contains 7 grams per serving. The recommended daily salt intake is 6 grams. CASH accuses her of putting people''s health at risk with the recipes in this series — as if Delia is single-handedly going over to people''s houses and poisoning them, or forcing their hand at the stove. Some reports have even had her responsible for potentially "killing" people with her recipes.

Heart Research UK warned that the recipes on "How To Cheat at Cooking" should be taken with a pinch of — well, not salt — and only used occasionally. The group''s lifestyle manager, Denis Armstrong, said: "It''s a shame that Delia hasn''t used her good reputation to encourage people to eat a healthier diet by demonstrating the many ways to make quick and easy meals, using healthy ingredients, without resorting to high salt, high fat foods." Evidently in these days of food-obsessed, organic-mad, locally sourced, environmentally crazed uprightness, Delia has done just about the worst thing possible. Sadly for Delia, as she approaches the age of 70 she seems to be pressing the self-destruct button. A review of media (in it''s many forms) results in an ever growing number of controversial cookery issues of which she is the root cause.

Perhaps she should have entered retirement three years ago.''

Oh yes - Happy Birthday, Smith. No.
